Default Going to try calorie counting...

After many failed diet attempts, I'm going to try calorie counting.

I don't have much time in my day to use an online tracking, so I figure using a little notepad will work for me. Does that sound like a good way to start off?

Thanks =)

By the way, why does my tracker say 1000 pounds gained? lol...I've definately not EVER gained that much weight.

Your ticker cracks me up! Maybe retry making it and see what happens?

Welcome to calorie counting! I am new to this too somewhat... the notepad seems like a great idea, but really... TDP or other calorie counting websites are SO easy! Just search for the food and click "I ate it!" It's that easy!

Hey purple!

Calorie counting is a good way to lose weight. I have tried so many things and it wasnt until I made a real commitment to calorie counting that I started to lose weight and maintain/ keep it off.

Using a notebook is a good idea! I keep track of everything I eat. I use the net to look up calories I eat. Anyway, you are in the right place for support. I wish you lots of success!

I used a notepad at first but then wehen I had a second plugged it all in online. Now I just write it on a sheet of paper and keep a running tally all day.

I am very new to calorie counting too. I have been using Fitday, but I am at the computer most of the day so its easier for me. I have tried just about every diet in the world but I think I can stick with this one. Good luck and welcome!

I am a calorie counter , too. I also use the trusty notebook method. I plan everything ahead and follow my plan. Many people prefer the online method, I say do whatever works for you. Good luck.
