Default Bad day.

Ugh... on my way home from work i saw i had a message on my phone.. it was from my husband... he said, "i have some news.. and it's not very good... call me."

Well.. there were some changes at his work and he was transferred which could mean a pay decrease. This is definitely not what we need right now, not after recently buying a house, then getting married, and now preparing to create a family.

So, i feel blah and just awful. The good news is, i binged.... ON SALAD. And i did an extra hard cardio work out for 50 minutes to get out the frustration.

I still need some strength for when he gets home in about an hour.

Sorry to hear about the bad news, but really glad to hear that you handled it in a healthier way than eating a box of cookies!

Thanks for the kind words! I feel just crappy because of the situation, but this is definitely a great test for me and my changed lifestyle of emotional eating. a couple of months ago, i would have headed straight into the arms of ben & jerry.

It's a huge step to be able to handle things without the food comforting us.

Ugh, I know the sinking sensation you get when you start to be concerned and scared about money and jobs. My husband lost his job once when we first got married...it's like a rug being yanked out from underneath you. I'm really sorry that happened....but things DO get better and they WILL get better. And you both have each other, which helps out so much when times are uncertain.

Kudos on the salad and exercise. I would have gone for the cookies.

No... just a different location in town. It just could potentially mean less money due to comissions etc. We are barely hanging on as it is. Well... not barely... but this could be a REALLY tough blow.

He was just a mess once he got home last night. It was horrible. I have to be strong for him.. so i will continue on my path for health since it does make me stronger... not just physically but mentally.

Daisy, you really seem to have a good attitude about this. I know if must be tough but you can always turn to us! Maybe the commissions at the new location won't be so bad.

First of all, I'm sorry that this is a stressful time for you and your husband. I do believe that this will stengthen your relationship and just make you stronger people in general. At least you have each other!

And secondly, I am so proud of how you handled the situation by "binging" on the salad, and working out harder. It's times like these when we justify eating the wrong things the most, so again, good job and hang in there!
