I've already called and had the public school put me back on the sub list. I really need to find steady employment.

That stinks! I was laid off the end of Aug and I'm still looking for a job. I was in the mortgage industry, so that makes it harder. I'm going back to school to get a paralegal certificate, hopefully that'll help with my job search.

I'm sure you'll find something soon. Keep you chin up.

Moo,

This seems to be the way of the world now huh? I believe that everything happens for a reason (even if at the time it doesn't seemt that way) - something better is around the corner.
Good luck!

think positive, keep your chin up, and while looking in the want ads, dont eat anything (if you are an eater while you read) drink water! walk while you have the time, and dont sit idle waiting for them to call you. plan your interview out fit, and be sure to keep up with your weight goals... as someone else on the thread said, 'as one door closes another one opens' and truely as it's happened to me 3 times now, it's usually a better situation or even better paying! Stay positive! you are great at what you do, and it was only because you were the last one hired that you were let go... surely!

My first thought was..Wow this sucks...I need chocolate to make me feel better! I did have two candy kisses to help the suck factor....which is way better then eating a bag of them.

My company had a big layoff a few years back and everyone I know about from that layoff is doing good or better. Sometimes a layoff is the kick in the pants you need to do what you really want.

My husband and I had talked about my staying home for years, but we never took the leap. I made 50% of our income, so it was scary. Then, last year, I was laid off. So, now I'm home and it has been such a blessing for us.

Make lemonade, girl!
