Default If you could pick the ingredient for Iron Chef...

...what would you choose?

I was flipping, and caught a few re-runs of Iron Chef. I always enjoyed the show, and was wondering what I'd pick as an ingredient for those chefs to play around with...

I think I'd pick Butternut Squash. Not terribly uncommon, but I'm just wondering what fun food combinations they'd come up with for it.

I think I'd pick tomatoes. I would be interested to see the different things that can be made that aren't the every day speghetti sauce and pizza and stuff like that. I also LOVE fresh locally grown tomatoes. I could eat them all day! I would also like to see them require a dessert out of it, lol. Hey, it's technically a fruit, right?

I love Iron Chef. It's one of my favorite shows along with Alton Brown's Good Eats and Food Network Challenge, lol.

Salmon. I gag down a piece of salmon each week just for the nutritional value, but it kills me. I would love to figure out how to make it taste delicious!

I'd pick liver. My mom used to make barbeque chicken livers with lots of onions. I'd like to see what else could be made with it and have it taste good.

Brocolli! Let's see what they could make with it.
