lean ground beef, seasoned like you would a fatty roast beef. Place ina roaster with veggies (taters, carrots, onions) and cook until all is done. (burger should be partially frozen as it will cook alot faster than the taters). Use beef bouillon instead of butter or oil, and add a small drizzle of red wine in the last ten minutes of cooking.

Brown it in a pan and the drain it and rinse it in very hot water to get all the extra fat off. Then use to make:

Tacos (add a packet of seasoning, and use in whole grain tortillas or corn shells, with lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, fat free refried beans, and grated 2% cheddar)

Sloppy joes (packet of seasoning, tomato sauce, beans if you like) on whole wheat buns

Spaghetti sauce (from a jar is fine)

Veg Beef soup (tomato sauce, chicken broth, bag of frozen mixed veggies, packet of dry onion soup, seasonings)

Stroganoff (can of healthy request mushroom soup, chopped onions, mushrooms, squirt of ketchup, seasonings, light sour cream, over no yolk egg noodles)

Taco salad (seasoning packet, salad with black olives, canned beans, avocado, salsa, tomatoes)

Chili (tomato sauce, onions, tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, corn, chili powder, garlic)

I like allrecipes.com to find good recipes for things as well.

I make a Chili that has butternut squash and ground Turkey in it. I think it's on the cooking light website, but theirs calls for beef.

I usually make burgers or tacos/burritos out of my ground turkey...

if you add some diced onion to the burger mix they won't dry out as much - since turkey usually gets pretty dry before it ever gets fully cooked.

For the tacos I just do as mentioned above. For burritos I usually toss some black beans in the pan once the turkey is browned to heat it up. If I'm not feeling too lazy I might make some brown rice and put that in there too. Yum.

I mix my ground turkey about 3/4 turkey, 1/4 extra lean ground beef - gives it that kinda beefy taste hehehe -- tacos you cannot tell the difference, same with spaghetti sauce

i made the same ratio for meatballs and the italian hubby didn't even notice heheheh yay!
