My tastes are a bit eclectic, and I listen to a wide variety of songs, but... some of my favorites -
Eminem - Lose Yourself (the clean version) - I save this one for that moment when I'm most wanting to quit. The chorus says, "You better lose yourself in the music, the moment. You own it. You better never let it go."
Meredith Brooks - *****
MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This
Evanescence - Call Me When You're Sober - for warming up or cooling down
Maroon 5 - This Love and Harder to Breathe
C&C Music Factory - Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)
Nine-Inch Nails - Head Like a Hole
Toby Keith - As Good As I Once Was
Meat Loaf - Anything for Love - I use this one when I want to fool myself about how long I'm running. I tell myself, "I can do anything for the duration of just one song." The song, of course, is 12 minutes long!
Great thread, by the way. I'm looking to update my MP3 selection, so I'm interested in hearing what others use.
At Curves I'm at the mercy of their bad tapes, but at home I've been partial to my Prince's greatest hits and my brother made me a greatest hits from the 80's that I love to pop in.
I am a country girl. I primarily listen to my man, Randy Travis but I do like others, Gary Allan, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, my fellow Kansan Martina McBride. Oh and I do have the song Proud on my iPod.

I'm not a modern country fan, just the classic stuff, but I love Randy Travis. He used to come into the Starbucks I worked at in the airport sometimes. He was SO cool, he'd hang out and chat for a while, totally down to earth. I don't know why but I thought you'd appreciate that. I know I like to hear when celebs I like are not jerks IRL.
Turn the Beat Around - Vicki Sue Robinson
We Didn't Start the Fire- Billy Joel
Living La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin
Cup of LIfe - Ricky MArtin
Pump it - Blackeyed Peas
Mickey - Toni Basil
Pulling Muscles from a Shell - Squeeze
Hey Ya - Outkast

Sedated - Ramones
Funkytown - Lipps Inc.
Another One Bites the Dust - Queen
SOS - Rhianna
In the car, I typically listen to Country or Christian Contemporary music. But, the people close to me would be very surprised by whats on my MP3 playlist. I like music with a very stong bass beat. My playlist includes everything from Nelly and 50cent to Justin Timberlake and the Black Eyed Peas. If it has an aggressive beat, I want it on my list. My daughters aren't allowed to borrow my MP3....I'm never quite sure what to tell them when they ask!

I LOVE that about you, Rhonda! You made my day.
Let's see, I like to put on stuff that makes me feel strong and then walk like I own the sidewalk:
Suddenly I See - KT Tunstall
Extraordinary - Liz Phair
No Sleep Tonight - The Faders
Super Duper Love - Joss Stone
Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
Sly - The Cat Empire
Flathead - The Fratellis
I Hear the Bells - Mike Doughty
Here it Goes Again - OK Go
When You Were Young - The Killers
Given that I have 1456 songs on my iPod, the list obviously changes based on my mood, but these are ones that I love to walk to now.
I used to love working out to my Jock Jams CD... But my brother got a hold of it a while ago, and I haven't ever gotten it back... I've never been able to find it at the stores either...
So now I just put my ipod on shuffle, and go... My favorites are:
"Candyman", "Fighter", "Can't hold us down", & "Stripped" ~ Christina aguilera
"Get it on (bang a gong)" ~ Can't remember who does this one.
The whole Jarhead soundtrack is awesome.
"You aint seen nothing yet" ~ ???
"Mysterious Ways" & "The sweetest thing" ~ U2
