Default swimming and calories burned?

Does anyone know roughly how many calories are burned from leisurely swimming in a pool for 3 hours. I looked online at fitday but it seemed awfully high. It said almost a 1000 calories burned. And I wanted to do an exercise tape tonight that someone gave me today but I don't wanna do that if it will mess up my calorie deficient. Because I was at my mom's I was not able to eat good things so I really didn't eat anything except 24 boiled shrimp. So does anyone know roughly how many I burned?

1000 calories? Wow, wouldn't that be nice

I have found that fitday and thedailyplate are awfully generous in the amount of calories they say are burned. You may want to google actual fitness exercise sites to see if you can find something.

I am right now doing that but all them shot the number into 1000-1200 range.

1000 calories might be right if you were swimming consistently the whole 3 hours...but if it was me I might be hanging on the side of the pool for part of it, or out getting a drink or going to the bathroom....

I would venture a guess if you still have energy to do a tape at night after being in the pool all day, go for it!
