I have been doing PH1.5 for a week now I did PH1 for 2 weeks but I have really slow weight loss so I am really really slowly adding the good carbs back so I am calling it PH1.5 My question is how long is it ok to do this? My MIL thinks that I am going into Ketosis if I continue. I have added strawberries, and brown rice, couscous. Ya know but not everyday and a small amount when I do. Should I be worried???
Stop worrying! You will not go into ketosis unless you have very low carbs - 20 or less! This is impossible on SBD as you should be eating dairy and legumes plus lots of veggies even on Phase I.
I am sure you are fine on your "moving into Phase II" plan. If you (and MIL) are worried, run your foods through www.fitday.com.
Just make sure you are eating dairy, legumes, beans, bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, etc. so that you're getting lots of the good carbs that aren't likely to cause cravings. This will keep you out of ketosis.
