Default Subscription Notification Frustration

For days I had not been getting any notification for subscribed threads or PMs. All of a sudden this morning, I got notification on SOME of my threads but it was random and there would be multiple notifications to the same thread. That only happened overnight. All day I have not gotten one single notification.

This is TOTALLY frustrating me. I can't stand having to check through all my subscriptions to see if someone has posted something after me.

I have notified 2 moderators and only heard back from one that knew of one other user that was having the problem. But nothing has been done about it.

I am starting to use 3FC less each day because of this problem. I may just not use it at all if the problem is not fixed which is not something I really want to do as I really enjoy it here.

I don't have an unlimited amount of time to sit here and continue to have to scroll through all the threads I am interested in.

Anybody have any idea what is going on? I have asked a few users and it doesn't seem that anyone is bothered by this or even uses the feature.

The problem is being looked at, but unfortunately it isn't an instant fix. We'll let you know when we know what the problem is. I've subscribed using several email addresses and I'm receiving them, so the problem seems to be limited to a few email providers. Please bear with us while we work this out, the problem may be complicated.

Both users having this problem are using the same email provider.

In the meantime, you can view the threads you subscribed to in your UserCP, so it will be quicker to get to them than searching the forums. Hopefully that will help in the meantime.

I am having the same problem. I'm not receiving any notifications for none of my subscribed threads.

I checked your account and you are using a different email provider than the other two When is the last time you received notice? Have you checked your spam folder? Your provider frequently sends our email to the spam or junk mail folder. If you get a chance, could you check and see if it's there?

I do check my subscription list for new posts HOWEVER, I still need to scroll back to my last post to read what has been posted AFTER me. It is time consuming and a pain.

I am going to change my email to another account and see if that fixes the problem for me. I will let you know if it helps, although I don't want to always use my other email account for this.

Yeah, not in my spam folder. Today when I checked my email at four this morning there were notifications but those were sent last night. But I haven't received any today unfortunately. Not sure if this is relevant, but half the time my subscriptions do not even show up in my profile, or it will say I only have one subscription...then other times they will all be there.

My notifications are working, sporadically this morning.
