Rewarding yourself
 

So how do you guys reward yourself for progress or having a good week both eatting and exercise wise?

Me? I'll go get a new goodie at the MAC counter, or spend a night doing my hair, (which is an ordeal with having to bleach, then colour, then put extensions in!), or hit the thrift store on the way home from work.

Today I completed my 21-day straight exercise challenge and awarded myself by wearing a super cute straight skirt that I hadn't been able to wear in a long time.

I reward myself by picking up a new book from the discount book store, treating myself to 2 decadent chocolate truffles,a new nail polish or lipstick or a big bouquet of flowers :D

I wish I didn't always reward myself, regardless of whether I lose weight or not. :rolleyes:

I think I'll have to reward myself the way Tiki did... by wearing something that didn't formerly fit me. :yes:

Well, I just rewarded myself in a big way for keeping 15lbs off for over a year and working hard at my bellydance classes.

I have been saving up my $ and I finally bought an Italian charm bracelet and some charms :D

I rewarded myself for losing my first 10 pounds by buying a pair of white cloth sneakers, and a can of gold spray paint. And then wearing the result of a marriage of the two to work.

You'd be surprised the reaction that a simple pair of golden tennis shoes can elicit.

Tealeaf - I can imagine that some people must have thought you landed here from another planet! :lol: fun idea to jazz up your shoes!

I rewarded myself for my continuing work on the track with a new pair of running shoes. However, I found out this morning these shoes are slipping on my heels, so I have to exchange them for a better fitting pair.

I actually get that "You're from another planet" look alot, Mauvaisroux. But yes, more so when I wear my golden shoes.

My favorite moments while wearing them are when I cross paths with someone who is looking at the ground, with a frown on their face. My shoes come into their field of vision. The stop, stare for a second, then look at me with a look of slight disbelief. I, of course, give them a big smile. Almost invaribly, they smile back.

Golden shoes make everything better.

i reward myself with new body art (much to my mother's dismay) in celebration of a newly flat tummy i got a tattoo of a sparrow on it. if all else fails it will at least keep me motivated to keep my tummy flat!

I have a pair of metallic purple New Rock boots I wear to work a lot. People at work are used to that kind of thing from me, I come in with my haior all manner of colours and ocassionally completely goth out if I have plans right after work.

Okay, I got my nerve up. This weekend I am going to get a belly ring!!!!

Last Friday I finally got the salon pedicure that I have been promising myself for ages! No one but me knows that inside my knee length boots are flaming orange metallic toe nails :lol:

It's this weekend coming up. Flaming orange??? I thought i was the only person that loved orange toe nail polish! I must have about 5 different shades.
