Okay. Has anyone seen Napoleon Dynamite? I don't know why because I usually love movies a little more ripe with plot, but I loved this movie. And it was even better the second time b/c you knew what was coming. Please someone, admit to having seen it and fallen in love with it, too.

I totally agree Karen, that kid is so funny!!! I had to watch it twice. He went on Letterman & gave the top ten for how you know you're not the cool kid in school, and one was if you had lord of the ring action figures, and he was like what, they're cool. The #1 one was "how should i know, I'm like the coolest kid is school, gawwwsh." & runs offstage, I cried laughing! I've got it onfile on my computer, I could prob email it to you.

Watched Dante's Peak yesterday. I can't STAND Pierce Brosnan (or whatever his name is), but I like disaster movies. And I wish I had Linda Hamilton's body. And lips.

Oh man...we are Napoleon Dynamite fans here as well! I about cried I laughed so hard on a few parts-like every time he went out to feed grandma's pet I just lost it. Just the mannerisms and attitude of it all.

Now see...I don't like bloody films that are "action" ones-like war movies, Predator, Rambo or stuff like that-but give me a bloody film that has a sci-fi/fantasy or some sick serial killer or creepy type of plot-and I am there. I absolutely LOVED Seven.

So far the only scary/bloody movie that creeped me out so much that I physically cannot watch it is the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Leatherface to me was the LEAST scary person in that movie...Sherrif Hoyt and the two women in the trailer did it for me.

We love Napoleon Dynamite also! We went, and took our 11 year old, and I figured he was hating it all the way through because he didn't say anything. He LOVED it. He was quiet because he was so into it. Usually he's whispering to us and fidgeting. We bought him the DVD for Christmas, and he's getting a shirt next week for his birthday. They have a couple of cute shirts at Hot Topic, if you're interested.

I stayed up until 2:30 a.m to watch White Oleander on t.v. last night. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not but was pleasantly surprised. The girl who played the daughter was very good and Michelle Peiffer was very creepy as the mom.

Two thumbs up in this one for me

We watched Battle Royale: Special Edition. I don't know what the **** happened, but it sucked. We loved this movie the first time around. I think they changed the sub titles or something, whatever they did it was a major suck, and in this case we will stick to th original. Very disappointing.

Mauv - we loved white oleander. and along the same creepy lines was the virgin suicides, which I would recommend too.

To add to my disappointing movie weekend would be "Unconditional Love" with Kathy Bates, who I do like. This movie I didn't even finish. It was pure and total crap. Definately not a recommendation.

Big movie weekend for me.

The Village - which wasn't was good as The Sixth Sense, but not bad.

I, Robot - Good action movie, which I am normally not into. But I do adore Will Smith.

I am an hour and a half into Ray, and it is just increadible!

I also picked up Before Sunset. This one I loved the first time I saw it.

Heh. Speaking of old movies that get to you.. I watched all of Dirty Dancing for the first time ever. I'd seen parts of it and probably all of it, but not at the same time. it's good, and i still love the music. what can i say, i'm a child of the '80's
