My commitment to myself:
1) Regular exercise 2) Getting up earlier in the morning so I can exercise and leave for work on time 3) Drinking my water 4) Keeping my food journal on a daily basis 5) Taking time out for myself I want to have lost my last bit of weight and be in better physical shape by June 1st! :D |
Happy Friday ladies!
Big challenge ahead, staying OP all weekend. I am determined to do it. Going to keep myself super busy and stay focused. Saturday I am taking my daughter and her friend for a manicure/pedicure and then downtown shopping. Sunday I am finally going to clean my fridge (I have not done it since moving in, that was July). Maux - I like your plan. Ellis, you too are wonderful. I have always been inspired by the ladies here. Welcome everyone! At work now but will catch up later. Dale |

Sorry did not post last night, worked late and then spent time with my daughter and nephews. Today was jammed packed with girly stuff. We went and my daughter and her friend had their manicures and pedicures, then downtown to the Eaton Centre and spent a few hours there. It was great fun watching them shop. My daughter got these really cool hair clips with bright blue hair on them they looked so adorable. Her friend got bright red. They bought cute matching purses and a bunch of other little things. We all got flower rings in a different color. It all reminded me of being that age and going to the mall with my friends. They thanked me at the end and said I was a cool mom and these days thats a feat I think! I had a blast hanging with them. I am definately going to make this a once a month thing for me and my daughter. Just go out and hang at the mall and be girls. Handling the weekend good so far, not completely OP but not going nuts like I usually do. for the rest of the evening I am going to relax an watch a movie. take care. -dale |

7 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!! holy moly! Great job Ellis! GO Ellis GO! Who cares how many times you have lost those pounds, you just proved you could do it again. I am thrilled for you. Great motivation for us all. It's almost Sunday afternoon and I have yet to get started on the fridge. Dreading it but I WILL do it today, along with all of the other cleaning I need to get done today. Got to plan my meals for the week as well. Hope everyone else is having a great weekend. I LOVE that you haven't cleaned your fridge since last July. :lol3: A woman after my heart. :rofl: I have a neighbour who physically moves the fridge and stove away from the wall once a week to clean behind them. :rolleyes: Get a life!! :lol: |
Move the fridge? what kinda nut is that? and how much time does she have on her hands? Ellis, here's a secret, (i didn't do it today) I tried to get off my couch and do it, I really did, but I felt horrible all day and just could not get the energy up. So I laid around trying to get a nap. I was in between sleepy and almost moving. Managed to cook dinner after my sister convinced me to walk to the grocery store with her (walk actually woke me up a bit) watched Extreme makeover home addition and cried for two hours (I love that show) and now I am pooped again. Dishes are almost done and the fridge is still disgusting but oh well. I am planning a surprise party for hubby on Friday and it is proving to be harder then I thought. The guy practially sleeps with his cellphone, how the heck am I suppose to get his friends numbers if i can't get to it?
Well another weekend gone and a new week ahead. Let's hope that spring is going to say a little hello this week and brighten up everyone. Bathing suits are just around the corner and I don't want to be just AROUND the bathing suit. Maux how are you doing? Lets catch up on Monday all! Take care Dale |

Congratulations ellis :bravo: I got up this morning and drank water with lemon before doing anything else. I then did weights for 20 minutes, took a shower and dressed. I made healthy lunches for DH and I and an extra one for my dinner tonight as I have my WW meeting and do not want to eat mall food for dinner. I did take some time out for myself on the weekend so my plan is coming along quite nicely :) I just have to make sure I journal today! |
Trixi and Mauvais, I'm sure it's a combination of salt/exercise. :yes: Don't get discouraged, girls... those scales can really screw up our minds! :grouphug:
I had a bad eating day yesterday, but I've put it behind me, and I'm moving on. :hat: |
Well, so far so good with the boot camp :) I have been OP for 3 days now, have taking my vitamins for 3 days now and have done my weights and walking 3 days in a row. :cb:

I have been down with a bad cold and still feeling pretty crappy. Not staying OP because of lack of exercise. Can't seem to kick it. Hope to be back on track in the next couple of days. Today is hubby's birthday and we are doing a family dinner at his favorite restaurant. Good thing I have not felt like eating lately or tonight would be a true test.

I have done very well so far. I have exercised every day except Sunday (my rest day ;) ) and have managed to take all 3 of my vitamins everyday too! a huge deal for me! :cp: Meals have been going pretty good except for Saturday's girls night out but I only had 2 drinks and went out dancing and managed to lose 1/2lb - which is better than nothing :) |
Well I totally fell of the wagon and got ran over by for the past weeks. And but no ones fault but my own, I gained back 4 of the 5 lbs I've lost. So here I am, back at it again. Sometimes I ask myself....is this really worth it? Or...Why on earth Kelly can't you get this going....you were able to quit smoking....and that wasn't no small task...so why can't you stay in the game and get in shape?
I wish I knew. Sometimes I think it's because I love food to much. Or, I like my wine and I enjoy going out and drinking a bottle of wine with dh or friends....laughing, having a good time. And then I wonder...will I be any fun to hang around with no wine involved? Will I be too serious when everyone else is loosened up? I guess only time will tell. And I hope that I won't be dissapointed. Sorry....in no means am I trying to gain pity from anyone or want anyone to feel sorry for me. Just wanting some answers to my questions that I know that I am the only one who can answer them. Also wondering if anyone else feels the same way. Nice to know that you aren't alone. |
