I'm sure a psychiatrist would have something to say about your former need to wear boots all the time.
I used to buy cheap shoes, but my feet won't put up with it anymore. And besides, in the long run, the "expensive" shoes are a better bargain. They last a LOT longer, and are much more comfortable. (Okay, I draw the line at Tender Tootsies, although I'm sure they have more fashionable choices since last I looked.
