How was Underworld?

Just watched The Fighting Temptations (Cuba Gooding Jr., Beyonce, The O'Jays (there's a name from the past!)) It was FABULOUS!!! Way, way better than I expected.

If anyone remembers Montel Jordan, you won't believe him in this movie! Total riot!

Have Le Divorce to watch tomorrow. (not my own...not yet anyway. )

This weekend was a pretty good one for movies. Secondhand Lions was good (of course, like pretty much anything with Robert Duvall--such a good actor). Freaky Friday was really cute, and The Emperor's Club was interesting (as a teacher, it angered me, but with all that most of you know I'm going through why wouldn't I be angry about teaching). But the highlight of my weekend was my girl's afternoon on Sunday. I had bought Under the Tuscan Sun...hadn't seen it but was pretty sure that I would like it. My friend made me promise not to watch it without her...so we got together and watched it and Bend It Like Beckham. Both were very good girl-empowering movies.

We went to see Cold Mountain today, and I loved it!!! I wasn't sure what to expect, I just wanted to see it for Jude Law But it was an incredible movie, and I was very impressed. It left me with a haunting feeling, and I must see it again. I really hope Law wins the best actor award for this. I was rooting for Depp, but you can't compare the two. Depp did do a great job with Jack Sparrow. However, the Inman character had so much more depth, and must have been more difficult. Law pulled it off flawlessly, you could feel every moment of pain, love, dispair, fear, every emotion that Inman felt. I'm amazed that the film wasn't nominated for Best Picture.

We rented Cabin Fever on the weekend - good horror movie but really gross - not for the faint of heart

We also watched Johnny English - very funny in a slapstick/stupid kind of way- Rowan Atkinson is a nut!

this was my weekend for rewatching oldies. Strange Days. ( angela Basset kicks ***) and Wild Things .

Yeah, think I'll get some oldies for this weekend...have to get vhs though, my dvd is acting weird.
