Welcome Teufelchen and Shoequeen!

Congratulations on your losses (er, releases) sflake, silverdove, and anyone that I've missed (I'm sorry if I missed anyone, there are so many of us I have a hard time keeping track of everyone)!! :cp: :cp:

Well ladies, I am proud to say that I have ventured into the land of the 170's!!! :cb: This morning I weighed 179.5! :cb: That's a loss of 1.5 pounds in the past two weeks (didn't weigh last week because of TOM), even with pigging out on peanut M&Ms and pistachios and......well, you get the picture (darn TOM). I can't tell you how long it's been since I've seen the 170's (I can't tell you because I can't remember!)!! What a great way to start a Monday!! :D

Hi everyone

Twodogmom - congrats on the 170s!!!!!:bravo:
I`m on my way there and I know how happy and proud you must be.

Congrats to everyone else too!

I had a wedding this weekend and the gift-opening brunch and yet when I stepped on my scale this morning it was my friend. :dancer: I go to WW tonight so that will be the true test.

Welcome Shoequeen (from another lover of shoes) - I too am a newbie. And it`s never too late to jump on the Halloween Challenge band wagon.

I`ll let you all know how I did tomorrow.

Morning ladies. I got a downer this morning when I saw a photo from our company picnic. Yuck. Even more reason I need to step up to the challenge. Thanks mauvaisroux, love your screen name too as I am also a marvolous redhead (bottle dyed but full red in my heart) ;) I'm going to be positive this week darnit!!! I did take my measurements and I've lost 1" off my hips, stomach, ankles and bust. :D So thats good! Thanks!

Aquareggie 10-06-2003 12:55 PM

Good morning!

2dog, woo-hoo! Welcome to the 170s! I hope to go to 160-ville in a few weeks, but 170s sure does look nice on the scale, huh? :)

I'm going for another vegan week, people. The other day I was tempted to start counting calories. I'm still in a why can't I be thin now rut. Some of my friends have turned really skinny in the past year or two. I'm jealous of them... sounds so immature to admit. ON THE OTHER HAND, I think some of them have developed eating disorders. :( I went out to dinner with a friend the other night, and half of our conversation consisted of her talking about her diet, her weight, other people's diets, and other people's weights. PLUS she spent most of the dinner watching what I ate. It annoyed me. So yeah, I'm jealous cuz she's skinny, but I don't want to turn out like her. So, eh, it will take me a year and a half to lose the weight... but when I'm done, I won't have to worry about food controlling my life.

After this post, I'm going to count the weeks that I estimate it will take me to reach goal. I'll even include some cheat weeks. Maybe that will keep me motivated and keep me real.

Everyone have a good day,
AR

:bravo: twodog! Keep going- you can do it :cp:

Teufelchen 10-07-2003 10:26 AM

Hi All

Well, according to the WW scale I stayed the same. Staying the same is good. The only way I don`t want to go anymore is up. I`ve lost 16 lbs so far and I hope to reach my 10% target by Halloween. That`s only 4 more pounds. I am going to really try to stick to the program this week, but, of course, I have yet another wedding to attend. :dizzy:

Aquareggie - don`t waste your energy being jealous. Concentrate on you. It took all of us a long time to get to where we our weight-wise and it will take us a while to lose it too. That`s just life. Be happy for your newly skinny friends and use them as your inspiration.

Gotta go. Have a great day everyone.

mauvaisroux 10-07-2003 09:06 PM

Way to go LadyOnfire! :cp:

Teufelchen - Hey maintaining after a big party like that is a feat in itself :D

soozie 10-08-2003 08:23 AM

Hey girls....sorry that I've been away so long...
177 and holding...I haven't lost anymore but I had gained
almost 4 pounds while I was away and took that back off!
thankfully!
I've been doing lots of yoga...loving it...and trying to do
some exercise everyday...either yoga or the gym.

My body feels so nice and toned, even tho I'm still a chunka-bunka.
But, I'm feeling so much more healthy. That's a great feeling.

I really wanted to feel physically ready for my surgery and I do.
It is scheduled for October 15th, a week from today.
I'm sure that I'll be checking in because I'll be off from work
from the 15th until the 27th. So, I'll have more time for the
important things, like 3fc.

So, my goals
for this week is to lose another pound,
to keep exercising daily,
to call my acupuncture doctor and make appts.
to get some treatments after my surgery,
to continue to exercise as I can after surgery,
and to check in with you girls for support so
I don't sit around eating after my surgery!

love, Soozie
