Gained 9.5 pounds.... in less than a month, was at 162 on May 2 now I am at 171.5. Well it is true you can gain 10 pounds in a month with out trying hard.
I am the same, but of course. I am doing a little experiment today - a day without me eating bread, rolls, granola bars, Vector bars, crackers & all their little highly-processed carb friends. So far have had Fiber One for breakfast and 2 string cheese & an apple for lunch. (And of course, no chocolate!) It is very difficult!
Still, if this is the key to kick my weight loss back into gear, I'll do it!
My sweet sister bought me a bag full of Burt's Bees stuff tonight. It's for mid-aged women. I should be a whole new me by next week. Possibly a babe. A fat babe.

Congrats Mauv~~~!!! That's way ahead of me! And here I thought I could go up against you on a challenge. Actually, last week I had reported a 4 pound gain. Well I lost 3 of those this week and it's not Friday yet!! I can't wait till after the surgery Friday. I am so hoping this makes things better for me. So if I disappear for a few days (kinda like I did this week ...thats why!)

Hi girls I don't know when your challenge started, but I would like to jump in . I would like to lose 19 lbs by July 29th, 2003. At that time last year I was at my all time hig of 270 lbs, I have lost 52 lbs and would like to be at 199 by that time this year. I know that is a lot but I think I can do it. Prayers, good vibes and kick in the *** encouragement will be greatly appreciated.
On June 15th, it will be my 3 month anniversary of not drinking so I could still use your prayers for that too. I have two parties to attend this weekend where I know there will be a lot of drinking. I think I will be okay, but sure could use your happy thoughts. I really do love you girls and all the genuine encouragement we give one another. Thanks! Luv y'all!

For those parties I suggest that you plan ahead....think about you want to do or not do when you are there. If it is potluck food bring something you know will be ok for your eating plan.
When I go out to clubs I usually drink club soda mixed with lime cordial syrup - gives the soda a nice flavor and is refreshing and low-cal. You can find it at most grocery stores in the snack food/pop aisle near the flavored soda waters/non-alcoholic beer.
I buy the brand called Rose's Lime Cordial.
