So, I was kind of sad to see the other tattoo thread closed, so I figured I would start a new one!
This is my only (for now) tattoo.
It represents Jason Mraz's song "I'm Your's" - which was my first dance song at my wedding. The notes on the staff are the actual "I'm Yo-o-ours" Part.
I starts on the top of my foot and wraps around my ankle.

I love it. I'm going to get more songs that mean certain things to me added on top of it spiraling up my leg.

This is my fairy, she represents my 6 year old daughter London (there will be another to represent my 5 year old daughter when I can sort out what would be most like her). If fairies were real, London would be one. She's sweet, gentle, kind, compassionate and helpful wherever she can be. I had this one planned for a while, and when I was smoke free for 30 days, I got her done as a reward.

I have several other tattoos, but will have to wait until my husband is home to take pictures of them. I just had pictures of this one on my facebook because I was showing it off after it was done in October.

I also have a treble clef behind my right ear, no pics of it though. in the pic of my back you can see some of the Teddy bear on my shoulder (it's from a book my grandpa wrote).

Well I'm not able to post pictures or links yet, but I have seven tattoos. Last one was on my right foot its of a peacock feather. I also have a penguin on my forearm, cowboy hat and boots on my back, and few others smaller ones.

I have three. The most recent is from more than a year ago, and is a hummingbird on my lower back, the right side. I have an Om on my left thigh circled in a lotus and a tiny heart on the inside of my left ankle.

Oh it did work! They are on my calves. One says "bitter times" and the other says "better times". I got them after I had battled with depression. This one is on my thigh, it was designed and tattooed by my friend who is completely amazing

I LOVE all the ink posted! My gift to myself after I lose all the weight (other than healthiness) is going to be tattoos. I have always wanted, but don't have the courage to get them yet - not because the pain, but because of my body. I want cherry blossoms all along my shoulder and down my back ;)
So here's to losing more weight! ;)

^the same... want tattoos (have many planned) but I want the body to show them off first.... as the places where I want to get them, aren't too fat friendly!

Haha, true! if I have Branches on my arm, I dont want them to look like they are swaying in the wind when I walk ;)

I have a rocker (tattoo across the upper chest) that says "Love Honour Respect" in large script and a black widow spider with a heart for the red spot on the spider's torso on my foot.

I got this for my birthday last year to mark my turning 25. :) It's my first and only tattoo and it's not filled in. I have not decided to fill it in yet cause i like it so much the way it is now.

I don't think I can post pics yet, but mine are some weaving plants and flowers wrapped around some mythic creatures, in a gauntlet wrist to elbow. I'm getting a matching one on the other arm too, can't wait.

The one I really want though is a full back piece of a dragon clutching a banner that would descend down my butt and thigh. But... I'm definitely not doing that until the flab is gone. Mr menace dragon would be not so menacing peeking out from back fat. :P

OK this is my first and I'm copying this post from the maintainers forum because I'm pretty freaking excited about it :D

OK, so I waited a bit past 3 years. BUT this (which is from the musical Wicked) really represents my philosophy about weight loss and maintenance. Despite being 295 lbs, having PCOS, and my body periodically breaking, I have kept this weight off. Despite being the girl who had to struggle to walk the required mile in high school, I run 5Ks now in just about 30 minutes. And this year, I will do a pull-up.

The tattoo is on my right upper rib cage area - on my side, essentially where the band of a bra would go. It's not going to be visible to almost anyone unless I'm naked, which is OK, because it's really just a reminder for me.

Love the ink mandalinn! Love that production and most particularly, that song. Good spot for it too! If I was going to ink myself with that one, it woul be on the bra line...to remind the girls that they're gonna need to work with me on that one.

LOL. Someone else made that comment. I never even thought about that...mine are so small, I'm not sure they're even SUBJECT to gravity, much less need to defy it.

Lucky you! Mine are defying my desire for them to defy gravity!

I have about 10 total, but this is the one I'm currently working on. All of the black and grey is an old terrible tattoo that I'm having fixed :)

Ohhh, I love tattoos! I only have two so far, but at least five more planned! Hoping to get another in May.

The first picture shows both of them -- I have a star on my left ankle -- and the second is my newest, almost a year old, which is a sketch by my favourite artist Vincent van Gogh.

This ankle tattoo was inked by a friend after I had a really bad week and just spontaneously jumped on a plane and flew to another city. Its an anchor to remind me to stay grounded and deal with my problems.

I also have a little blue diamond behind my ear, and a half-backpiece of two swallows flying in around a sacred heart.
Eventually I will get a babushka doll on the inside of my other arm, and I'm considering my weight-loss reward being extending my haklf-sleeve into a full sleeve with a big portrait of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

My first tat in memory of my mom who was a music major and taught me that life is music. I regret letting a friend do it though because it came out crappy and the ink bled so when there's money I'm going to have it gone over and add some music to it :)

The second is my own design and has a lot of meaning to me, its on my upper back. It was drawn while my mom and I celebrated her bday and the chinese character is part of my actual chinese name. It's also another one done by my friends during a difficult time in my life. It's filled in now but needs gone over professionally

Here's my tattoo! I spent a year designing it, it went through many make overs but I'm happy with how it turned out! It's on my lower back and I know the picture doesn't convey scale very well but it's a decent size. About 7 inches across I'd say!
