Weekly weigh starting Sept. 16
 
Well the last challenge was a bust for me. I guess I didn't take it that seriously so it is time to get my rear in gear.

I want to lose 10lbs by October 31st. :devil: just in time to pig out on Hallowe'en candy:T (:doh: did I just say the quiet part loud?)

I am making a promise to myself to start exercising on a regular basis again too.

Weight as of September 16: 157 lbs
Goal weight by October 31 : 147 lbs

Just got back from the doctor, and my weight there was 209!!! I am THRILLED, since as you all know I have NOT been OP for quite a while. That means that at least i haven't gained!!!! Mauvais, I will take you up on that challenge!! I will say 5 pounds by Halloween. Wimpy, yes, but I need to set an easy goal to start out with since I have been having such a rough time.

Monday Weigh-In
 
Well, I was hoping the scale would show even more pounds lost, but I am happy to report that I am down two pounds since last week and met my initial goal of losing three pounds in two weeks!

198/194/130

My next goal is to lose four pounds by the end of the month, which will put me down to 190. :)

I enjoy (sadist that I am) having to be accountable to someone every week - someone that says "so what do you weigh this week????".

I'm down 2 pounds this week - putting me into a new decade of numbers, FINALLY!!!!!! And 1/2 pound from an official 30 pounds lost (never to be re-found!)

It does feel so good to get past those five and ten pound marks... e.g. 199 from 200 or 184 from 185. Way to go!

Hi Girls,

I weighed 187lbs today. That means that I lost a total of two big pounds for the challenge...just a tad shy of my goal of losing 15 pounds, thank you!

I'm going to shoot for an eight pound loss by October 31st. That will bring me to 179 and out of the eighties.
If we all go with October 31st that gives us about six and one half weeks until our next mini-goal. Then again, alternachicks are so independent we never all do the same thing.

I have been doing well with food for the past three days but haven't gone to the gym...I did call the owner and discussed which trainer I'd be working with when I come back...think I have a 10:00am appt. with a trainer tomorrow...have to go call and check it out.

Good for you. I'm going tonight. And again in the AM.

My challenge is to exercise, in one way or another, EVERY DAY. Gotta do it. I will do it!

Today's weight is 260. There you have it. Hoo boy. Ya SEE why I need to go to the gym every day?

The other night at work, the nurses were discussing a very demanding patient. She is so large, it takes 4 people to roll her over to put her on a bed pan. I prayed right there for the strength to defeat this weight thing.

I think I am up a pound to 157, but that's ok. I can deal with that.

My new mini goal is to be at or below 150 by the end of October. If I could only get up off my *** to exercise.

Great timing!!! I've been having one of those "it's time to get serious again" talks with myself over the last few days, and today was my Day One.

Starting weight, today - 175lbs. Short-term goal for Hallowe'en/Samhaine/my fourth anniversary...all of which are on October 31st...I'm going to aim high and join Mauvais on 10lbs! That will put me at 165. Do you know how long it's been since I was 165??? If you do, tell me. I can't remember....I passed it somewhere along the way when I gained those 40 lbs or so in 1994.

Let's kick some butt, girls!:hyper:

I think it is one of the hardest things in the world to try and lose weight and keep it off. I have lost 18 since July29th, this week was only 1/4 lb, that is heartbreaking, but I AM NOT SURPRISED. I did not walk like I had been doing, not drinking the water I was, and certainly over eating, so I am lucky I did not gain instead of lose, but I will not give up. I am more determined now than I have ever been to get down to a reasonable weight for my body. I would love to get down to about 130, but I think 140 or 145, would be okay. I am currently at 252 lbs, so I have a long weigh to go yet.

I know its only Thursday but I MUST report that I am down another pound today, which puts me at my first FIVE POUND LOSS!! Whoo hoo!! I know its not much, but trust me, I have been trying to lose five pounds forever so this is great.

Well , It was better than I really expected. I thought for sure I had gained this week, but i actually lost 1/4 lb again. I am not losing very quickly, but I am losing, so I guess I should not beat myself up about this. I went to the gym with my friend tonight. It felt great!! I am going to join tomorrow I think, or I may just go on pass once more to see, but I really like it. It feels fantastic.

Aaaarrrrrggggghhhh! 209 this morning! I can blame some of it on the darned IV during the operation but some of it must be due to Hershey candy munchies. 199 by Halloween! That's 4 pounds of water weight and 6 pounds of flab!

Well, I am holding strong at 193 but I just got my period yesterday :cry: (no good news this month). So I am expecting that number to go down in a few days... as I usually bloat up at least two pounds during my period. However... go check out my lost inches in the evil tape measurement thread! Whoo hoo!!

187.5 up a half...bummer...must be pure muscle mass from the gym...uh, yeah, yeah, that's right, it's uh muscle, yeah, in fact I'm all muscle, yeah, I knew that, I'm a very muscular babe and that's why at 5'1" I'm 187.5 because most of that is in my biceps...so, uh, don't mess with me...yeah, um...I'm so full of :censored:

Time to get busy...

Well - lost the water weight and went to 204.5 but ran out of my diuretic pills (for CTS) and did not renew sooooo back to 207 this morning. I am hoping for a better week.

I had lost a pound this week (down to 192) but I had a BAD weekend. We had guests over for whom we cook huge meals (and vice versa). I didn't do too bad but I am back up to 193 this morning. :( Hopefully it is mostly water weight as I also ate a ton of salty popcorn last night... (it couldn't have been the the two slices of my homemade key lime pie or the homemade guacamole and salsa with chips or the margaritas)! :o

Well, I vow to get back on track starting NOW!
