This is my Power Song. It's the best mash-up ever:
"Smells like bootylicious" by 2ManyDj's. I'm sure you can guess what two songs they uses. It gives me instant energy, haha. :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXGSBpMHcpA |
I won't list specific songs. Otherwise, I will be here all day.
TooL, Puscifer In This Moment Halestorm P!nk Lady Gaga Britney (only when working out. It's weird, but she gets me pumped.) Fergie, BEP (again, only when working out.) |
Have you guys heard of Cherri Bomb? They remind me of The Runaways, or like a female version of Foo Fighters. Their whole album "This is The End of Control" is great to workout to!

Has anyone listened to the new Fall Out Boy album yet? It has so many songs that have that anthemic feel to them, you feel like you're listening to your own bad *** movie soundtrack while working out to them.
A few other songs I love running to: Whipped Cream-Ludo The Tears-Robots In Disguise Men In Love-Gossip Dressed to Kill-Sharon Needles [edit]OH AND someone on Tumblr made this incredible mashup where they put Head Like a Whole over the tune of Call me Maybe. SO GOOD. |

I don't have a specific playlist, just stuff I like to hear.
For warmup, I like to listen to EDM. I'm really into Tiesto and Armin van Buren. When I'm into my cardio, I like Punjab bangra music. You cannot NOT smile while listening to Daler Mendhi! It's very danceable and happy. For lifting, I listen to my Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Cradle of Filth, Marylin Manson. I like something that still rocks, but on the mellower side, as I wind down. H.I.M., Sirenia, Tyr, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Zeppelin. Yes, I do love Scandinavian music. It's where all the best modern metal is coming from right now. |
Seriously been getting extra energy from Lady Gaga's "Applause". It's so powerful and makes me want to go longer and faster on the elliptical.

I've got a huuuge run playlist, but there are a few songs on there that when they come on, suddenly my legs aren't feeling tired at all anymore, and I get a fresh burst of energy
