  • Wormwooddoll - grats on getting to size 18! Being a lower size is one of the most exciting things of losing, in my opinion.

Girls (guys): I HIT GOAL WEIGHT THIS MORNING! I am so happy right now Thank you all for your support and kind words. Pics will be coming later (it might be a while though).
  • Congrats on your size drop wormwood! And huge congrats on reaching your goal elwing!!!! How does it feel?

I've been a bit down in the dumps this week and haven't really done any exercise so it's no surprise I've no losses to report. Back on track for next week!
  • Congratulations wormwooddoll and Ellwig!

I finally got out to do some shopping yesterday. Now I just have 3 people left to buy for, groceries to get and some wine for our party. I have no decorations up yet though. I may just go pick up some pine boughs and wreathes to jazz up the place instead of dragging out the tree and all the decorations.
  • Hi Everyone

Ollie - Married life is pretty normal. It's the unpacking that is taking such a long time. I'm so lazy. Edward Norton's Incredible Hulk was fantastic, as well. Solid film. Good luck with those papers! And, uh, with the green spandex.

Wormwood Doll - I love Christian Bale. But, you're right about his raspy voice. It was way overdone. But I've seen the movie a couple of times just for Heath . Oh, and Congratulations on Size 18 Officially!!!!

Elwing - Congrats on Goal Weight!!! How fantastic is that?! Keep at it!

    & to everyone

I've had quite the weekend! We had a crazy ice storm here. Branches & trees cracking & falling over all Thursday night/early Friday morning. Power out from Friday morning (downed lines) until Sunday afternoon. Outside was gorgeous, though. Ice covered trees... Perdy.

I had planned to go to my sister's Friday night anyways, so I just stayed over and the husband spent the night at his Mom's place where they played cards & sat by the fire. I made hella X-mas cookies at my sister's house along with my nephew. Didn't eat any I'm saving that all for Christmas Eve.

We spent Saturday night at my husband's father's place. Had a nice warm night. Had dinner with his dad on Sunday & caught up. Unfortunately, we found out that his father has Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer in layman's terms). So far he has surgery planned to remove the growth. And the outlook is good. Basal Cell isn't as deadly as melanoma. According to what we read last night it has a 90% cure rate. We'll just go forward from here. Sadly, my husband isn't at all good with dealing with things like this. Not that I blame him, it's just... some people are better at dealing with certain things than others, that's all. So, I'll step up when needed. The cancer is in his father's eye, strangely enough. Not sure if that means he'll have vision problems or anything.

Anyway, onto more positive things. Got my wedding pictures all printed out. Albums are done for the parents. And now we're printing out the pictures to send with our Thank You notes. (Shame on us not getting that done sooner. But I want it done by the end of December.)

I'm off to grab some yummy lunch. Later all!
  • Congrats, Elwing! Be sure to post pictures as soon as you can.

    You can do it, girl!

    Faerie
, let's see some of those beautiful pictures.

And thank all you ladies. It feels good going from a size 22 to a size 18.
  • Congrats wormwood and elwing!

I've done my hour of cardio (plus an extra 12 minutes) for the first time in months, and it wasn't the horrible embarrassment or burden it usually is. It was a high-intensity hour long sport workout on Fit TV and an episode of Shimmy, and besides the pain, it really wasn't as bad as it was before. Since I gained 11 lbs over the Thanksgiving break so fast, I'm hoping it'll go away just as fast with dedication and work.
  • Hi Everyone!

Gypsy - Way to go on the exercisin'

    Wormwood Doll -

    & to all

Woke up nice & late today, around 11 AM. The new dark curtains in my bedroom make it so easy to sleep...and sleep and sleep.

About to get a tasty breakfast into my belly. Also, best really start cleaning up the apartment, as I'm having my good friend from back in school over on Sunday and she has yet to see the place
  • Maybe I need dark curtains. I've been lacking in the sleep department. Not good for weight loss.
  • My apartment bedroom is naturally dark. My apartment faces another apartment, so the sun is usually blocked. Believe me, I have NO problem sleeping. I just have trouble falling asleep.
  • Yeah... falling asleep is a different story entirely. Even though my apartment windows face west, the light was always waking me up at the butt-crack of dawn. Dark blinds may not help get someone to sleep, but they can definitely help keep them asleep once they get to dreamland.
  • I FINALLY BEAT MY PLATEAU!! I weighed in this morning at 218.2! I weighed myself with two 5lb weights at my side (like I always do when I can't believe it). I even moved my scale to a different location because I thought I'd stay at 220ish forever.
  • Hi Everyone!
Wormwood Doll - Congratulations!!! Alright! Way to go on busting through that plateau!!!!

I went to the Woman Doctor (aye, it needs capitalizing ) this morning. New doctor (since I moved) and she was very sweet. Going to enjoy (as much as one can enjoy) going to her.

But it snowed, and the roads were terrible this morning. Slushy & icy and all that. People were also driving very slowly (for good reason), so I ended up arriving late. Eek. Oh well, no one said anything. >_>

I think I'm going to try making some yummy Zero Point vegetable soup tonight as part of dinner.

    to everyone!
  • Way to go Wormwooddoll!

    And congratulations Elwing!

    Going2Bhealthy - go girl!

Faerie - congrats and good luck with your unpacking!

Nothing new in my corner of the world.
  • I forgot to mention this, but...

    CONGRATS Elwing!
  • well, the papers are in and i am officially done with my first semester of grad school. can i take a moment to just say it sucks? it sucks.

but at least the snow is beautiful. speaking of which i'm heading south for the holidays and again, won't be around much til after the new year. instead i'll be around the family. looking forward to the needed break, and seeing everyone i have dearly missed since heading to new england, but eating's going to be weird as i'm vegan and they don't even know what that means and for the most part i will be relying on others for food. can we say living off raw fruits and veggies for a couple of weeks? should be good for me. wish me luck.

sorry i haven't had a chance to keep up with everyone. i've certainly missed hanging with y'all. c'est la vie. hope everyone is well.

    i'm off to bed. night!
