Hello, I am new here, I am currently 69 1/2 and would like to lose 40-50 pounds if possible. I am only 4'8''. I recently moved from IL to NC and am still working at my job which I was able to bring with me since I work from home ever since the pandemic. I'm not able to work out much because of the arthritis in one knee and the osteoarthritis in the other knee. So walking up until a fall I had last year December was what I used to do. Now I have noticed my jeans are tight and I have gained 10 pounds in 8 months. I do have 2 small dogs that keep me busy. Looking for Help in weight loss.

newbie to this forum

I joined 3FC in 2007 to lose the 25 lbs. I packed on after early menopause. I kept the weight off for 13 years and am still a member of a very small maintenance group.

Well guess what -when the pandemic happened the weight came back with an additional 2 lbs. just because. And then I made a huge life change - retired from a job I loved and moved to a place that I really do not like. :(

I'm hoping to join here to lose the weight again :goodscale:, I will still post in the maintenance group. The other there have become friends and they ARE maintaining so I'd like to keep in touch with them.

Hoping to get to know all of you. FYI I'm almost 69 years old.

First day of my diet went well. But it always does. I find by day 3 I'm usually getting in the mood to cheat. So I will eat 1500 cals days 1 and 2 and then bump up to 1700 day 3. It's not much of a bump but I find it did make a difference in the past.

And I can always adjust as I go. :goodscale:

I'm going to go to the gym today to book my last 2 training sessions. Called them yesterday but no reply. That's kinda how people do things here. I find it very frustrating but that's life here. Good thing this place IS really small and it's a 4 minute drive to the gym from my house.

Managed to stay on track with the diet yesterday throughout the dreaded "third day". :cp: Also got my training sessions at the gym scheduled and did one yesterday.

I have been working out at home with hand weights for years. Turns out I really wasn't pushing myself at all. Did that yesterday with an hour-long workout. The trainer will give me a second different workout tomorrow and will also show me the treadmill. I will begin working out by myself next week. I hope to book 2 training session in March and change up the workouts. :strong:

First weigh-in of 2026 and I haven't lost or gained. That's OK.https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/ima...goodscales.gif I'm adjusting to not having a big helping of sugar either with tea or in the evening. I'm going to do a drastic calorie cut this coming week since DH will be away. My life pattern will totally change for 7 days. :https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/ima...ages/dance.gif

Looks like I am. That's no good. No use in posting without any interaction.
