Hello
Hello
I was part of that Golden Girls thread, but little by little everyone has left. Kind of sad. I used to come here ~ came here pretty much daily since joining in 2000 and share stuff. I haven't posted in a while, but thought I would tonight. Kind of silly, but I had a NSV (non scale victory) tonight. I baked a cake at my granddaughter's request for tomorrow for Mother's day for her mom. One of those little Jiffy cakes. They are just the right size ~ a few pieces without much left overs. I didn't even lick the beaters or spatula. Yippee for me. She bought this cute mother's day card that had a doggie on it and it said something about taking time in life to stop and lick the icing. So to go with this she bought and wrapped a container of icing and asked me to bake the cake. Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all the mother's out there. ETA ~ Oops ~ I was just looking back at my post ~ it was Father's Day ~ we made the cake because it was my daughter's birthday. Every few years her birthday and Father's Day fall on the same day. So, I got mixed up. Wished a friend Happy Mother's day ~ she nicely told me it was Father's Day ~ I hadn't realized my mistake until then. LOL |
Another NSV ~ I helped my granddaughter frost the little cake I made last night for her mom's birthday. Didn't taste any of it or even have a piece of cake. That is huge for me.

Hello Glynne!
I used to post a lot in another 50+ thread a year or so ago. It died out too. Fantastic that you were able to resist the temptation of chocolate decadence! I recently started Atkins induction and have successfully stared down pizza, donuts, chocolate covered cherry cake, a giant platter sized cookie and a salted caramel macaroon. I work 2nd shift and these landmines were all brought by well meaning families and co-workers within the past week! Donuts, pizza, cookies, cakes and ice cream have always been a terrible weakness of mine! So I understand what a victory that was for you! Stay strong! |
Thank you for the encouragement LurchMomma. And awesome job with resisting your favorites.
I like your profile/avatar picture. Are the flowers in your yard? They are beautiful ~ so colorful. Are you a nurse? The way you described food being brought in by families and co-workers ~ reminded me of how it was at my work places. It was a struggle ~ all those yummy foods calling out to me. My weakness for those things being available like that and so hard to resist, I believe are part of how I ended up in the fix I'm in. |
Some days good (with the eating), some days not as good. My husband and I are doing that Eat to Live way of eating (Dr. Joel Fuhrman). We've been doing it for a couple years now. He does better than I do ~ that is always the way it has been with the eating (frustrating that he is almost perfect at it). I follow it more loosely. Even though I don't do it to the letter, I am eating way better than I did for a long time. And because of a recent little health scare, I have finally (hopefully) reined in my struggle with sweets. I have done really well with that ~ that is huge for me, as sweets have been my life long struggle.
|
Gayle, that is AWESOME that you could turn down the beaters and spatula. I also have a big weakness to sweets so I don't know that I could have done that.
I am new here and trying to get myself going. |
Hi rdjrneace ~ I replied to your other post. I will post more often than I have been if there are going to be some others here now. I'm glad that others are posting ~ I was missing sharing with others.
|
Hi!
I'd like to join in here to offer mutual support and sharing. I am 50 years old and I am doing LCHF. I have 2 adult children and a 6 year old grandson. I am definitely a sugar/carb addict and am working to make this a lifestyle change. |
Welcome Boopchick ~ glad to have you join us. Looking forward to getting to know you. What does LCHF stand for ~ I am not familiar with that one.
I see by your ticker thingy that you have lost 21.4 pounds ~ that is awesome ~ keep it up. |
Hello all,
I was feeling kind of tired early this evening. I was thinking to have something quick and easy for supper (not a healthy thing). I was fixing up my husband's stuff first. It is soup and salad night. His salad was looking good, so I decided I wanted one too. While I had the stuff out, it was just as easy to make one for me too. Yum. Glad I didn't do the other thing. Today, I worked on a sewing project, ran some errands. It wasn't as hot today as some of the days have been. A little about me. I will be 62 in August. Retired now (LVN). Will be married 41 years in December. I have 3 grown kids son 40, and two daughters (adopted from Korea) 36 and 35. Four grand kids ~ two that live down here 19 and 9. Two that live in SC 7 and 3. I have struggled with my weight all my adult life. I just keep trying though ~ because if I gave up (even though I have not been very successful so far) I'd be in worse shape than I already am. So, I just keep plugging away at it. Every time I do something right ~ is one less time I've done something wrong. Hope you all are having a nice evening. |
Hi Gayle,
LCHF=low carb high fat. Thanks for the welcome :) I had a good day hanging out with my 6 year old grandson today. We went to the spray park and playground for most of the afternoon. I heated up some leftover low carb shepherd's pie that I made yesterday. My weight has been hanging around 252 more or less all week. I'm hoping to hit the 240s before long! |
Good evening all,
I woke up with a stupid headache that hung on until late this afternoon. Because of the headache, my eating wasn't the best. I wrote this on another thread here ~ What are your biggest weight loss obstacles ~ What seems to be my stumbling block is when I have a headache. When I do, I don't have the patience to fix food. So, when I am hungry, I just want to grab something quick, which usually is something that is not the best choice. When the headache finally went away, I was able to work some more on a sewing project I wanted to get more done on. These headaches ~ sometimes I think it is something I ate (something with chocolate in it). But it is puzzling to me ~ because the thing I think might have caused it ~ other times I can eat it without problems. During the school year, we have our 9 year old granddaughter in the afternoons ~ she gets off the bus here and stays until her mom gets home from work. In the summer, she comes over at different times of day, depending on what time her mom has to work. She was growly and short of patience today. She told Grandpa that she had stayed up until 4:30 in the morning. She is usually sweet, but not today. Hope she goes to bed earlier tonight. Hope you all are doing well. |
Hi all, my real name is Debbie and I live in a rural small town community in Northern Kentucky (about 30 minutes south of Cincinnati). I will be 56 in about 2 1/2 weeks and have been overweight more in my life than I wasn't. I have 2 children (and therein lies my problem since I never really lost weight after having the 1st one). My daughter will be 37 (in a month) and has 3 children (Abby, Kendra & Trent - aka AKT); my son is 34 and has 5 children (Jonathan, Isabel, Sawyer, Reagan and Lincoln) plus my angel grandson David. I work full time and sit all down which is another problem.
I am doing just a low calorie meal plan (1200 calories) - no specific foods just watch what I eat and stay in my calorie level. I have lost 9 pounds since 6/15 so I am pretty happy with that. I go back to my weight loss doctor on 7/13 so I am hoping I can loose another 2-3 pounds before then (they would like for me to loose around 10 pounds a month). I started going back to the gym so I leave house at 4:45 AM exercise for 45 minutes and then go to work. It actually has been making me feel better and not as tired. Thanks for reading my book. |
Good evening,
Kind of pooped. I've been doing stuff all day ~ taking advantage of a headache free day. Things had gotten kind of messy ~ I had been working on sewing projects and had neglected other stuff. I got to a point where I could set aside the sewing, so took care of some of the mess that had built up. It always makes me feel good when I accomplish stuff. The major thing was taking care of the clutter that had built up on my kitchen table, and putting stuff away that I hadn't taken time to do before. Then a lot of the other stuff was just little puttery stuff, but stuff I wanted to/enjoyed doing. I ate pretty good today ~ keeping busy (and having no headache) helps. Debbie ~ I enjoyed your “book”. I have flown into the Cincinnati airport a couple times when I came up to visit my sister. Maybe I have passed through or near your town on the way to her place. She lives in Mt. Sterling. I have another friend who lives in Clay City. She actually is a friend I made here on 3 Fat Chicks way back when I started. We have been friends over the internet all these years and have actually gotten to meet three times now. The last time was this spring ~ she invited my sister and I to spend the afternoon with her. It was so much fun. Oh, a fun small world thing ~ my sister was talking to one of her co-workers and discovered that she was a cousin to my friend in Clay City. Do your grandchildren live nearby you? You are doing great with your meal plan so far ~ 9 pounds is great. And going to the gym ~ that is awesome. I always thought food would be the hardest part for me, but it is the exercise. I know I need to do it, but it seems there is always something else I want to do instead, and I put it off and before I know it, I've missed another day. I've gotta get better at that. Boopchick ~ I'm glad you had a fun day with your grandson. Hang in there about the weight ~ you'll get there. Hello LurchMomma ~ hope things are going well for you. Hope you all are doing well. |
Hello Ladies:
Gayle: Those are wild flowers I picked down in the holler when we were at the farm in Kentucky one summer. We live in Ohio, but we get to Kentucky when we can. They are pretty, aren't they? Somewhere, I have a picture of an Ohio wildflower boquet I gathered up here and put in a mason jar. It was pretty, but I still think Kentucky flowers are prettier. Yes, I am a nurse. LPN. And, I have gained 50 pounds since quitting smoking 10 years ago, and starting 2nd shift around 5 years ago. It's coming home and eating in the wee hours of the morning, then going to bed, and sleeping away the "good" part of the day, I think, that have been the biggest causes. Of course, I'm teetering on the edge of menopause, too. My husband gets cluster headaches all of the time, and he spends many miserable hours enduring them. I hope yours stay gone for a bit! Boop: I'm doing LCHF too. I've lost almost 10 pounds in less than a month. I am thinking of adding a few berries with heavy cream now that I'm through induction. I plan to keep carb intake to less than 50g/day. Chasing grandkids definitely helps! Debbie: I am impressed that you are able to get up and out the door so early. I barely crawl out of bed before 11am, then I kick myself for not getting up and doing something worthwhile before work. Usually, by the time I am up and caffeinated, it's time to make something low carb for breakfast, get my lunch packed and get ready for work. It's a bummer for sure. I work 3-11, which means I really get off around 12:30am (on a good night) and then have a 40 minute commute. I get home and am keyed up, so I eat. LOL. Up until recently it was ice cream almost every night. I pass a UDF that is open 'til 1am! A double scoop of Sea Salt Caramel was my usual order. Now I've been eating pork rinds and cream cheese, or pork rinds and sour cream. LOL. I go to bed around 3am feeling decidedly greasy. I have sleep apnea, so I probably don't get the quality sleep I should, even with the c-pap. Anyway....I keep telling myself I will get up by 9am, do a Bible study, ride my bike, feed my chickens, plant some half-runners before it's too late for even fall beans, work on small areas of my house at a time (it's overwhelming...I want to be a minimalist and my husband loves garage sales...LOL), but instead, everything feels overwhelming and I stay in bed. Well, Ladies....didn't intend to write all that, but, it's the truth. I hope you all have a great night and day tomorrow. I was off today, because I work the weekend. I didn't really even get moving until dinner time. |
Lurchmomma - where in Ohio do you live? I live about 30 minutes south of Cincinnati in Northern Kentucky. I know people that work 2nd shift and it is a little harder to do things because your schedule is off. Have you considered doing some exercise when you get off instead of eating? I know that hour maybe hard but since you are keyed up it might work off some energy and allow you to sleep better. Congrats on switching over from the ice cream to something else.
Boopchick - isn't those grandkids so fun. When we take some of ours to the park I do laps around the play set while they play. I definitely don't want to walk away but I figure even a few laps is better than nothing. Glynn - yes my grandkids all live about 20 minutes away which allows me lots of time with the kids. Isn't it funny how those "piles" just seem to build so quickly. Good job on getting up and moving to clean some of them away. I bet it is hard when you have constantly headaches - do they know if possible be caused by food choices? I had a friend that discovered it was caused by food they were eating. I actually live closer to Cincinnati then Mt. Sterling or Clay City but I have been to both many times. I am actually about 20 minutes away from the airport but out in the country. Mt. Sterling has an awesome court days (big yard sale) and Clay City has a drag strip that we have gone to many times. My brother-in-law use to have a drag strip car before he passed away. |
Hi Debbie:
I live in Southwestern Ohio, the Dayton area. Our place in KY is close to Morehead. I've thought of exercising at night, but I think I would end up being up even later than I already am. Eating at least makes me sleepy, whereas exercise energizes me! I'd be up wide awake at 5am! I do hope to be able to give up the night eating altogether, my goal is to come home, shower and go to bed. No detours to the fridge. I think part of the problem is I wake up too late for breakfast, so I basically eat brunch and supper, so I'm missing part of the calories I need. If I go to bed earlier, then get up earlier, I should be able to squeeze breakfast in. Have a great weekend. |
Good evening ladies,
I didn't make it here last evening. I had worked all day on a couple areas that needed decluttering and straightened up. By the time I did that and got supper dished up, I was too pooped to write anything. But it was a good pooped ~ a good feeling to have accomplished something. I got most of it done, except the table I had gotten cleaned off the day before, I had put some stuff on there, and ran out of steam and time to finish that last night, so got that finished today. I had hoped to work on the hand stitching (that is all I have left on my sewing project) today or this evening, but kind of tired (had to get up earlier than I am used to this morning for an appointment), so that will have to wait until tomorrow. LurchMomma ~ I worked the 3-11 shift for a couple years (as it was the only option opened when I needed a job) and I liked it pretty well. I would get off work and unwind by getting my internet fix. I ate too and probably not healthy stuff, so that part wasn't a good thing. When I went to bed varied depending on (like your experience) what time I got off work. I slept until I woke up. I liked that part ~ didn't use an alarm clock ~ and felt like when I woke up on my own, my body had gotten the rest it needed. I think I ate something when I got up ~ don't remember for sure now. Then about 11 am, I walked for about ½ hour every day, then took my shower, and started to get ready for work ~ pack a lunch, eat a meal and watch some TV or get on the internet or call my mom. On the weekends if I didn't have to work the next day, after I got off work, sometimes I would meet my husband and we'd go out for a late supper. That was kind of fun. The kids were grown and gone by that time. That schedule wouldn't have worked when the kids were growing up (most of my years, I worked either the 11p to 7a shift or the 7p to 7a shift). And it wasn't a good schedule for being able to get together with other people ~ but we weren't social people, so that worked out ok. But I had a long drive to work ~ was 30 miles each way (not so long I guess) but I had to leave earlier than I might have otherwise, in case there was some kind of traffic jam on the interstate ~ so that I could always get to work on time. So, even though I liked the schedule, between what seemed like getting off work late a lot of the time and the time I spent driving to and from ~ doing that 5 days a week ~ I just kind of felt like I didn't have much free time. So, I opted to go back to the 7p to 7a shift when a position became available ~ that way I only had to make that drive 3 or 4 days a week. During that time on the 3-11 shift, I did the best I had done in a long time ~ with my diet and exercise. I was consistent with the walking ~ something I have always struggled with. I lost about 40 pounds. Sadly, I was ½ way to my goal weight when I went back to the 7p – 7a shift. I gradually let the walking dwindle away and the eating ~ fell back into old habits. And so here I am. Now, I have no excuse about the exercise, I know I need to do it, but I still struggle with doing it consistently. Sorry ~ didn't mean for that to get so long. Debbie ~ glad your grandchildren live near enough that you get to spend time with them often. That is a good idea ~ walking laps around the play area where the kids are playing. Yes, “those piles”. Every flat surface in our house is at risk for collecting clutter. I will get it cleaned off and think that I will keep it that way, then eventually, even though my intentions are good, gradually, the piles build back up. I think I have a clutter fairy that visits me ~ LOL. Hi Boopchick ~ hope you have had a good day. Starting to get sleepy, so I'll get this posted. Hoping you all are having a good weekend. |

Good evening all,
I was gonna go to church this morning, but was still kind of tired from yesterday, so I didn't end up going. It wasn't too awful hot out this morning, so after I ate part of my breakfast ~ I went for a bicycle ride. I think I might have finally hit upon a routine that could work for me. Doing it like I did today seems do-able. My ride ~ I go a ways, then turn around and come back. I stop at this little pond in our neighborhood. It has a fountain in it ~ it is pretty and peaceful. It is like a treat ~ stopping there for a little bit. I read my little devotional thing while I was there, then continued on home. In my search one day for maps that show the hike and bike paths in our neighborhood, I came across a couple neat apps that I like. One is Map My Ride and the other is Map My Walk. They are by the Under Armour company. It is on the phone and uses GPS ~ it tracks and makes a map of where you ride or walk and tells how far you went, how long a time it took, your average speed and the number of calories you burned. It makes it kind of fun. The day has kind of flown by. I did some hand stitching on my project. Not all done yet, but getting there. I thought I would get more done. I can't remember what else I did with my time ~ probably spent too much on the computer. Gotta go dish up hubby's supper. Then more stitching. Hope you all have had a good weekend. Here are some pictures of the little pond I like to stop at on my bike ride. |
I think we should change the lyrics of a famous song to fit us..."The Old Gray Mare, she's better than she used to be"! :) And then start living as if it were true! I believe we'd be amazed at what is possible if we embrace it!
Gayle: I love your quiet park and fountain. We have a wonderful rails to trails system in my area. The spur by me is rural and goes for miles through cornfields and wooded areas. There have been a few bad situations on the trails, so I can no longer relax enough to enjoy the serenity of nature. When I've ridden in the past couple of years, I've stayed in the developed areas. I think I may just strap on my holster and go for it. Ohio is an open carry state. ;) Hello to Debbie, Boop, and anyone else passing through! |
Hello ladies!
Just a quick check in. Thank you for the warm welcomes. It's been a busy few days. We had planned on camping on the river together but the water rose so high that it was out of the question. We switched plans and went to the lake together for the day Sunday & Monday. We cooked on the grill, swam in the lake and had fun together. It was pretty easy to stay on plan. What's better than steak and burgers on the grill? Yum! Have a wonderful day!!! |
Hello Ladies:
Boop: Sounds like a great weekend! I had to work. I did get to see some fireworks out of a patient's window. I'm glad you were able to celebrate while so easily staying on plan! I've been staying OP food wise, but I know I have to get back to exercising. I read a quote once, I need to look up who said it, "40 is the old age of youth, 50 is the youth of old age." I don't know if that's encouraging or depressing. Hello to Gayle and Debbie! |
Hello Ladies,
Been busy and haven't had a chance to get here. I read, but too tired the last couple of days to write anything. Have a little more hand stitching on my projects, then they will be done. Had my mammogram today, then ran some errands while I was out. Maddie was trying to teach me how to play Minecraft on the Xbox thing. I'm not very good at those kind of games, but she was patient with me and I can do a few things ok ~ LOL. Kind of a sad day yesterday. Maddie's guinea pig Leo died. He wasn't that old. She and Sara (Maddie's mom) were heart broken. Maddie was somewhat better today. They took him to an emergency vet who tried to help him ~ and thought he had ~ sent them home ~ Leo seemed a little better, but died later that night. Headed to bed ~ hope you all have a good rest. |
Hey ladies, just came back on this site again tonight whilst found it again when googling weight loss!!!! I am 51 and in Scotland, three grown kids and three grandaughters. I am struggling so much the now with my weight, my hormones are haywire and my metabolism is a nightmare!! The weights creeping up and I feel its hard now to get it back down!! I struggle with willpower which doesnt help!!!!
Late here now so Im heading to bed but thought coming on a forum like this may help me get motivated again :-) |
Hi Shaz!
Welcome!! Visiting this forum definitely helps with my motivation :) |
Welcome Shaz ~ glad to have you join us. Together we'll get there. Keep on ~ don't give up. You can do this.
|
Thanks Glynne and Boopchick....oh and Good Morning from Scotland!!
Well Im headn off to work soon but I will try to be more focused oh and I will try drink more water!! I had a better day yesterday then last night sat down with a massive bowl of icecream and chocolate sauce mmmm not good!! Did you guys find it alot harder to shift the pounds after hitting the big 50???? I did give up my gym membership and havent been going to any exercise classes recently....but I have two pups I walk daily.....and no excuses I do have an exercise DVD I could be doing also daily!! Well I hope you all have a lovely Friday whatever you are doing!! |
For me it was the pre-diabetic weight gain in my 40's and now that I am 52 and have been peri-menopause for a few years. I have my blood sugar numbers in check but the menopause weight gain is hitting me. It's really hard to loose. It's very frustrating.
|
Hi wanttochange.....It is very frustrating.....and just so difficult!!!! Then what happens is you are doing well the scales dont move downwards so then you lose your motivation!!! I have been a tad better the last few days :-)
|
Good afternoon ladies,
Welcome wantochange. You are not alone ~ this journey is frustrating. But hang in there. Take it one day, one meal at a time. It has been a busy few days. Days that haven't gone as expected. But that is ok ~ they were good days even so. I got to spend time with my son some on Friday and all day Saturday. We don't get to do that often, so I really enjoyed that. I've got all kinds of stuff I need to do, but feel tired ~ sure hope I get it done. I learned today that our granddaughter is staying with us all this week because her mom has to go out of town for her job. She is 9 and does pretty well entertaining herself. She is here every day after school and in the summer time ~ more of the day. But this week it is all day and night. She is a good kid, but there is just something about having someone here at times they aren't usually here ~ that makes it hard to let go and relax. I don't think I will sleep very well because she sleeps in my bed and tosses and turns and I do too and am afraid I will roll and disturb her. This is not a good week to not be able to rest. Oh well, it is what it is. This too shall pass. Glad we can be here to help our daughter. Shaz ~ yes, I think it has been harder to lose the weight as I have gotten older. Another thing that messes me up is headaches. When my kids were growing up ~ I had bad ones ~ I think hormone related because they seemed to happen around that TOM. Then in my peri-menopausal years ~ I hardly had them at all ~ that was wonderful. Now they are happening again more frequently. Not as bad as they were back along, but enough so that sometimes I don't feel like doing the stuff I need to do, and when I have them, I don't have the patience to mess with fixing healthy stuff to eat ~ I want something I can grab quick ~ which usually isn't a thing that is the best choice. So, I will make a little progress, then have a run of days with headaches and not so good food choices. I undo the little bit of progress I had made. So I seem to never make much progress (weight loss wise). I do feel better when I am eating right ~ so there is that. LurchMomma ~ way to go keeping OP with the food. What kinds of things do you like to do for exercise? Boopchick ~ your time at the lake the other Sunday and Monday sounded like it was a nice time. Yum ~ the grilled steaks and burgers. Glad you had a good time. Debbie ~ how are things going with you? Guess I'd better get off here and do something. Hope you all are having a good weekend. |
Evening Glynne......not good about your headaches, I was having troublesome ones last year and they were just put down to hormonal, they have calmed down but I do stil get them at times.....must be aa nightmare though when you are getting them regularly!!!!
Awh nice having your grandaughter staying over, my oldest daughter lives very close and she has three girls, 10 8 and 3...so its nice they are so near, I had two of them earlier today and we made pancakes then tonight they were here for Sunday dinner!! Have to say I was quite focused this week with the diet but today its not been great..but hey ho back on it tomorrow :-) |
Good morning! I am pretty strict with measuring and weighing everything that goes in my mouth but have been eyeballing the cream that I put in my 2 cups of coffee every morning. I decided to actually measure out 1 ounce this morning and was surprised to find that I have actually been overestimating the amount I am using! Oh happy day!!! My coffee is my indulgence/pleasure every day and tastes so much better with 1 actual ounce of cream per cup rather than what I was estimating before.
I have my grandson 4 days a week this summer when my daughter is working and I am enjoying it so much. Today looks rainy so we will probably hang out here at the house and play games. The scale read 244 this morning. Whatever I am doing lately seems to be working well. I'll take it while it lasts! Well wishes to everyone!! |
Hello ladies,
Sorry I haven't been here more often. Busy, busy, busy. Maybe things will slow down when school starts up again. Maybe not ~ then I switch over to a different busy. I can't remember if I had mentioned before ~ I've got a project looming before me that I have put off far too long and I need to get at it. We need to down size our stuff. I've got boxes of stuff that need to be gone through and decide what to keep, what to throw and what to give away. Then organize what ever we decide to keep. Boop ~ your coffee creamer was an error that turned out good. Getting an amount that makes your coffee enjoyable and it is ok. Those are the nice kind of surprises. Shaz ~ glad your granddaughters live close enough that you get to enjoy them. Hello wantochange, Debbie and LurchMomma. Hope you all are having a good day. |
Good Wee Hours Of the Morning, All!
I have been feeling very blah and tired. I think the low carb diet is just not for me. Last time I tried it, the same thing happened, but I was diagnosed with Lyme disease around the same time, so I wasn't sure if low carb was to blame. Now I'm pretty sure that it is. LOL. live and learn. Hello to Boop and Gayle and Shaz and Debbie. And hello to WanttoChange! I saw your name as a recent poster the other day and immediately got this crazy image of a goat in my head. When I clicked on it, there was the goat in all its glory! Hahahaha! I remember you from an old thread. :) I will be rethinking my plan....again.... Hope you are all well. |
Hello everyone!
I'll be spending the day at home today. It's raining and in the 60s so the perfect day for me to go through through the house cleaning and organizing before Bryan gets in on Sunday morning. It's been so nice out that I've been spending as much time outdoors and swimming at the lake, beach and river as I can. I just finished putting all of my music on my external hard drive and syncing it to my phone. Wish I had done it much sooner. All of my music at my fingertips whenever and wherever I want it! Yes! |
Morning Ladies....well been a busy few days here.....and one of the pups was in for their big girl op and has been under the weather but picking up now!!! Summer time here in Scotland and yesterday it rained ALL day!!!!
Well just stood on the scales and they are up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aagghhh lost three pounds over last week or so...I do feel there is a hormonal element going on!!!! I have a few things to do today...so I have to try and stay focused!!!! Enjoy your Sunday :-) |
Hello all,
Busy, busy, busy. Had a non scale victory of sorts. Every once in a while I have one of those gas station cappuccinos. Well, I had one without dumping a bunch of extra sugar in it. I have been trying to give up sugar/sweets - that has been a lifelong struggle for me - so I felt like that was major. Hurt my foot tonight. Hope it feels better soon. Hope you all are doing well. |
Hi everyone!
My son is flying back to CA today. We had such a great week doing things together with the family! I will admit that I am exhausted...we packed a lot of activities in. :dizzy: Hope you are all doing well. Seems that I am firmly in the 230s now so I am excited about that! Today will be low key. It's raining and 57 degrees F so feels more like spring. Perfect day to chill at home and watch a movie! |
Two suggestions...

So, I was never sure if it was Lyme or low carb that was making me feel so horrible. I quit low carb and was treated for Lyme, and did get some energy back. I just started back on low carb a month or two ago, and found I had absolutely no energy again. I was eating coconut oil, avocados, etc. It's all complicated by menopause now, LOL. Who knows. It could even be my thyroid! Thanks for your concern! Hello Boop and Shaz and Gayle and Debbie! |
