What i found most helpful, in my case was to see a dietician and serious exercise. I had to re-ignite my metabolism as it was shot. My dietician saw me weekly and also administered B shots and weighed me weekly. He also checked blood pressure and Listened to me about any struggles I was encountering while trying to lose weight.
I also swam at my local community college and took a CPR course to keep me informed on good health. Swimming was a God Send for me. It really helped all the dieting to occur in such a way that it wassn't like when I lost 65 Lbs it was drooping on me. Swimming conditioned my body , while dropping 65 Lbs in 1.5 yrs.
I dont swim as much now. I returned to work and felt so much better after the weight loss that I was able to work FT even. Twas on disability before that.
I think the swimming, change of female hormone rx to 1 with more power in regulating my PMS and water retention, and in joining a gym to work out at eves after dinner really made all the difference in The World to me.
I wish YOU GOOD LUCK in your weight loss journey. A plan really makes a difference. In a plan I mean , reaching out to outside sources, support groups , or 1 on 1 nutritional or dietary support, and the gym or regular exercise component ALL work together. I almost feel like I would not have succeeded in my weight loss w/o all 4 components:

Hormone therapy, nutritional therapy, gym, and swim class.
