I'm 50ish

  • 😎Hi everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say hello. It seems as though I post in areas where there's little to no activity. Haha. Story of my life. Anyhoo just wanted to share my good news of being 20 pounds less than I was five weeks ago...and for me, 52 years old with insane hormonal fluctuations, this is in fact awesome news. I still have a very long way to go but I'm not fixated on that. One pound at a time and sooner or later I'll reach goal.
  • Congratulations! I am 53 and have been trying to lose weight, tried Nutrisystem (waste of $), Weight Watchers, and now Atkins through a medical weight loss clinic. I started last Monday and am pleased to say I have lost 5# (water I'm sure). But, I definitely understand the difficulties of losing weight with hormonal issues. Best wishes with your continued weight loss

Thanks so much! I have also tried so many weight loss programs. My previous attempt was Hcg, drops not injections, and I failed miserably. You're first week on Atkins was good!! I tried that years ago and may reread the books to see if I could handle it with counting calories. I have a serious problem with portion control..obviously.

😊 Hi. No secret at all, I juiced, mostly followed the 21 pounds in 21 days (Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox) but I lost 15 pounds because I had to include a small amount of fruit due to having wonky blood sugar. Honestly it was not easy but I was determined to kickstart my journey with a noticeable scale loss. And then I began counting calories and that's where I am right now. Plus exercising as much as I can every day. Im not doing cheat meals or time off from walking as I am trying to avoid a few medical issues; borderline high bp, diabetes and back surgery.
