Good snowy morning, All...

Quick entry, have to leave early to take GM her groceries on the way to work. Looks like we have a couple of inches and lots of big, fat flakes of sunshine (the WF said we'd be in the 60s... they're definitely overpaid!!)

Bobbi - sorry! I didn't mean to usurp you. I didn't realize that KarenFL had asked you for the St. Pat's ideas. I just jumped in without paying attention!

Hope you all have a lovely day! Later!

Bobbolink 03-12-2013 03:03 PM

Donna...you didn't, It didn't even enter my mind. The girls here are like my sisters, we answer each others questions. And K3 said anybody.

Hello everyone, again I didn't get to the gym. We had a tax appt ...this is the first time we've ever had someone do our taxes so I wanted to have time to go over everything before the appt. I was glad that dh was back in time to go with me. Then I still had to come home and scrounge up more papers...found all but one thing and hopefully it is not too big a deal. So we have another appt Friday before we get the news on how much we will owe..we've saved all year so hopefully we have it covered.

My arm is hurting less now that I am taking the ibuprofen 3x day, but my neck and head have been hurting really badly. It is much better today but last night was bad. I took some Tyl PM and it still took a long time to get to sleep, but when I slept I did sleep good and had no pain on awakening. I was going to try some sinus OTC med but they all say ask if you have high BP and since the doc is evaluating how well my new BP med is working, I didn't want to screw things up by taking an OTC that would raise my bp. :dizzy: So trying to tough it out until I see him next week but last night I was honestly beginning to think about going into the ER!

We babysat yesterday and had a nice time with the little ones (3,6) and also with our dd when she returned. She has lost 8 lbs or so and looks great...of course, she looked great before. She has a personal trainer and works out hard. Her back and shoulder muscles are hard! She is participating in a run this weekend. She said the other day someone (stranger) asked her if she is a runner because of how her body looks! Wish I were like her...

Bobbi - Love the sound of the radish appetizers! When I was a kid, I loved to eat bread spread with butter (probably margarine actually) and sliced radishes. I still eat that some times only I use only a little bit of Smart Balance now. I esp love the large organic radishes I get at New Seasons Mkt.
I don't notice my neck muscles being hard (maybe cause mine are covered with more fat?!) but it sure hurts and I also notice at the base of my neck where it begins to round (remember I have a posture problem), sometimes really hurts too. In my head it is at the back or right on top...besides the ache it also feels like someone is pulling my hair. It is a very wierd feeling!
I really am not sure what's going on. I am also going to ask the doc for another order for PT. Haven't been to PT since we got back from our winter trip but I am continuing to do the exercises.

Mini - I hope the hip exercise helps you too. You may have to do it a while if you are already into the pain, but in time it might help keep it away. The way I discovered it was once when I was at my oldest dds. She is a massage therapist and she wanted to give me a massage. I was really hurting and was a bit reluctant but wanted to please her so I agreed to it. She is a tiny gal and she actually laid against my hip while in the position I described! I thought oh, no, I'm going to die...LOL It didn't hurt but was very firm pressure and I wasn't sure how much that hip could take. But afterwards the pain was completely gone and didn't come back for a year!! So I started doing the stretch myself (using my hand for extra pressure) whenever I feel it begin and so far have always been able to keep it from every getting bad again.

Hi Girls!!! Gosh life has been so busy lately!

I couldn't walk today as it is cold well...44 but raining. Maybe I will get on my treadmill when I am done here....I have to go back to work tonight and fire a worker....man...that is never fun but must do.
Rosey....OMG! Your lab chewed up your seat belts! Guess she surely has seperation anxiety. I guess I was misleading Bobbi....the only dog I have ever been allergic to was that little Pom I had....I used to raise and show Shelties and we had a Lab too. They are great dogs! I would love to have a Maltese. I can't though....life is too busy for me now. I am a Director of Nurses and do long hours sometimes.
Is your snow gone Bobbi?
Cajun...lol....I had to chuckle about thee boots....I do that with my son.....he comes and looks at me before he unlaces his workboots to see if I am going to say....."Oh okay.....,don't bother'"
Maryea~ Thank you for the welcome!!!:carrot::carrot::D:D

I'm just going to wave like Rosey and post my menu. We have two appointments this morning to look at houses, grocery store and at least 1/2 hour at Snap, our exercise place. My menu for breakfast and lunch is pretty much the same everyday. It works for me, I really hate spending time preparing stuff daily other than supper. I have my breakfast packets for a week, yogurt made for a week and lunch soup made for the week. No brainer. I also hit 125 today, first time this year. My skinny jeans still don't fit like they used to, my belly fat just doesn't go away. Maybe the Snap fitness center can help with that? I won't change my ticker until I hit my goal of 124. Rosey...save some moose gravy for me, love it!
Later gators.

Good evening GG's,

Yippee ~ three days down ~ one more to go, then a day off.

It was such nice weather when I got out this evening.

Cajun ~ I was thinking of you and how you will miss your son when he moves. How far away is he going? Hang in there.

Shar ~ you are doing great with your weight loss.

K3 ~ how is your daughter doing.

Bobbi ~ how did the house looking go? Have you by chance posted somewhere that butternut/chicken casserole with applesauce recipe ~ if not could you ~ it sounds yummy

Mary ~ sorry you are having the various pains. No fun. Thank you for your help with the stretching exercises.

Rosey ~ glad you got a little “me” time. Glad Steve didn’t get hurt when he slipped on the ice.

DeeDee ~ glad you got to enjoy your grandson’s concert and time with your granddaughter at her birthday

CK ~ enjoyed getting to see Ginger’s work out again.

MaryGee ~ glad you are liking your new doctor better. How did the appointment with the dietitian go?

Donna ~ two more days, then off the weekend for you. Glad your ground got some much needed water. Thank you for the help with the stretching exercises ~ I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but need to ~ pain medicine only helps a little, so there has got to be something else.

Deelee ~ how are things going for your mom and with your son. Take care of you.

I'm getting sleepy ~ I'd better get to bed, I was a bad girl last night and stayed up late ~ felt like kicking myself in the morning when the alarm went off. Sorry to those I have left out tonight. Hope you all are doing well.

Take care

This recipe has a high rating and sounds good if you're into potatoes.

Good Morning, we looked at two houses yesterday and one is almost perfect. All hardwood floors, double garage and solid built. Good location too, park across the street so no houses across from us. The kitchen is remodeled, all new cabinets and nice counters and floor. BUT, the kitchen floor has a slant to it? We don't know if the house settled or what, no cracks in the foundation, roof line is straight. The basement isn't finished off either which makes the house quite cheap to buy. We'll keep looking and keep that one on the back burner. We have some gal coming down from Minneapolis to look at our house Saturday. Cross your fingers girls.

Glynne...I had to go back and see what chicken butternut casserole you were talking about. It's not a chicken butternut casserole, no chicken in it. We had a baked whole chicken with the butternut apple casserole on the side. I'll look for the recipe and post it later today. It's delicious and a great recipe to save for special dinners, holidays, etc.

Shar...thanks for the congrats but I've been at goal before. After making goal I tend to fall back on old eating habits. I can lose weight so easy, just have a hard time keeping it off. I don't learn very well, probably never will. I do know when I get 10 pounds over my ideal weight to get right back to counting calories.

Rosey...I eyed those peeps at Walmart yesterday and thought to buy some for Bruce. In the back of my sweet tooth mind I was thinking of me, not Bruce. So I passed them by. How many calories in the 3 peeps you ate, good thing you know yourself so well and only purchased 3.

I'll be back later for more personals and the recipe. At 9:00am I listen to a 25 minute sermon on the radio. Turning point with
