I spent an enjoyable day yesterday with my parents making holiday goodies. I had fun trying to train my dad to become a choclatier with some success. He is wearing his oxygen as he is supposed to and seems to be ok. I plan to make a couple batches of chocolate truffles sometime this week and then I will give them away very quickly!
I need to go down today to cut and wrap the caramels as they weren't ready last night. I plan to walk down there - it is about 1/2 a mile. I figure it is a good transition back into working out.I hope to really stay solidly on plan this week and I have asked ds to prepare the lower calorie versions of our suppers. Add in a lot of green veggies for volume, and I should be good to go! I still refuse to believe the 5+ pound weight gain. There is nothing in my food logs that supports increasing weight this month. I need to work seriously on my digestive process and stay on plan.... I fine cleaned the fish that Kenny brought me and I will prepare them for my folks on tuesday night. Beautiful, 20+inch trout. I can't wait.
Carol, the low residue diet will help your body heal. You will be able to get back to a diet that supports your diabetes and weight loss soon and then move on. The most important thing is to recover now. I am thinking of you.

Lynn, I hope you enjoy the holiday trip. This is an annual trek for you guys, isn't it?
Misti I didn't tell you.... I also love the rain. When my friend lived in Seattle, she hated it. When I visited, every morning I loved to stand outside and turn my face up to the gentle, misting rain. She thought I was nuts.
Trish NICE biker stories. Love it. Good job in the italian restaurant.
Rosey I bet everyone loved their cookie trays. That is so much fun to do. People forget how expensive it is, though..... Of course, everything I make is chocolate and that costs a pretty penny.
Donna Please send me some snow
I know you don't like it! LOL I enjoy your descriptions of corporate slavery....Gayle, I am better with the knee. Looking forward to working out again. It is amazing how sore the rest of me has become from sitting around for a few days....
Bobbi Well, even if your ticker is lying, you haven't let it get out of hand. I read on here all the time where people have gained it ALL back and I feel sorry for them. You are stepping up early to take care of a few pounds.
Chickadeee Are you working on a quilt these days? What is it like?
CK I liked the flash mob thing. Fingers and toes crossed for real estate success!
Marie What are you planning for the holiday? Are you off school? I am walking the packers this morning
Karen FL Is dh getting better and doing more for himself? Too cute about dash and his new friend. I think he was singing about his treats....
Zoe I think I missed the post about how the carolers and the gathering went. I am going to go looking for it. I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Mary, did you buy a car yet? I don't know if you know about this.... the deals get better at the end of the month because the salesmen and managers are almost always struggling to get to quotas......
Webwoman It is fun having all the family home but make sure they kick in to help with the work - it is also a lot of work
Freda I hope the work weekend is ok. Are you enjoying all the dgk's christmas programs?
Isabella how was the church choir? Are you almost done with your charity work fo rthe season?
Nancy what outfit did you wear to the moose lodge and did you have fun?
Sorry for anyone I have missed. I know Koala is gone. We haven't heard much from TeaGranny lately....

I have a 5 day stretch this time. Schedule is different because of Christmas.
Actually I moved to Fort Lauderdale and absolutely could not stand all that heat and sun, so moved back, ha.
