:) Went out for dinner with a crazy bunch tonight; so many laughs that my cheeks hurt! And I must pat myself on the back as I didn't have the free cheesecake! I had "virgin" caesar & a chicken stiry fry which was really good & I think I stayed within my point range. Rosey - I hope your DH is doing better. Karen - Hope you had a great birthday! Zoe - hang in there & try not to worry too much; prayers for you & yours. Sorry if I missed anyone; wasn't deliberate. Later all.

Good Morning! Another pound down:carrot: Yes I'm still exercising and still not liking it much but I know it will make me stronger - one thing about chronic pain...it hurts to move, but hurts more if you don't :) Going to have to leave early for work - it looks a bit icy out there. Have a good day all.
Love and Light:D

ellabella 02-15-2011 10:40 AM

Well, as most of you know, the scale and I are long-time combatants, but I finally bit the bullet and hopped on last night. NOT a lovely experience - up from 162 to 168. AND, I imagine if I don't put the brakes on here and now, it'll just keep climbing. I'll have to change my ticker when I have a few extra minutes. Ugh. :( Well, on the bright side (if there IS a bright side in all of this, that is) my appetite seems to have simmered down all on it's own, which is a help. Yesterday, ate my oatmeal with fresh blueberries for lunch instead of breakfast (had a tuna packet, some lite Miracle Whip, and a pita to put together for lunch, but didn't bother with it) and then for supper, put on a pot of pasta sauce - chopped onions, red, green & yellow peppers, sun dried tomatoes added to a big jar of Prego traditional sauce with some red pepper flakes to spice it up. Added Italian style turkey sausage and scrambled ground turkey, and then at the very last, a bag of frozen artichoke hearts. YUM, and double-yum. Problem is, you have to let that stuff simmer on very low heat for a very long time, so I ended up having a bowl of Fiber One cereal with blueberries for supper and saving the pasta sauce for supper tonight. I'll freeze what we don't use in separate, individual-sized containers. That'll save me from cooking a few nights in the future. So, not too many calories, and only about 660 mg of sodium (my daughter said I need to start limiting my sodium). Yeah, Karen3, they do (try) to get bossy, don't they? (I only listen when I think they're making sense. That seems to be a good rule of thumb. If I don't agree, I listen, smile, and say "We'll see what happens." So far, so okay.) Anyway, after eating so lightly yesterday, I was afraid that I'd be ravenous today, but not so much. I have my oatmeal and fresh blueberries to add to it, but haven't felt like eating it yet. Will wonders never cease, huh? I've been thinking a lot about what to do for exercise. DD says not to do any until I see the doctor, but I'm kind of leaning towards thinking that it can't hurt, you know? So I'm going to hunt down that old Leslie Sansone DVD and try that again for a while. Looks like I'm going to have to MAKE time for some kind of regular exercise program. It'll be a stretch, what with the hours I spend commuting to and from work - it's not like I can get up a little earlier (5:30 is my cut-off point; I refuse to be up before that!) or stop on my way home very easily. As it is now, I don't get home until close to 6:00, and by the time supper is over, bedtime is creeping right up on me. So, this will take some creative thinking.
Well, wish I could say something to each and every one of you right now, but seems like I've said enough already. This post will go right off the page if I keep typing.
Hugs - and thanks for being there - to all!

Good Morning Girls!
I'm going to put on my shorts and go get a tan today, we have a heat wave. Gonna be 40 degrees today.
Oh, just kidding. Actually I'm going to bake DH a Strawberry cake with no frosting. I had a coupon for $5.00 off Drisdoll strawberries and had to buy 2 containers of strawberries. I need something to serve the berries over and I had a strawberry cake mix. There's 240 calories in 1 serving of baked cake. I could put applesauce in place of oil and use egg beaters to lower the calories but it'd still be higher than I want to spend on calories. What can I put strawberries over for myself while DH has his over cake? I eat so much of the Sugar Free puddings, I could use that. But I'm looking for a cake look-alike. Wish I had some angel food mixes in the house, that'd work. Any ideas all you bakers?

jess1 02-15-2011 11:13 AM

Good Morning, All...
Quick check in...
PT/Zoe, I didn't respond to your scary possible heart stuff... when will you see your doctor? GOOD thoughts abound! Insofar as exercise, walking will certainly not hurt you, and I think we can trust you to not embark upon any marathon Lynn/KarenMO stuff-and-nonsense! Keep us posted... and GO TO THE DOCTOR!

Rosey, how is DH? What does he have to do differently, to cope with those 4 ulcers? Can this be treated solely through diet or does he have to do meds, too? I'm glad he's home; I know YOU'RE glad he's home, too! And how are YOU?

I have a friend who is having gastric by-pass next week and so we're getting together tonight for a hurrah celebration for her. I'm so proud of her, making the decision, and I know she'll do as well with her journey as our Rosey has with hers!

Better get rolling. Nothing to report. I am as boring as this post!! Lynn, Lyn, Karens, Mary, Freda, Bobbi, Isabella, NCNancy, everyone!, be warm, dry, and safe!

glynne 02-15-2011 11:17 AM

Good morning all :)

Where did that sun go ~ it was here just a minute ago. It warmed up here a little yesterday and I was able to go out on the deck for a bit in the afternoon and enjoy that.

Baked a heart shaped brownie yesterday and made an outline with decorator icing to sort of stick those little conversation hearts on to decorate it. Took that over to Sara's family. I didn't even get into it ~ yippee!! Got to spend time with them. Gave Sara some hair therapy (brushing and brading and playing with her hair ~ relaxing to her I guess) Corbin calls that hairapy. Then he wanted a turn and a back scratch :). Got to play with Maddie ~ she showed me her box (valentine's box from day care) of treasures. It was a good day.

Still feeling kind of tired today, but have got stuff to do, so I'd better quit fooling around and get to it.

Hope you all are having a good day.

Take care

the slim me 02-15-2011 11:20 AM

Good Morning girls,

Wow! Double WOW! The sun is out and it's supposed to be in the 40's today. I can see grass again, where some snow has melted. Is spring in the air? Don't get my hopes up and then turn on me!

Z, in this instance, I hope those kids do keep nagging you untill you go to the Dr. I'm afraid I put things like that off way too long. And I don't like your symptoms either. I can't say too much about kids trying to tell their parents what to do. My mom is still around and I find my self doing the same thing. And I always think I'm right. I get told very frequently that i'm not! Don't fret about the weight. You've been under a lot of stress, worrying about your sister and her son. Just get started again.

Bobbi, too bad you don't have those chicekns and all those eggs still. You could do a homemade angel food cake. Then you both could have the cake and strawberries. I saw strawberries at my grocery store too. Must be coming in from somewhere.

Tea Granny! Way to go Girl!!! a weight loss and exercise!

Rosie, glad to hear that DH got a diagnosis. Yeah, treatment for ulcers has changed drastically. But I can remember my dad drinking milk for his ulcers. I'm anxious for you to get that scale to see how much you've lost!

Karen, thanks for the laugh! Hope you had fun on your birthday.

Lafalot, turn around and i'll pat you on the back for resisting the cheese cake. Not easy to do, so you deserve a pat!

Lyn, Waiting to see the new red head.

Gayle, we were posting at the same time. I took the day off yesterday too. After a weekend i'm beat. don't ask for miracles from me on Monday.

Donna, I hope you're getting some warm weather. Have a nice get together tonight!

Hope everyone is getting some of this sun,

Freda

Karen, I hope you had a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My DD's birthday is today.

Zoe, I hope your doctor will find a VERY minor problem.

Bobbi, What's happening with your headaches?

Rosey, I am so sorry to hear about your DH. I wish we lived close enough to help each other.

Freda, we had a nice day yesterday. Today is sunny, but COLD.

Gayle, I am making a heart-shaped meatloaf tonight for my DD's birthday.

Donna, my purpose for the marathon is to get to my goal weight. I am almost there (145 lbs) weighed in at 146 this morning.

Everyone, have a lovely day,

Lynn

glynne 02-15-2011 12:11 PM

Lynn ~ beautiful ~ your new do :)

jess1 02-15-2011 12:14 PM

Lynn, CONGRATS!!!!!!!! I'm proud of you!! You've really done a good job, and I admire your commitment to the goal! Yeah! I like the hair color picture, too!

That's it for today.... really!

Karen31 02-15-2011 12:24 PM

Good Morning---Just a quick pop in since I just finished working out with the Wii and need to get in the shower. I had a good birthday and actually I ate too much! I hope to see at least a small loss on the scales Friday but guess I should be happy if I stay the same. I kind of feel like most of what I ate was high in sodium and today I am drinking enough water to float a battle ship!! But I had the omelet on Sunday and then yesterday had bbq ham sandwich with fries. Then last night the son brought home a pizza and I had a piece of that! I ended up feeling blah when I went to bed and ended up taking a gas pill just to feel better to get to sleep!! Hope I remember that the next time I want to overdo it!!

Lynn, I love the hair color! You look really happy with that "Happy Smile"

OK Got to go before someone beats me to the shower!!

ellabella 02-15-2011 01:05 PM

Lynn, I believe that at one point, you said that your volunteer activities & photography class (and more, of course!) were making you FEEL younger; please be advised that you are also LOOKING younger (and happy!). I am so happy for YOU! Really great job with the weight, and I do like the hair color and style. Suits you nicely.

I shall most decidedly go for whatever appointment dd is able to wangle at short notice.

Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE all of you GG's?
Well, I do!

Eww, Karen3..fried reptiles and amphibians sound horrible! Hope you can open you windows soon.

Lynn - I agree with everyone else - love your new hairstyle and color.

Rosey - glad hubby is home and resting. Hopefully the ulcers will heal quickly.

Everyone in the midwest reporting 40 degree days - can't wait 'till it makes it's way east...we are windy and cold today.

I weighed in and am up 3 pounds from last week Boo. Maybe it's water weight? I'm still doing my workouts and yoga and will hang in there.

Congrats to all you other "losers"

Good Morning! Just a quick check in this morning before I get my workout in with the Wii.

Freda-- wasn't it you that said you were getting a Zumba video for your wii? How do you like it? I have a $20 off certificate for Best Buy and was thinking that might be a video that I would like. I've been looking at them and DDR. Do you have to have a game mat for Zumba?

Laffalot--Congrats on the 2 pounds lost!! I hope to see that too this week...going to be tough though with all that I ate over two birthdays!

OK I'll be back after while--I want to get this workout in and then maybe go and get my haircut again--it is driving me crazy(ier)!!

Bobbolink 02-16-2011 10:01 AM

Good Morning Golden Girls!
Another beautiful warm day here, DH is going to wash the outside windows. It's going to be in the 50's tomorrow! I'm going to spend some time in the kitchen cooking 'stuff'.
Lyn...Take another picture of your new doo, my eyes aren't picking up much on the picture. Too much light in the picture and I can hardly see your hair color. (must be just me?) My headaches are about every 3rd day now, a big improvement plus they aren't so severe. I'm only doing Dr. Bones and the laser treatment once a week now.
Laff...what's your real first name? Congrats on the 2 lb. loss.
Quote:

I lost 2 lbs so I am a happy camper

Rosey...the Turkey Crunch casserole sounds like something my mom used to make. How much of it can you eat? I'm thinking your DH will be on a very bland diet for awhile, good luck on that one.
Lyn...last Sunday nite DH made Taco's and all the fixin's and I was up a few pounds the next morning. Even my eye lids were puffy. I dranks lots and lots of water the next day and dropped the weight easily. Did you eat something salty?
KarenFla...Gee, I hadn't thought of you living among the gators, do you see them often? Can you enjoy your yard without worrying about gators sneaking up on you? Scary!:fr: Oh, I wanted to tell you about last nights supper. Since we still have tons of chunky applesauce in the freezer, I made your apple omelets last night. I know you use fresh apples but the chunky applesauce worked out great. I chopped up crisp bacon and put in DH's omelet and I used the cardboard tasting lean turkey bacon in mine. It was delicious anyway, DH loved his.
Quote:

Old gators, frogs and swamp crud.

Hey Zoe...back in the groove huh? I'm thinking you'll get our nice warm weather soon.
KarenMo...you continue to amaze us with your new determination, you go girl!:carrot:
Donna and Glynne...what's happening with you two today? I know you both live in warm weather most of the time, any thoughts of gardening? I've got 5 herb pots started and put under a 'Grow Light'. They're not doing very well.
Freda...funny you should mention my chickens, I actually did make a homemade angel food cake when I had all those eggs. It was the first and last homemade I ever made. I can't remember the exact number of egg whites it took, but it was like 12 eggs I had to use. The box mix is cheaper to make and easier. I did find something I forgot about in the freezer for my strawberries, some SF cupcakes I made from a box mix. (Pillsbury sugar free cake mix) I used canned pumpkin pie filling in them instead of oil and it was good with the berries over them and low calorie.
Quote:

Bobbi, too bad you don't have those chicekns and all those eggs still. You could do a homemade angel food cake.

Any of you watch the biggest losers last nite, I thought arthur was going home for sure. What a surprise he lost 20 pounds.
Hi Tea granny, how ya doing today?

Have a good one, Bobbi

Tea Granny 02-16-2011 10:31 AM

Good Morning Ladies. I'm just stopping in to say Hi - gotta hit the road. Way to go Laffalot:carrot: Have a safe day everyone - you all truly inspire me to keep on track and to not give up! :D

Karen3 02-16-2011 10:40 AM

Morning...High tide put out the burn and the windows are open. Perfect Spring day. Up early since as soon as my eyes opened I realized today is first laser zap day. hmmmmmm 1pm.....Denist just called and tomorrow is cleaning day.....wonder what shape I'll be in tomorrow???? I know pull up my big girl drawers.

Laff....2Lb! great

Rosey....ahhh what a keeper to bring you tullips.

Lynn.....perfect with just a hint of color. Your smile lite up the room.

Bobbie....we have lots of gators, wild hogs even bear around here. A panther was spotted about 3 miles inland. The canal behind our house always has a gator cruising along. In 11 years we have never told our dogs that there is water in the canal. They swim in the pool so they aren't gator lunch. We have a seawall with steps down to a dock and keep a gate across the steps. This area is called the Nature Coast and there are more "nature" things than people. A great area for an old retired hunter and Dh is happy. Watched BL last night and really don't like Arthur. Maybe they way they edit him but he whines and uses everyone. That truck push was a joke...I've pushed a truck once it gets rolling it isn't hard to keep it going....and he needed help.

Karen...You are not only gettin thinner but now with Zomba-ing you'll be younger!

Zoe....28 days until DST starts!

off the shower and shampoo. No creams or oils on my face. Be back later with whine or cheer......did i say i was excited....karen3

jess1 02-16-2011 11:13 AM

Good Morning, All...
Thank GAWD all the socializing is over for this week... and beyond! I feel like a stuffed sausage, because I don't normally eat those kinds of things... and it's going to feel good to do basics today and get myself back in balance. I'm feeling very uncomfortable today!

Okay, Mary, so when IS your birthday? We tried to give you greetings last month, which you returned... but now you aren't on the list at all. Isn't it this month, um, like, this week? If it is and we missed it, well, happy birthday!!

PT/Zoe, any word on your appointment? Good thoughts, my twinnie! Aw, Rosey, pink tulips... how sweet! I hope the ulcers resolve soon. And are you eating anything you want now? My friend's surgery is Monday, and she's excited/scared. Have you been back on your scale?

No news here. I'm just feeling FAT. This, too, will pass! All of you seem to be doing so well with your weight loss, and I'm proud of you! Bobbi, headaches?

Everyone, have a lovely day! Be warm, dry, and safe.........

the slim me 02-16-2011 12:20 PM

Good Morning all,

Another beautiful, sunny day. Still cold, naturally, but sooo much warmer than last week. My little dog is taking advantage. He's going out side and sitting in the sun many times a day and not coming in and lying in front of the heat registar. Went to DGS's soccer game last night, and while it was fun watching him play soccer, sitting on those benches for that long was not fun at all.

Lynn, Can't see a lot of color in your hair (ok, i'm half blind, even with glasses) but the smile on your face is priceless. Now we can call you that "sexy redhead". And congratulations on being so close to reaching your goal. That is why you are such an inspiration to us all. when you make up your mind for something, it gets done! What are you going to do to celebrate? Bet come up with a plan. With just 1 lb. away, it's going to happen really soon.

Bobbi, I'm glad to hear that your headaches are getting more infrequent. Hopefully soon they will be gone for good.

Z, I'm glad you're going to see the Dr. Not a favorite passtime for any of us, but a necessary evil. Especially for me, I see enough of them at work, thank you! to see how they are to their patients and how they treat us, their eyes and ears, is quite an education.

Karen3, Good luck on that lazer Zap. I've seen them do it on Tv with really amazing results.

Hi Tea-Granny, stay safe on that road!

Karen21, No, I haven't gotten the WII zoomba yet. My niece has been using hers every day and raving about it. I just haven't had time to get out and get it. I have taken Zoomba classes, and I can tell you they are FUN! if you like to dance, they are just the thing. I do exercise (not as much as some of you, but at least 1/3 hour 4-5 days a week) and I always leave drinched in sweat. And feeling like I want to do more.

Laffalot, Another 2 lb.? You are rocking girl!

Rosey, Ahhhh, pink tulips. How sweet. Yeah, I guess you should keep him. One of the doctors at work had the bipass and was telling us this weekend that he had cheesecake before going to bed the night before and had the worst case of "dumping" ever. Have you had any problems yet, or are you being really good?

Donna, Wishing your friend the best with her surgery!

Well, gotta go. Dh wants to go look at new cars. Mine is on it's last legs. Only thing is, I LOVE it. It's the most comfortable car I ever owned and I hate breaking another one in. I think we're looking at a GMC Terraine. Crossing my fingers it's a fit.

Bobbolink 02-16-2011 03:48 PM

Love the pictures Rosey!
Remember when I said earlier that I was going to make 'stuff' in the kitchen today? I found the only recipe I'll ever use again for Chicken Stir-fry. It was so yummy, low in calories and DH just loved it. I didn't have some of the ingredients but found recipes to make fish sauce, red curry paste and coconut milk. I put all three on my grocery list for future use because I will make this again and again.
Check it out in our recipe section

:) Hi Everyone - Beautiful day today - sunny :sunny: & almost, kind of, sort of warm! Still need a coat. It snowed last night but it's melting now. Still have alot to go before we get spring. Bobbi my name is Sherry. I'll try to post it on my profile.........remember I'm not comp[uter smart! We don't have gators, etc but we do have coyotes, bears, moose, elk, deer & right now lots of bald eagles (they are so beautiful!) We also get trumpeter swans resting up before they head north & of course, Canada geese, ducks, etc etc. The gators would scare the stuffing out of me! There is a mamma moose with her twin kiddies hanging around a field just a few blocks from my house. Amazing.........I believe they don't "do" twins very often. There were around here this past spring, summer & fall too. Tool cool! :cool:Everyone have a great rest of the day! TTYL

Karen3 02-16-2011 06:25 PM

hi all...am home and everything went fine. Took almost 3 hours and now feel like have a windburn. Doctor told me all my brown spots would get darker before they fell off and not to be surprised that more show up that I didn't know were there.Gees had about 100 and now have about 300. It didn't hurt and staff were very supportive. Worse was the gel. Felt like face was covered in warm sticky jello. The 1st lazer was so bright even with eyes taped shut was liking looking into my skull. The other 2 were warmer and more like hot rapid bee stings without a follow up pain. Actually got sleepy.

Glad I had leftovers and dinner with ready in seconds. Now a glass of ice tea and Survivor will make me a happy camper. BOO Russell and Boston Bob!

Rosey...you look wonderful. Must be the pink reflection from the tullips!

bye....karen3

Hey G.G.s,
I missed visiting here yesterday, because I was busy, busy, but didn’t really accomplish much. Ever have one of those days?! Anyway, I just want to congratulate Tea Granny on the 1 lb. loss, & Sherry on losing 2 lbs. Yay! & Yay! And Lynn, I love your hair, both the style & color!

KarenFL, glad your treatment wasn't too bad. Still looking forward to seeing the new you.

Rosey, great pictures! You’re really looking good! It’s too bad about your DH’s ulcers, but such a relief it wasn’t something worse. And tulips! That was really sweet.

Bobbi, I’m thinking about trying turkey sausage in the apple omelet the next time I make it. I like that much better than turkey bacon.

Zoe, I’m anxiously awaiting the results of your dr. visit (as I’m sure we all are). When is it? You left NC too soon, now we’re having nice weather!

Speaking of dr. visits, SO had his today. And….. He goes back to work TOMORROW! We’re so excited! I just hope it’s not too soon, but the dr. should know, right? And, back to getting up at 4:30 in the morning - that part I’m not too happy about! Anyway, there are things I should be doing to get ready.

'Night Y'all,
NCNancy

ellabella 02-16-2011 07:35 PM

Back - tired, but otherwise fine & dandy. Had to go into Boston today for a meeting, so I took a baggie with fresh blueberries and a cup and a half of Fiber One cereal - the frosted shredded wheat kind - and chomped that during my drive into town. Was in the office this afternoon, and heated a Quorn faux-chicken patty for my lunch; had it with a little lite Miracle Whip on a piece of pita for lunch. Drank water. They had several desserts in the lunch room today - one, especially, that I would have a hard time resisting if my appetite were as hearty as it's been since the holidays: some sort of tunnel of fudge cake (omigawd), but it wasn't calling my name out today; must've been calling someone else's. :dizzy: I called and pre-registered for my Dr's appt. tomorrow night - dd is insisting on going with me, which I'm distinctly UNthrilled about, but so be it, I guess. Anyhoo, having the pasta sauce tonight over shirataki noodles (zero calories in the noodles) and that's it for the day. Any other time I'd be patting myself on the back for eating carefully, but these past three days or so, it's just felt like the comfortable thing to do - no particular effort expended, so I can't take much credit.
Karen3, can I tell you that sounds awfully scary to me? I freak out over mammograms; having my eyes taped and my face lasered might push me right over the edge. I am in awe of your bravery! DSL! Oh, what a happy thought! This driving home in the dark every night is for the birds! (Owls, probably, right?)
Hi Sherry - or should we call you "nature girl"? That's quite a line-up of wild creatures you've got surrounding you. I like looking at pictures of meese and such, but am not real sure how close & personal I'd care to get with them.
Bobbi, I will most definitely be trying your chicken stir-fry recipe! I've made my own stir fry, but to tell the truth, I never feel like it's seasoned particularly well. I'm looking forward to yours!
Such sweet pictures, Rosey! And the weight loss is becoming more and more evident in your face...you're looking really healthy and good, chickie; keep up the good work!
Y'know, I really couldn't see much of the color in Lynn's hair either, Freda - I think I was just so impressed with how happy she looks! (Try to get a better pic of the hair, Lynn, you hear?) Oh, I hate changing cars, too...I get used to whatever I'm driving, and so long as it doesn't need any repairs beyond regular oil changes and new tires every couple of years, I'm a happy camper.
Hey PT, my appointment is scheduled, I've pre-registered, and it's as good as a done deal, trust me. (Oh, okay, don't trust me until I come back and say I actually went....gawd, how I hate going! :()
Karen31, I'm proud of YOU, girlfriend! You've become a Wii Fit maniac!!!! Before you know it, you'll be a lil' twig again. And you're having fun with it! Wow. That's fantastic!
Oh, Lyn....doesn't that just make you want to let out a screetch and stomp around and have a real old-fashioned tantrum? :tantrum: It's one thing if you gain because you've overindulged (presumably in something yummy) but when you don't, and especially when you're exercising faithfully, gaining 3 pounds isn't one bit funny. Must be sodium....what else could it be? It'll drop right off again, but it's still totally annoying. (Guess you can tell I've been there, done that, huh?)
Gayle, that heart-shaped brownie sounds like such a wonderful Valentine for your dd & her family! Things you make yourself are just so much more appreciated.
Tea, good job with the exercising...I'm trying to push past my innate laziness, because I KNOW I need to do it.
Nancy, where are you? Hope your new wireless device isn't malfunctioning! Come back! We miss you!
Hiya Bunti! What's up?
Okay, that's it for moi....time for din-din and then it'll soon be bedtime. What an exciting life I lead!

Nsv! Nsv! Nsv!!!

This is so totally awesome and somewhat hilarious. I grabbed my new black dress pants ( I bought them at the beginning of December for Christmas parties, and because I couldn't wear my other pair-too tight) I noticed that they were "a bit loose", but I'm always running out the door so didn't pay a whole lot of attention, other than too make a mental note "hey that's cool :)) Once I started moving around at work the crotch kept dropping lower and lower...and I kept yanking them up. I couldn't find a good safety pin to save my life - and the crotch was REALLY drooping - so I had to go into the bathroom...and take in the waist 2+inches...with my stapler...:carrot:

lynard21 02-16-2011 10:29 PM

Tea - you made my evening - a stapler no less...great NSV!

I read through everyone's post - thanks for the words of encouragement on the 3# gain. Probably too much sodium - I love my salt.

I'm going to bed to read now...will post longer later. Night all.

Tea, I love that story!! That is awesome!! Congrats!!!

Pretty tired tonight, my aunt was in a car accident this morning. She is the one who is 84-- she was driving and had to stop for a city truck that was in front of her and a big truck hit her from behind and pushed her into the truck in front. She is pretty shaken up and sore (I'm sure she will be more sore in the morning) but she did go to the er and got checked out. They said she has a bruised sternom (SP) and will be sore but everything was OK. Did a cat scan an xrays. She drove her mini van back home with my brother following close behind her before she went to the hospital!! One tough lady!! She is still complaing tonight that she has a headache but thinks it is just from all the stress. Pretty scary day!!

I'll be back tomorrow and try to be more talkative.

Good Morning Girls,

Didn't get too much done yesterday, but did go check out the cars. Got all the information, went for a drive, now it's decision time. The day was nice, A lot of snow melting and the sun shining.

Karen, So sorry to hear that your Aunt was in an accident! I'm glad there was no injury's. And I think the reason that people that old do so well is, they're strong or they wouldn't have gotten to that age.

Lyn, After awhile you know if you've eaten too much salt or just plain eaten too much or not exercised enough. When things don't add up, figure it's the scale, not you.

Tea, That is so awsome!!! It sort of sneaks up on you, doesn't it? Sounds like you might be ready for some new pants. Some of us here have used Goodwill, or used clothing stores to add to our wardrobe until we're finished losing weight. You're going to have lots of these moments. save your money and go on a huge shopping spree when you get to goal. Which will happen sooner than you think too.

Nancy, We all have days when we seem to work all day and get little done. But they were things that needed doing, and they are done and out of the way! Great news about your SO.

Karen3, I never really "tanned" but I still got some of those spots and one that was "pre". So I've been using the cream in hopes that it gets rid of any damage. You're doing it the fast way. That is so great. One less worry.

Hi Sherry, I wouldn't want to live where there were aligators that might get to my little Benny dog either! I've heard of that happening. I know Karen said she had gates blocking them out.

Z, Are you staying at home most days, for work, now? I hope you get it down to just going into the office occasionally. Just the commute time will save you so much time. Spring is coming soon. Maybe you can take a break and go for a walk? have you started the walking program again? sorry to nag. I know you will start when you're ready.

Bobbi, I love stir fry and make it often. It's a great way to get in all my veggies. I've always wanted to experement with different sauces, so I'll for sure try this one.

Rosie, I totally agree with Z, and noticed it right away with this new picture. Your weight loss is showing in your face. I know you are going to be pleasantly surprised when you get that new scale.

Lynn, where are you? Training for another marathon? I admire you so much. You are always so busy doing such interesting things. A real inspiration!

Hey Gayle, where are you? I know you aren't working! Is it getting nice enough there to go for another bike ride?

Bunti????? where are you? Out having fun I hope.

Good Morning, All...
Rosey, what exactly IS "dumping"? I've heard the term, but I don't know what it is and I'm too lazy to look it up for myself! Does it hurt or is it just like retching? My friend is nervous about her by-pass surgery on Monday. Do you want to be her mentor? And I love your pictures! Your dog seems to like the tulips, too... I think that's so sweet! You LOOK thinner! When is that new scale arriving?
KarenFL, hope all goes well with your "zapping"... just be sure they don't accidentally zap that wonderful sense of humor of yours!
NCNancy, glad the Poop... oops, sorry, the SO is going back to work! That should make your life easier... but I didn't understand why you're getting up at 4:30 a.m.? Do you have to dress him? Are both of your kitties doing okay now? (I'll knock off the SO stuff, even though it will pain me to do so...!)
PT/Zoe, the appointment is tonight? Oh, my friend, good thoughts abound! Please give us all the sordid details asap, and I'm hoping that all is well and/or easily fixed!
TeaGranny, good job!
Lyn and Lynn, yo!
KarenMO, hope your aunty is okay. She's just a whippersnapper, though! My Aunty Ann just had her distributor cap mysteriously lost, because the dear, mostly-blind, 95 year old soul was still trying to drive! EEEEKKKKKKKKKK. These old folks are a WORRY.
Freda, sounds like you're doing okay. It's always good to hear from you!
Bobbi, headaches? Your cooking, as always, sounds so good!!
Not much to report here. I'm enjoying the warmer temps, while they last. I'm back OP, did well yesterday, and felt the results immediately. Better get rolling, though... errands abound!
Everyone, warm, dry, and SAFE.............
