Default Phytoestrogens, any experience with these?

Hi, I was reading about phytoestrogens (plant based estrogens that you can get from soy, etc, also in cream form), and have been giving it a try. The reviews I have read of the products were good, women past menopause that obtained benefits (overall well being, better mood, increased ability to concentrate "feeling like their old self"), and wondered if anyone here has tried them, and if so, if it had effect on weight. I am afraid that my use has contributed to a little gain, but I do feel better. Have only in the last few weeks been exercising consistently, and might just have been eating too much.
Thanks!

Hi, not trying to be negative, but lately I've been reading that soy products, unless they are fermented, can keep your thyroid from functioning, so I have given up the soy milk. It also has alot of sugar in it so back to milk for my coffee. I'm not sure if it's true, but I have no energy and also I know the sugar is bad for me.
