Good Morning!
I was due to comment on everyone's post and Freda just said it all, I ditto you Freda! Ditto, Ditto, Ditto
Thanks for giving us your name Sue, it makes it less confusing.
Lynn...OK, time to at least take your one point for checking into the challenge you started. We've all been there, done that. Freda and I have both made our goals more than once, but we're still here. Why? Because everyone stumbles and we do need this thread and each other. If you let yourself slide, you're going to be so mad at yourself and the scale is just going to climb higher and higher. I know you and you have it in you to get back OP. Do it today because we all care about you.

Good day, everyone!

There's always tomorrow or the day after that. Don't you dare stop posting because that's actually the real enemy. I hate posting when I'm not doing well but it really keeps me from sliding off the track altogether; just coming on and reading and posting. Eat moderately and start again in January if you must but don't stop posting. DO YOU HEAR ME? WE NEED YOU.
OK, I'm really gone now. :D

I know the next two weeks are going to be a struggle for me as well, I just, know if I tell myself "NO" I will just over do it when I'm alone, I was always a horder, never let anyone see me eat too much in front of them, I can remember after starting Nutri-Systems, I ate a whole batch of russian tea cakes, kids never got a one, of course DD knew I make them, but where did they go??? :o I give myself permission to indugle in a few, select treats. One little trick that works for me is I try to think about it first, sounds simple and corny, but for me it works, why do I want.....I can't just mindless eat anymore, I have to be conscience of everything, do you write everything you eat down?? That also works for me, I tend to eat less of the naughty stuff if I know I have to have a record of it staring back at me.. Stay strong, and don't leave, you know you would miss us, and I certainly know we would miss you  :D

Lynn, Jess/Donna may be right about your gaining muscle – I didn’t think of it, but of course with your daily exercise routine, you must be losing fat and building muscle, which is heavier. Maybe instead of weighing, you should get out the measuring tape… :D:grouphug:

My Dear Golden Friends,

Thank you so much for your wonderful wishes and encouragement. I think I've been kind of depressed - between the holidays, and the illnesses, and the upcoming surgeries, it has been more stressful than I realized.

I'm back. Meeting my sister today for lunch, will have salad.

I APPRECIATE you all,

Lynn

Bobbolink 12-18-2009 09:32 AM

Thank you Lynn....hang on tight!

So glad to hear that you're "back" Lynn. You would be truly missed

Another point, and this is the nurse coming out here, the health problems and the surgeries will go much better if you're healthy and eating well. It makes a big difference. It will make a difference in the recovery time and, actually, the outcome.

And have a WONDERFUL salad! You don't have to have the boring things any more. They make them with some really interesting ing. any more.

Good Morning, All...
Had a lovely gathering at my niece's last night, lots of wonderful MX food, complete with guacamole and other such necessities... I'm sure I'm NOT going to be registering any new muscle weight! Oh, well! It was fun to be around family we haven't seen in a while!!

Going to finish up the baking, will buy the last two Safeway gift cards, and will finally start to wrap... and then I'm FINISHED! Yeah!!

Have a good day, everyone!

OK, confession time. I had a potato chip melt down last night.

Thank you SO much! I do to! That is why I am just paying attention to input and out-take at the time - not do'n much in the way of exercise, my body is do'n all it can right now to fight off this infection....

You are right, times I just want to crawl up and huddle under the covers - DH is OK with that - he knows I've been through this a lot and he wants me to feel better by Christmas too!

 Thank you! ;)

:drill: The Chips????? :drill: Tomorrow is a NEW day, forget'a bout it! :dancer:

:yikes: I have a LOT of catching up to do! :yikes:
GREAT advice Carol! Get it out of the way AND your body will continue to burn calories the rest of the day! :cheer:

Well.....since you asked........ (my Jack Benny impression) :lol3:
I have an In Stride Plus Electronic Stepper with Total Body Resistance Tubes by Stamina - Model No. 40-0046. That should be enough info for ya to do some Google'n with!

I got mine 1/2 off at GNC here in town ($35 my cost) - they were holding a special and I also purchased it the first week of the month. But this was the beginning of this year. I had to dust it off (after I found it) to get back in gear with it.

Well, that is just my experience with a stepper - cheap but very good quality! NOT recommended for anyone 250 #'s plus. So, hope that helps! ;)

Well grumble grumble..Grrr... don't have the patience for why it's taking so long, so I will just say Hi, and hope this gets posted!!

Have a wonderful Saturday-

Carolis60 12-19-2009 01:14 AM

PrairieChick--Hope you get well soon. Don't over work! Take meds and rest!! Drink lots of fluids! Just want you to feel better!! I'll say a little prayer for you tonight! hugs...no germs.

We had a busy morning. Before we went to the pool we went to Marie Calendars for breakfast. Our oldest grand daughter is home from college so we invited her to join us. I did really well, but I did have a few bites of the beautiful fruit cup. It looked so good, had three bites of honeydew, one bite of banana, and a couple of cantaloupe. I hope having the fruit doesn't keep me from losing. I usually get a muffin and bring it home (which I did) but this time they frosted it with cream cheese frosting. The muffin looked like a miniature BD cake...... all we needed was a candle. I won't get that one again.

After swimming, I took Amanda out to lunch at a new place here in town. I had a date with a friend that never showed. I called her and she totally forgot, we switched our usual lunch day. So I had half of a chicken scoop (probably made with reg. mayo), tomatoes, and cucumbers. It was a delicious salad, but will have the rest tomorrow for lunch. DH gets hers tomorrow.

I tried to be good, but eating out 2 times in one day is to much.

I appreciate the info on the stepper! I'll google it and see what I can find out. Thanks!

I had fish, squash, and green beans tonight. I had to eat fast. We went to a Christmas choir service at a nearby church. Was very enjoyable. Passed on all the home make cookies afterward. They looked so pretty on the table.

Everyone have a great Saturday.

Carol

Good Morning Everyone,

VERY snowy here in the Northeast today. Between the time I walked into the gym & the time I walked out, we went from 0 snow to LOTS of snow. Had planned a trip to the bookstore, but skidded a couple of times & decided to get home. Will do my book shopping online today.

Hi Jess, I have to do my wrapping also. Probably do that today - will have to close the presents in my spare bedroom to keep them away from my curious cats!

Hi Carol, I ABSOLUTELY agree! Between the temptations and the method of preparation, I think we inhale calories when we walk through the door to a restaurant!

Will check back later,

Lynn

Good Morning, All...
Did you enjoy the Jacquie Lawson link I provided? I love her cards!

Lots of running around to do today. I do NOT enjoy days like that; they really wear me out. I'll be so glad when this whole holiday season is over and life can return to nice, quiet, peaceful, boring normal!

Have a good day, everyone!

retiredone 12-19-2009 04:31 PM

Hi everyone. I didn't lose anything this week but I'm guess I'm slowing down as I'm getting closer to goal and it's Christmas to boot.

Jess, I loved that card. So pretty and special.

I've had a pain going up my back since this afternoon. It may be the underwire bra I was wearing and the half glass of 7-up I had at lunch. I think I trapped the fizzy drink around my rib cage. DH wants to go for a walk to look at the Christmas lights. That may take care of everything. Hahaha. I just had gotten on my shorts and tank top to take a bike ride when he says, "Let's go for a walk." So I'm off to de-summer and get into my winter togs.

Hang in there gals and I'll catch you all later.

Karen31 12-19-2009 08:44 PM

Donna--- Loved the card!!! So Beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing.

Institches21 12-19-2009 10:49 PM

jess1-that was beautiful, Thank You for sharing

Like Lynn mentioned, snowy day, alot of Snow, hope tomorrow is better DH and I have Dinner and a Show, he surprised me with it, for our Anniversary! Hope it doesn't get canceled.

Well almost ready for Christmas, if the snow had not started when it did, I just might of finished, well I hope to get the last couple of gifts on Monday, need to go to ToysR Us, which I'm sure will be an adventure. Then Tuesday will be wrap day, and Wed food shopping Thurs baking.

Well hope you all can have a restful Sunday.

Bobbolink 12-20-2009 09:12 AM

:mad::mad:MY stepper just broke, I can't do anymore steps. The hydralic thingy isn't working. If I can't figure out what's wrong, I'll have to drop out of the challenge with a perfect record!:mad::mad:
