Lightbulb Check-in Thread for Book Discussion

When you have a copy of the book "in-hand," post a note here and let us know.

I got tired of waiting for B&N to send my book so this morning I went to the library & picked up the book. You know what was in my mailbox when I got home from the library!

OK - I'm ready to read. Will start this weekend.

Lynn, I've posted before that I have the book -- am reading it on the treadmill -- I am about half way through, but I am trying to take my time, cause I don't want it end!

Got a library copy today. Will probably start tonight as I have only a couple chapters left on the book I'm reading now.

Hi Pat,

One of my favorite quotes is from Winnie - "If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear."

Oh Lynn, that's priceless! I actually read the one in my signature somewhere else and then went looking for the correct wording. Haven't read Winnie in years, though I have a copy from the 40's!

Good Morning!
Our local library didn't have the book but sent for it from other libraries in the state. They called, it's in. We're driving into town today for errands and I can't wait to start the book. My question is how many people are actually reading this book, how far along are you and are we going to discuss it as we reach certain chapters. Sorry for all the questions but I've never been in a book club before and not quit sure how it works.

Hi Bobbi,

Glad you got your book. I'm going to post the first DQ - Discussion Question this week. It will be geared toward the first 100 pages & will be answerable by those who are just beginning the book.

I have yet to lay hands on the book so guess I'll bow out on this one . . . I will likely read all you discussion threads, though . . . maybe that will be kind of like a Reader's Digest Condensed version.
