  • Hey meoweeeee!

Spiny, I only wear sports bras, but some women, many even, prefer bras that are sexier, e.g., lacy. With a certain uplifting quality about them. You know. Va Voom?

I think you might be right to stick with the tank-top-like sports bras. It sounds like you don't really need the support--you just don't want ummmm sweat stains in odd places.

  • You're right, I don't need the support. What I liked about the "real" bra is that it has those hooky things that close it together, and sometimes because the tank-top like bras are so tight fitting they are awkward to put on and take off over my head.
Va-Voom - ha. Yeah, people can get funny when it comes to "boobs."
  • LOL - Jo, Oh, to have your problem! Sports bras don't have enough support for exercise for me. Neither do regular bras. I find myself wearing a sports bra over my regular bra if I am doing anything more than very low impact aerobics. And if I didn't wear one - the "girls" would be draggin' somewhere around the belly button

Jay, are you feeling any better today?

Linda, I don't think I have ever been average when it comes to clothes. Large, small or in-between - I've always had trouble finding things that fit. My feet are too wide, my toes are too short, my girls are too big, my arms are too short, on, and on it goes ...

I'm glad it is Friday. It was a long week. School was canceled today, so my phone and email were pretty quiet. I got a ton done - it felt good! Well, I'm off to get my media presentations done for church on Sunday.
  • I don't have a lot of boobage either. I would prefer not to wear a bra at all because they itch. In addition to the tags you mention, quite a few folks are allergic to spandex which is very common in underware. I got a thing like a "leisure bra" that goes on over my head. It really doesn't give any support, but does cover me. The label is printed on the inside of the garment which is ever so nice - no scratchy.

For some reason, not wearing a bra is sort of considered "bad manners" among women my age. I really have no idea why, but I wear my little soft bra to be polite.

Ha ha, Spiney, it is hard to make a statement when no one notices!
  • Well, that is true, it is hard to make a statement when no one notices, but I was never trying to make a statement by not wearing a bra, it was just an unneccesary part of clothing, except that it does add a little bit of warmth, doesn't it? And since I'm always cold, the bra could kill 2 birds with one stone, making me more warm and more polite, since if you're always cold, it can be more obvious that there is no bra there. But why do we want to go around killing birds anyway. And skinning cats. I don't care how many birds we can kill and how many ways there are to skin cats. Who made up these cliches? Such violence.
