Ok, so not everywhere. But seriously the the time it takes for hair to grow on my face is ridiculous. I grow it on both sides of my chin (just 1 or 2 hairs) on my side burns, lol. Mustache of course and a few on my cheeks.
I HATE FACIAL hair, as do most of you i'm sure! I shave, with a razor, honestly everyday. I'm so anal about it. I'm afraid someone will be like, hey you - you got a hair over there. (Never has happened, but one day - it will)
My point is - what do you guys do to get rid of this hair? I'm so tired of shaving it everyday - but thats just my routine now. Any tips / tricks?
i used to have a mustache, i would always bleach it because it was black and I am really pale. so i was worried that shaving it would result in a 5' O clock shadow ! eventially i caved and went and had it removed via electrolisis..it hurt really bad but at least I know its gone for good.
I pluck as soon as they get long enough to grab onto. Thankfully mine are confined to my chin. On occasion I will get the Nair wax strips that you just warm up between your hands, by rubbing. But mostly I stick to plucking. I've tried the facial hair chemical hair removers and they just burn my skin.
I'm planning to get laser hair removal on my face and chest if the growth doesn't significantly cut down when I'm in a healthy weight range. I'm sooooo sick of it! I wax the mustache area and shave under my chin. I'm like you, I just KNOW that one day someone's going to point out a hair.
I shaved my upper lip and my chin every day for years and I finally got tired of it. I'm hoping the growth will slow as my weight evens out, but I bit the bullet, let it get long enough, and I've now had it waxed professionally a few times. (I found a really good concealer that hid the darkness pretty well) My lip comes pretty smooth, but on my chin is hard to get them all, so I can feel a few, but they're not visible. I do pluck between waxes now.
Shaving would be cheaper and easier, but my stylist says that they're coming in softer, and I can tell they're lighter, so hopefully I can get them under control.
The Sally Hansen pot wax is my holy grail hair remover too, but it's really hard to get in Europe I use that on my chin and lip about once a week, and I pluck stragglers in between. About six years in the hair grows back a lot finer, but it's still really dark. It sucks!
I used to get my face waxed, but I'm currently doing laser hair removal. I had my first session April 12th and while I used the LMX 5 Cream it still hurt in some areas and I have a pretty high pain level.
The lady I go to is really good as she tells you where the most sensitive areas were going to be and that it's ok to say stop for a break before she starts again.
I didn't pay $400 for it. I got it on eBay for $150 and it came with 3 cartridges. It is expensive as the cartridges usually cost $30-40 a piece. I was using around 1 cartridge every 2 months but I haven't needed a new cartridge since January. It's cheaper than professional laser hair removal. It worked great on my mustache, which is totally gone now. My sideburns are thinner and they grow back very slowly. Before I used this machine, I had to shave every day but now I can go 2-3 weeks before shaving. My chin hair is also growing slower but it is still just as thick, which is annoying. I think the hairs are to light in color and I may need electrolysis for them. The air on my arms is 90% gone. I still have some thin, light brown hairs that pop up once a month but they aren't very noticeable. They don't recommend zapping hair in the summer because you are suppose to stay out of the sun 3 weeks before and after. Next winter, I am planning on stocking up on more cartridges and doing my legs.
I wish I could do an at home laser.. being black I have to get laser done by someone who knows what they're doing. I didn't want someone who didn't have the correct laser for my type of skin color. :/
