I am feeling really excited about May, guys, thanks to you all. Checking in and reading your successes and encouragements really helped me stay on track.
I'm feeling particularly motivated this weekend because it's my birthday next week and most of the celebrations involve restaurants . . . I'll try to be disciplined but as discipline is not my forte (at all, lol), I'm hoping to have a loss this weekend to help me not blow my goal for May before it starts.
I had wanted to be down from 296 (April 20 starting weight) to 290 for May 1st . . . but I'm already down to 288.6 which will make my goal of 270 for the end of May way more achievable. Yay! (I know 20lbs loss is a hefty goal for one month, but I figure I can do it safely because I have such a high weight now . . . as I move down, my goals will become smaller lb-wise per month.)

It stuck! Weigh-in today was 248.6. My husband had mentioned wanting to go to our favorite Mexican restaurant again this weekend, and I told him no thank you. It was hard, because he doesn't really offer to go places much, but I'm still glad I declined! Seeing a whoosh stick and continue to move down instead of seeing an immediate gain after getting so excited is better than any enchilada out there, lol.

Ophelia, yay for it sticking! Mine didn't--or at least not entirely. I was up 1 lb today, but since I've still lost 7 lbs since I started mid April, I'm pleased. And hopefully the scale will be kinder tomorrow!
Only 3 more days in April (including today). I can definitely stay on track for that long . . . Then renew my commitment again for May.
Had a really rough week. I've felt down/depressed/blue and not known why; had some sweet & salty binges to go along with the feelings. This morning TOM arrived; I hadn't seen him since February. Mystery solved.
Stalled out, but remained at 248.6 today. I think my body is playing catch-up, lol.

Okay, weigh-in was 248.0 today, so that brings me to 12.4 lbs lost for the month of April! I've been really frustrated since having so many stall days, but it's nice to be able to look back at my goal from the beginning of the month and see that I have actually surpassed my expectation by 2 lbs. I've said this to myself time and time again, but I really need to keep this daily weighing in perspective! Ha.
Also, congratulations to everyone on their great successes! Missing a goal by a couple ounces or a single pound is nothing...you guys did it!! April seemed to be a good month for most everyone, considering.
