Default Bar-B-Que Pork Recipe?

Hi,
I'm trying to find a low calorie/low carb/healthy bar-b-que pork sandwhich recipe. Anyone have a good one?
Thanks
Jaye

Seems like quite a predicament.

I have not yet made or seen something like this yet,

though If no one responds:

Do some research on a all natural low sugar barbque sauce.

Try to buy a very lean part of the pig as certain cuts of pork are very fatty.

as for the bread, there are many alternatives available, such as pita bread and low glycemic index breads.

As I said, I do not know alot about this subject, but I hope that it helps you some

Hi Jonah,
My neighbor has several cans of pork that we were planning to use with this recipe with the fat and sodium drained off of it first. We have used the canned pork before to make this but that was before we both really began watching what we are eating and have been working on losing weight.
Thanks for the suggestions
Jaye

I just searched Hungry Girl and found this - http://www.hungry-girl.com/newsletters/raw/1537

15 net carbs although 12 are sugar. Seems like you could do better just finding some ready-made low carb BBQ sauce, etc. But I'm not sure.

Put a pork loin in a crock pot and pour a can of ginger ale over it. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, then drain and shred with 2 forks. Add BBQ sauce, heat through and serve!

I rub the loin with a spice blend first, but I've forgotten to do that once or twice and it was still really good. Use regular ginger ale (with sugar), not diet. I use Stubb's original sauce. I prefer the vinegar-based flavor as opposed to the sweet sauces. If you do choose a sweeter sauce, be careful to keep the crockpot on low as the sugar has a tendency to burn at higher temps.

This is a big favorite in my house and will be going into the crockpot tonight . It freezes really well, so buy a big loin when you see it on sale!

I had one from the newspaper, you made in the slow cooker, it had apple cider vinegar, ketchup and a few hot pepper flakes, I'll see if I can find it.

They did it with a pork shoulder, you cooked it in the slow cooker then shredded it and baked in the oven.
