However. I have haven't lost any weight since Friday and today I was actually UP A WHOLE LB!!! And that is after working out every day. And yesterday walked back and forth in the mall (suit shopping for hubs) for HOURS. My feet hurt so bad.
The only other thing I did was on Sunday I make a huge batch of chili that we have been eating for dinners. Was this a mistake?
Chili can be on plan, depending how you make it. But while SBD isn't about counting calories, some chili versions are pretty high in calories and sodium. Don't forget.... weight loss is not linear, even when you are doing everything right Ups and downs are normal.

Also, you say you have been working out a lot. Could you be building muscle? How do your clothes fit? Are you drinking enough water? And it's true, ups and downs are very normal. As long as the scale goes doesn't continue to go up (and if you are staying OP and working out, it shouldn't) then you are doing great and just keep it up!
I think Chili is fabulous! Actually when I saw this thread I thought I am definitely making chili today! lol
If you just started working out it could be that!
If you used all canned beans/tomatoes it could be the sodium
a lb can mean a lot of things, most likely water weight. My weight has fluctuated up to 9lbs in one day! Insane.but true.
Keep with it. The lb will go away. I don't think its your chili...
However, if you used any kind of a mix I would recommend next time making your own seasonings. I do my own just basically using chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, a pinch of cumin, pinch of chipotle, cayenne and whatever else I am in the mood for but the staples are the first 3 for sure!
Rinsing your beans will help lower sodium levels. Love chili on SB & eat it often. Agree that weight loss is a constant up & down. Stick with the plan. It works!
from this thread to my DW's ears! I make chicken burgers for myself but she wanted CHILI!
I use 93% lean ground beef, an onion diced fine, garlic, a can of crushed tomatoes, my own spices (Mexican chili powder, paprika, cayenne), a can of beans, rinsed (this time around was pinto), simmer...
It's what I have for lunch in fact. Make sure you drink plenty of water though as canned items usually have sodium!
I use ground turkey in my chili, and put beans and veggies in it. There isn't much in it off plan, except a little ketchup and a tiny amount of sugar(for the tomatoes) but, I just eliminate the ketchup, and add a tiny bit of truvia instead. Still delicious and on plan! I'd love to add corn but, that's for future phases...
I made turkey chili tonight for dinner. It was so good!
My basic recipe
Ground beef or Turkey
1 large bell pepper
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
1 can each of black beans and white beans drained & rinsed
2 cans kidney beans drained & rinsed
1 28 oz can tomato sauce
1 28 oz can petite diced tomatoes
chili powder
cumin
black pepper
salt
oregano
edit: Habanero, (I forgot this ingredient, most important imo lol)
FYI - I copied Wendy's a bit...if they can add celery, why can't I? So, I add a chopped pepper, a couple stalks of celery, and the typical onion. More veggies per serving! (and the normal rest of ingred)
I LOVE celery in my chili, but if dh is eating it I can't put chopped onions or celery in there... oy. So most times I pan steam them and then just take a couple servigs out for him before adding them to the rest! I figure I am the one who eats most of the leftovers anyway!
