Default Bad Day

Yesterday was a bad day. I didn't realize how bad until I did my workout this morning. Shark week (period) is coming up this weekend or first of next week and I was really crazy sweets yesterday. We have a bunch of crap in the break room at work and I had a field day. One bad choice turned into another and another. Then is trickled over into home and I ate completely off plan the rest of the evening. I wasn't even hungry and I was eating. I felt sick by time I went to bed and had very little energy this morning. I struggled thru my workout and now feel nauseated and sluggish.

So now that I got that off my chest, I need to buck up and get back on plan. I am going to be super strict the next few days. Ugh i just hate when I let something like this happen

wefrogy Sounds like one of those days when you have to just know it's only one day. Others will be better. Drink lots of water today and before you know it things will be back to normal for you. I hate to say it but when I've been really religious then cheat big for a day I've seen the scale drop unexpectedly. Sometimes your body needs a hibernation day I think.

You still DID workout so that's a huge plus, you have the determination and everyone has a bad day. Forgive and drive on!

I think we've all done that occasionally. I saw something somewhere the other day (maybe here on 3FC) saying that foods should come with a warning about how you'll feel later, haha. But even when we know...cravings can be horribly hard to resist. Way to get back on track today!

Hey, it happens to all of us; dont beat yourself up over a weak moment. Think of all your successes along the way, theyre not wiped out by one day!

One bad day is not a problem. You did not gain the weight from one bad day. Many bad days strung together = a problem!

Get right back on plan and I agree, you may even see a slight loss (I also tend to see a loss after I have been good for weeks and have a meal out or a "cheat meal").

But you need to figure out WHY you allowed yourself to slip up. You need to be accountable for every bit of food you let yourself eat. next time brush your teeth, eat some veggies (or pickles!), or something else low fat/calories instead of junk.

Try not to worry too much about being "super strict" either. You don't have to punish yourself for your slip, or make up for it by being extra strict. Just get back on your plan your usual way. Make the next choice a better choice, and then make the choice after that a better choice too. Over-restricting to punish or make up for slip-ups can perpetuate a binge/starve cycle that won't get you where you want to be. Good luck and good strength.

Thank you everyone. Yea I wasn't too strict today, just back to my normal on plan way of eating. Yesterday's energy level was very low due to the bad choices the day before, but felt back to normal today
