YES! She was perfectly capable of passing those exams. She just kept putting everything off till there was too much material and not enough time. Trying not to think about the enormous amount of money we have sunk into that private school...
Middlekid is settled now and staying with family, which is good; I totally trust them and this is a great stress reliever (I don't have the worry of sending her to total strangers) but I miss her positive vibe. I'm left with Prima, who puts everything off and then looks for someone/something to blame when it all goes pear-shaped, and Thirdling, who just... whines and complains non-stop, which really grates on me sometimes, maybe more than it should. She's 14, she's at that age...
The good news is, Prima appears to have at least landed a job. The bad news is, it's at the Dunkin' Donuts which is only the second in the country! I'm doomed!

I bloody love donuts...
So, yes, things are looking up, I think. And I hear you on the crocheting; having something to do with your hands is a huge help. I spin and knit.
Off to check the garden for ravenous slugs. Third day of rain, here..
