Walked instead of taking the bus.

Mrs Snark 04-23-2016 09:12 AM

Only one very moderate-sized cocktail for Friday night.

Karencat 04-25-2016 04:27 AM

I made chicken fried rice for dinner - supposedly served enough for 6 serves - but our two growing children ate 2 serves of it each - I suppose win #1 the girls liked it and win number 2 I only had 1 portion and unlike with takeaway's I don't feel hungry now and its been 2 hours later ...

MagicSusan - well done on walking instead of taking the bus I need to find ways to move more with winter creeping in here in the southern hemisphere

Karencat 04-26-2016 03:43 AM

today - went for a walk - got to 10,000 steps may not seem like much to some but its big for me

Mrs Snark 04-30-2016 09:15 AM

Great job on the 10,000 steps! :carrot:

I had a few olives and just ONE glass of beautiful red wine for my Friday night treat. I nursed that one glass for-eeeeevvvvvv-er, but I made it work.

This is going to sound backwards, but I waited until dh left the house to work out. If he notices I am trying he will say something he THINKS is being supportive but always makes me grrrrrr.

Karencat 05-01-2016 07:22 AM

got in 10,000 steps again today and added a 20 minute home gym session - my DH (dear hubby right?) fixed our total gym xli with rollers we bought online - hopefully little hard plastic ones last longer then the rubber ones that come apart - oh and drank 1.5 Litres of water

thanks Mrs Snark

ennay - does not seem backward to me if my DH did that I would do it too..
My hubby frustrates me I have lost 15kg or 35 pounds but has not said anything - then again he didn't say much when I gained it but that was over years... this is in months - he often says things to wind me up, but my one does it intentionally and never uses my weight

ennay 05-02-2016 12:11 PM

karencat yes, but eventually I am going to have to workout when he is around if I am going to get it in on weekends. :)

I'm stre-e-e-e-tching to find one for yesterday - went with the mom's who walked to McD's to get icecream for the kids (baseball tourney).

Mrs Snark 05-05-2016 08:53 AM

I have embraced unsweetened almond milk for my coffee, which I think helps me stave off later sugar/junk carb cravings. Every time I buy the sweetened almond milk I really, really loooooooove it, but it definitely changes my cravings for the worst.

ennay 05-05-2016 11:07 AM

Mrs Snark I love unsweetened almond milk in my coffee! Won't drink it any other way.

I've been doing well overall, I am going to pick for yesterday making the decision to split my dinner in half before ds's baseball game. I knew that eating at 4:30 would not feel like enough when I got home at 9, but that waiting until 9 would have been overall too long. I am restructuring for next week - every wednesday will be like this. Mondays too to some extent

One good choice I made today is coming back to this forum and taking care of ME again. I lost successfully and even maintained for a minute, but then it all went downhill from there. I am back very close to my starting weight and I am ready to do this for the LAST time. I'm ready to put myself first again and stop trying to be everything for everyone.

thanks guys, I look forward to getting to know you!

Magicsusan 05-11-2016 03:28 PM

Oh, Vixsin, we know that well, most of us. Good luck and welcome back.

10,000 steps! That's amazing! Now that the weather's so fine I should get out more but suddenly I'm so busy!

But- I have been grabbing random food items (biberli, anyone?) because I've been so busy and it's really messing me up, so I made quinoa salad to take for lunch tomorrow. Just trying to maintain and not gain at least. A loss would be fab, though :\

ennay 05-15-2016 06:39 PM

I cooked the roast even though nobody will be home for dinner. It is the only day I had that kind of time and this way I will have lean rare roast beef all week for my lunches and probably at least one dinner.

Karencat 05-17-2016 05:24 AM

good choice for Dinner tonight -had egg white omelette chicken and spinach for dinner - very nice & not hungry after it!
Also danced with a friend for 55 minutes!

Magicsusan 05-27-2016 02:07 PM

Woke up around 4 this morning so I went for a jog. Was as least good to start the day feeling like I'd already accomplished something. I need that right now, as business and school (kids) are kinda stressful.
