  • Counting isn't all that bad
Hi. I am new here and 37 years old. I think counting calories is a really really GOOD thing for those of us that eat mindlessly and need to be more aware of what we are putting in our mouths. What, when and how much of it too. Some people may not need to do that and thats ok too. A year and a half agao I did lose 36 pounds on the Jorge Cruise plan, which involved counting, timing and visualizing your plate. It really did work. I then became pregnant and suffered depression and now need to lose 50 lbs. I am counting again and trying my best to be aware of why I eat and how much of it. I do believe that it will become second nature after a while so please do not give up. It takes quite some time to re-train your body and mind from something its been doing for years.

You are worth your own happiness...don't give up!
  • Hi Hermit Girl,

I remember you and I'm still around and still struggling.

I don't have any sage words of advice... except to say... that it's good to see you and to read you. So... stick around, okay?
