Welcome to the group Brian.

The fact that you have lost 120 lbs. speaks volumes to your motivation.

Would love to hear how you did it.

Thanks Leaf and Cat. I lost it with Weight Watchers. I've always said the easy part is losing the weight, the hard part is keeping it off.

I would also love to pass along if I can do it, anyone can. I was heavy for so long and just kept gaining. I love food and drink. I'm still trying to find the balance of great food and exercise. Which I guess you can see that gaining back 50 pounds I leaned more towards the food.

At least I know now that I have to get it off, where before I didn't care and since I'm so big, everyone was amazed at how much I really weighed. The breaking point for me was I was dizzy and lightheaded and a cardiologist gently but sternly told me most of his patients that see him or complain of this are in their "upper years". I was about to turn 40.

I started counting my points again this morning, I probably won't go back to the meetings as they really don't do anything for me anymore. I have to do this for myself and no one else, but if I can be out here to give and receive encouragement, it looks as if I've found something to replace the meetings, especially sitting here at work getting the boredom munchies.

Welcome aboard, Brian! If you haven't browsed the stickies in the Maintainer's Forum yet, make some time to do so. There's just a huge amount of wisdom in there - from people who've kept the weight off for years. There's all sorts of good stuff - info on setting goal weights, getting used to being thin, mental strategies for avoiding relapse, and dealing with the less-wonderful side of weight loss - the saggy body parts.

Jump on the monthly chat when you get a chance!

Saggy body parts? Yeah I know, just kidding. If I can keep it off for at least two years straight, I'm getting plastic surgery. No point in getting it done if I can't keep it off.
