Default The Dreaded Last 10 Pounds....

Well here I am, down to the last 10 pounds. I am very excited to be that close to my goal but also quite apprehensive as I hear all the time about how hard it is to lose that last 10 pounds. Anyone who has done it before have any tricks or tips to continue on the whole way and not get stuck? I have been at my goal weight for a lot of my past so it should work for me but not sure if I can there as well in my 40's now and hypothyroid which I was not in the past. Anyone care to share how the last 10 pounds went for them?

Hi Susan - I'm not there yet but my plan is to just keep doing what has worked; eat less, move more, and listen to my body.

Although I have a goal weight in mind I really don't want to obsess with that number. The bottom line for me will be how I look, how I feel and what I can maintain on about 2000 calories per day.

Nothing to share, but what a great position to be in! Just keep on doing what you're doing with the same level of intensity and I'm sure you'll be fine.

I upped my HIIT in the last ten pounds, and it really helped make a difference with those last pounds and with my shape. I actually settled at ten pounds below my original goal.

Congrats on what you've done so far!

Nothing changes dramatically at the 10 pound mark. But as you get thinner, each incremental amount you lose takes more time and effort. Also, I guess it depends on how you set your goal weight.

My original goal weight was 149, and losing *those* last 10 pounds wasn't so hard. I next had a goal weight of 139, which I met last year and that was a *lot* harder. Then I reset my goal weight to 129 and that was going very very slow.

But lt me tell you, I regained 10 lbs right quick over the holidays . I'm still working on getting back to where I was.
