Some are just really sensitive to those (sometime) potent vitamins. I think you are correct and assuming it was because you took them on an empty stomach. Rather than see if it happens again, I'd take them after I ate from now on.......unless of course, it states to take on an empty stomach.

CarrieLee- I have experienced the same thing two times during my first week. I realized that by taking the supplements prior to eating was causing the stomach cramps. I now eat my breakfast and take my supplements 30 mins after I eat and have not had the horrible pains again. Hope this helps!

I get a stomach ache when I take Pot/Cal on an empty stomach. If I eat a little and then take it, I'm all good. It's the potassium...

I had the same problem. My stomach cramps were mild, but noticeable. They only lasted for a few minutes and it wasn't every day. For me, it didn't make a difference if I had eaten before or not. I did ask my coach, but never got an answer. I'll ask again at my WI on Wed to see if she got any information.

I don't react well to some types of supplements- I think it has to do with the adhesive part of the vitamin. Perhaps you also have a sensitivity to these? It helps if I take them right in the middle of a meal- not after or before.
