I thought I would do another progress thread, my last one was when I was halfway to goal at 27 lbs lost.
As of today, I have lost 45 and a half lbs, and have only 8.8 lbs to goal (I rounded it up to 10 for the title
) Here's a quick summary of my journey so far:
I started this journey originally a year ago and stopped around Christmas time after losing about 16 lbs. During this time I quit smoking and focused on training at work. In April I revamped my diet due to finding out I had a gluten intolerance, I also started weighing daily again.
In May I started adding in work outs, 30 day shred and finding other stuff to do around the house for exercise. I joined a gym in the summer and played around with learning how to run and doing a weight lifting circuit about four days a week. I don't like endurance exercises and wanted to try and strength training, my weight wasn't moving anymore as well.
I started weight lifting and dropped some more weight, started building some awesome muscles. In September I started stalling again and almost came to the point where I was going to maintain at around 160 lbs. It then clued into me that I needed a structured eating plan.
That's when I went to Atkins, it's been almost a month on it and I've lost almost 12 more lbs since then. I ate similary to how the diet was so there wasn't much to modify, and it works well for me.
Here's some progress pics! (I take a lot of bathroom photos, it just makes it easier)
First is at
194.4, I feel like I don't recognize myself anymore. The second is me mid May when I started to lose the weight again, I think I was about
180-178. Third is mid to late June. I'll admit I am sucking in my tummy a bit, I think I was just trying to show the difference in my body in the wrong way, haha. I was in the
low 170's-high 160's. Fourth was taken Oct 6th, I was at
152.
Last was taken this morning at
148.8. Excuse the messy room, I was getting ready for work and my fiance was nice enough to take that from bed, haha. I love that I can fit my calves into boots now and buy clothes at regular sized shops. When I look at the first and last together, it's still hard to believe that was ME. I'm just so glad I took the action to better myself.
Thanks for all the support, 3FC! (And thank god my boobs never shrank!)
