Mel--I'd always heard you should have a maximum of 2400mg of sodium a day (less if you have high blood pressure or other health conditions that cound be affected by sodium). At least, that's the guideline for "normal" people on a 2000-2500 calorie diet. Of course, just like anything else, some people are more sensitive to it than others. I have friends who can eat fast food every day and be just fine, but when I was eating a little single serving of canned mac n cheese each day, the added sodium pushed my blood pressure up

Angie-- Congrats on your weight loss! You are doing so great

Thanks, Jilly --- at least that gives me some context. I've never known anything about sodium---so that helps a lot. Appreciate it! :)
Carbs, anyone? :) Mel |

And I live in a third floor walkup also, by choice. Don't like carrying things up the steps but it is wonderful when I get up here... a "fairlyland" at night when I can see the lights "forever." |
HI everyone!
Thanks everyone you guys are all so sweet here  Misti wow girl you do a lot of exercise already ..whew. What kind of exercises do you do? Maybe you need to change the type.. sometimes your body adapts with exercise like it does with food. Just an idea. ? Maybe you already mix it up I don't know but I thought I'd mention it in case. I got hubby out with me tonight for our first outside walking day! 40 mins and some uphill. I did great for the first 20 but after the big hill my legs were getting tired. ugh. ~ Angie |
