First of all, thank you all VERY much for the congratulations and wonderful comments. I hope you all know how much I appreciate them and how fantastic they make me feel.

I just wanted to do the “thank you”s first, otherwise I would be starting each individual reply with one.
I can’t wait for the Slimming and Health magazine to come out in stores next week. I want to show everyone in the stores my photos. I am SUCH a show off! I managed to show lots of people at yesterday’s Professional Development my before and after pics. They were really impressed, which was great. I also managed to show the lady at the bookstore my pics today and she gave me a big hug. That was really special because she has lost weight through WW and knows the struggle.
The website for the magazine is:

The Slimmer of the Year comp is currently under “Diet”, but it only has the info about the competition so far. The entrants and voting will be up on Wednesday morning our time, which is Tuesday afternoon/evening for most of you guys. They may even have a more direct link for the voting. I’ll post that one when/if I find out.
The holidays are still going pretty well. Hubby is off for just over a week now, which is lovely. We spent most of this morning looking around a children’s bookstore. I spent WAY too much on books for this term’s theme of Space. I had been having so much trouble finding books on the theme that I thought I would have to write my own. Luckily this store has a very different range of books, so I should be set for a while. Mind you… there is another wonderful children’s bookstore that I haven’t checked out yet. Oh dear. If it’s not new clothes, it’s books. Lucky hubby is patient with me.
I have added a few recipes to my website. They are basically just other people’s recipes that I have pinched or ‘tweaked’. Hopefully I’ll add more as I become more adventurous in the kitchen.
Kayley – It was lovely to hear about your time at the Medieval event. It sounds simply wonderful. Mind you, I am not sure I would have enjoyed the hassles you had getting there. I would be in trouble lately, as I have to go to the bathroom SO often. We would have been stopping every 20 minutes or so. Pity you didn’t have the camera with you. I would have loved to have seen pics.
I’m sure Andrew’s dad will love you. What is there not to love huh? You are such a special person and if he doesn’t see that then that is HIS problem. I worried SO much about meeting Neil’s parents and both of them just accepted me straight away. Neil had told me not to worry, but I just couldn’t help it. I look forward to hearing about the Venetian Festival… and the ‘dad’ encounter.
Mary – It is great that you are getting back on the wagon, before you really had a chance to even get fully off it. You have really just been ‘running alongside’ it, waiting for the opportunity to leap back on.
You mentioned decaffeinated green tea. I have only just started drinking green tea, as I don’t usually drink hot drinks, and I haven’t had tea in a LONG time. I originally got the tea to have as iced tea, but never got around to it. Now I am enjoying having it as a hot drink, as I am freezing all the time. I haven’t looked for decaffeinated green tea. I’ll have to see if I can get some. My favourite at the moment is ‘vanilla’ flavoured green tea. I do have to have a little honey in it though or it is too bitter for me. Just a tiny drizzle seems to be enough to take the edge off it.
Melissa – It is SO obvious that you are loving the swimming AND the walking. I can almost ‘see’ your smile from here when you talk about it. I am glad you have found some exercise that you enjoy.
Nancy – How is that filing coming along? I have SO much that I should be organizing, but it seems like such a mammoth task at the moment. I may just have to approach it in bits and pieces and chip away at it gradually.
You are SO right about me having unrealistic expectations of myself now that I have lost weight. I hadn’t really seriously considered that before you mentioned it, but I do have to forgive myself if I get a little tired now and then. I am still only ‘human’, even if I am half the human I used to be. Thank you for reminding me of that fact. Now I just need to type it up and post it where I can see it every day. Then maybe I’ll stop kicking myself.
Sassy – You just make sure you take care of your back! That’s an order! Well, it sounds as though you are actually making sure you DO look after your back, but I’m on holidays and just felt like using my ‘teacher’ voice. Seriously though, I am sorry that your back is hurting at the moment. I HATE having a sore back. It usually makes me not a very nice person to be around, because I just can’t get comfortable. I hope you have some relief soon.
I look forward to hearing which car you choose. I love the smell of a new car, and would love to get a new one as soon as the ‘new car’ smell wore off. Could you send me some of the new car smell in a bottle do you think?
Ammi – Glad to hear you are having some lovely weather. Ours is mostly clear, but VERY cold. About once a week we are having a wet day, but for winter, that’s not too bad.
Thank you for posting Sharon’s pics. It is great to be able to see the people who have become friends on here.
I’m glad you had a lovely day at the beach. You deserve to have so many wonderful days. I certainly hope that your family appreciates having such a beautiful wife/mum.
Well done on getting the smaller pjs. Do they have cute pics on them, or are they more subdued? The last pjs I bought were Winnie the Pooh ones. VERY cute and they looked great on our Triple B Day. I have a pic in the school newsletter that I want to show everyone, but we don’t have it up on the school website yet. Some of the kids in the newsletter (not my pic) haven’t been given clearance to have their pics on the internet, so we have to wait. I am a little ‘peeved’, as I want our pics to go up.
Annie – To be honest, I hadn’t noticed you were missing, so I didn’t have time to miss you. I can’t believe it has been a week since you posted! It only seems to be a couple of days, and because I don’t often get to post for a couple of days, I thought you were just busy for a little while. If I’d realized that it was a WEEK, I would have had the Mounties/police/dingoes, EVERYONE out looking for you. Sorry that I am not a very observant person. I’m glad you had a good time with your company. Did you just spend relaxing time together, or did you get out and about to check out some sights?
Good luck with the job interview! I will keep my fingers/toes/legs etc crossed for you.
Well done on those 3lbs gone!!!!
Valerie – I hope you get some relief from your bronchitis soon. It can’t be much fun trying to stay fit and healthy when you can hardly breath comfortably and are coughing all the time.
I am going to pick up some cranberry juice today when we shop. I have been reading your posts and I think that I may benefit from drinking cranberry juice. I am sure that I am holding too much fluid in my body, and I tend to have ‘bladder’ problems, so I figure it can’t hurt to try huh?
Brenda – I am looking forward to going and checking out your blog. I find it very enlightening to read other people’s thoughts. There are often SO many similarities to my own life.
I am glad you are making such a determined start to the next stage of your new lifestyle. It just shows your inner strength and commitment. It is always OK to ‘lapse’, as long as you don’t make it a permanent change.
Hpnotq – Well done on that 10lb mark!!!!! I am sure we will hear the cheers from here when you get to the 2s. I hope you are smiling as you wave those 10lbs goodbye.
Well, I think I’m all caught up now. I have to dash to get ready to go shopping. I hope you all have a wonderful start to your weekend.
Take care,
Zelma
