Default 300+ And Ready To Try Again.. #900

WELCOME !!!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

Motivational Monday
Tuesday Tips
Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it.
Thankful Thursday
FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight.
Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity
Share your Success Sunday

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.

We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.

WELCOME!

I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.

If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.

Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

Default Thank-you!!!

Dear Dogpal, Ammi, MariaLucia, Sharon, Zelma, Val, Xena, Crock, Kayley and anyone I might have missed -

Thanks so much for your sweet and caring thoughts. I SO MUCH appreciate your caring and prayers.

SHARON: Thank you for sharing about your autistic son - I know what you mean about "picking" my kids - one of our daughters from India is "special needs" also - she has microcephaly and cerebral palsy - but it's nothing compared to what AJ has - God led us to these kids and we just keep our head above water -

ZELMA - Here in the states the social worker trumps the Principal - and we are
definitely suing her - since I have a mental illness (bipolar with borderline personality disorder) they "picked" on me for "negative" raising of the kids - of course I'm negative - I have depression, mania, no borders, yadda yadda yadda - here in the States they have organizations that back up folks with mental illness - so we are suing for Defamation of Character among other things.

KAYLEY - the photos are simly GORGEOUS - thanks for sharing them!!!

To everybody else - I wish you love, peace and everything this world has to offer -

Be gentle with yourself - we are worth it!!

Love, Lori

Just a quick hello since I haven't posted all weekend.

Lori - You're situation is heartbreaking. I can't believe how strong you are.

Kayley - Lookin' good!!

I'll need to wait until tomorrow for a longer post. I haven't gotten my exercise in and it is already almost 11pm. Maybe I'll just do another 10 minutes to keep my commitment and call it an early night. I was supposed to do my strength training today, but we went to a play and were out longer than I expected.

Hey ladies! It’s been a long weekend. I had a take home midterm and I’ve been working on it all weekend. I weighed in on Friday… which is 2 days ahead of time for me and I weighed in at 352… I’m almost over that 350lb mark again… I’m gonna keep it under this time for sure! We’ll see what happens on Monday morning when I weigh again. I didn’t get a chance to weigh in this morning… I sorta forgot

Kayley– Wow! Criminal Justice! Good Luck with that! I have a friend who is graduating with me in June for Criminal Justice.

Dogpal – I found something that looks similar to the Boflex at Sears. It’s made by Wielder or something like that and it was only 300 bucks. I may consider that one, although today James found a 3-station gym called Iron Grip or something like that from Sports Authority that is about 600 that he has been eyeing. It’s on sale about 45% off from original price. Heheh he is going to go look at it tomorrow. We’ll see what happens. I’ll be excited to get something so I can get going on my Kick Start challenge for work. I have til June 8th. I wanna Kick some butt

AmmiUK – I am definitely over the moon with the weightloss, I just hope that it keeps moving in the right direction hehehe

MsCrockett – Congrats on the 3lbs gone! WOOHOO!

JuleeCees – JULEE!! Hey girl! You look wonderful! How you been? I haven’t been on AOL much lately, but I’ll try to get on sometime during the day and see if can find you. I’ve been rather busy UGH! Congrats on that setting that wedding date! I’ve been avoiding mine. Soon to be in-laws keep asking, and I keep putting off I’m wanna lose weight, I have the phobia about being a fat bride. I gotta stop doing that! Congrats on your big day!

I’ve gotta head to bed now ladies… I’ll try to be better with keeping up. I didn’t have a chance to go through all the posts since 897. WHEW! A lot of posting going heheheh! Keep up the good work ladies!

Here’s a quote for thought… don’t know who the author is tho…

Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can.

Take care ladies!

Good Morning All,

And what a wonderful morning it is. No sunshine, just rain, at least outside anyway. The morning is so wonderful because I had my WI this morning and I lost another 7 lbs I still can't believe it. There I was dreading getting on the scales, and just hoping I would see a 2 lb loss, and I got that lovely surprise of seeing 7 lbs gone. WOW, I am so happy

Crock - so in answer to your question when is my weigh in, it was today, and how am I doing, just fabulous thank you

Patti - how are the polls going over there about American Idol, who do they think is going to win?

Kayley - sounds like you had a really lovely weekend, and got some good exercise in too. Loved the photos, bet that was so romantic with Andrew. Thanks for posting the pics.

Xena - I am glad you found something to wear to the dinner. As for oh no she's not wearing the black pants again, I am just like that. I find a comfortable outfit and I live in it. I have 5 pairs of the same trousers so I can change them regularly (black) and then I just wear big baggy t'shirts with them, different colours each time, but normally a dark colour. I look forward to when I can lose the weight and start wearing a variety of clothes.

Val - hi I hope you can figure out how to make pictures smaller so you can put them on here. I love seeing everybody's pics be it of them, or scenery or whatever

Lori - gotta say I am loving seeing your posts, not only because it's good to see you here, but also because you are getting me in the christmas spirit already with your christmas tree picture

I didn't like to ask about your diet as I am sure it has been the last thing on your mind, but I was glad to see that you said that you would be trying again soon. Good for you

Nancy - sounds like you had a busy weekend, I hope you enjoyed the play you went to see.

Cyn - no worries about not replying sooner, thanks for letting me know about the desitin. Must say I have never heard of it, but I will definitely look into it. Sounds like it's brilliant stuff.

SueMarie - you aren't far from that 350 mark now, and I bet by the next time you weigh you will be under it. Good for you for saying you will never let yourself go over that again, I feel the same about 299 lbs, once I go under that it will be the last time I need to lose weight to get under it because I am not putting any weight back on. I am determined

Brandnewme - I see you started this latest thread but you didn't post. How are you doing, please write and let us know.

I am going to go get some breakfast now, so I will be back later, bye for now though,

Hugs,

Ammi

Hello everyone.

MariaLucia: I love the Spanish version and thank you for sharing it. You know the abandoned thing that your counselor spoke with you about is so true. I spent about 3 years too long with a former boyfriend because I felt like I was being abandoned. I am so happy that you are seeing it the right way so you won't stay in a bad relationship for the wrong reasons.

Ammi: Wow! Woo hoo -7 is so awesome! I am so proud of you and happy for you. Make sure that you change your ticker! You rock!

Zelma: I love my slow cooker. My hubby is a real meat eater and I throw in a roast, some peeled taters, carotts and yellow onion with garlic and lemon pepper. Let it cook all day and by dinner time voila! I hope your soup was as yummy as it smelled cooking!

Crock: Woo hoo on your -1 extra pound where ever you decide to put it!

Kayley: The pictures you shared were so beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us. Glad that you had fun on the weekend. Congrats at being back at 290! Woo hoo.

Val: Glad to see you posting. How is little Simon's paw? Stay safe.

Lori: Bug huge hugs to you. I am so glad that you guys aren't taking things laying down. It is horrible how this has made you feel and put your life into such an uproar. Good luck with that.

Suemarie: I can see you kicking butt now. Good luck with whatever exercise machine you guys decide on. Let us know how you like it and what it is.

Brandnewme: Come out, come out where ever you are. I saw you started this thread. Come post with us. We miss you.

Well everyone, I'm pretty tired and should head off to bed now. Blessings to everyone.

Patti - you are naughty getting on those scales again, but hey, at least you saw a wonderful loss of 3 lbs rather than gaining back that pesky 1 lb, so I'll let you off, Thanks for the congrats on my 7 lbs lost, still feeling pretty thrilled about it I must admit.

I know Chris is a good singer, but he's just like any other rocker. Now if Taylor or Elliot were to win, they are individuals, kind of like Neil Diamond, or Barry Manilow, you wouldn't have to think twice about who you were hearing on the radio.

Annie - thank you for being proud of me, I have to admit I am feeling pretty proud of myself right now too. Now I just have to figure out how to make sure I can carry on losing, but at a more sedate rate

Luan - nice to see you posting,

Hugs,

Ammi

LOL I am laughing at the staying off the scales comments... I tried the weekly weigh-ins and HATED it. Since my scale is at work, for me that is the "good" part of Monday rolling around so I can weigh in again! It drives me nuts not knowing. Besides, I find the opposite to be true of what most people seem to think. Of course there are ups and downs on the scale but if I haven't weighed for a WEEK and am up it is discouraging... and when I drop a pound or two I pretty much know they will likely be back temporarily in a day or so and then drop off, gone forever!!
