Okay, I did it. I think I have managed to read all the posts I missed while I was off program and off the computer and on ebay. Gee I hope I dont slack off again, it is murder trying to keep up with all that goes on here and now I have to go do my other thread.

I think I figured out what has been wrong with me the past few days. I am on major psych meds. and I am coming off of one that has to be gradually reduced and coming on to another that has to build up in my system. Well, I thought that was what was wrong, why I was so anxious and shakey and feeling unnerved....so I am getting my meds out tonight and going through my box and stuff and I realize I did not put my tranquilizer in my med box for AM or PM only 1/2 at noon. No wonder I have been such a wreck! So hopefully when my meds straighten out and I start taking everything right again, I will feel better and less disconbobulated.

It is certainly no excuse for drinking a soda which I did not do today...I just ate that damn orange. My dad had peeled two for mom and she was like "why two" so I offered to take one off her hands and into my gullet.

But there is always tomorrow. Besides I ate about a half pound of broccoli at lunch today so I should get to eat an orange if I want to. I could not believe all the broccoli on my plate. Yes, of course I clean my plate. I cannot seem to let go of that one. Any tips out there??

kayley--LOL Sometimes I think I'm the queen of trying again...but that's okay at least I continue to try.

Garnetfairy--ooooh I get kidnapped by ebay sometimes too...I think they need a support group for that LOL.

Hippievanlady--Thank you for the word of encouragement.

Ammi--I hope you get to feeling better soon...

As for me, I had a pretty OP day. Slim fast for breakfast, salad and wrap for lunch, salad and one slice of pizza for dinner, with a slimfast snack bar and some dried fruit for my snacks for the day. Didn't get all my water in, but...

OOOOhhhhhhh I bought a Gazelle Freestyle. I LOVE IT! It's fun and doesn't feel like a workout until you get off of it...Soooo, since it is quite I should have no problem doing it after the girls are asleep. I'm so excited. It does make you work though.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow.

princesspuffypants 03-01-2006 01:59 AM

hey all - today was a little more fun. we got to do eyebrows. basically just filling in and shaping with shadow so they look correct. it was fun because we got to work on each other. we learned sanitation as well so we dont pass germs - a very important thing when you are working with eyes and mouths :). i have to read tonight - 10 pages on eyebrows. did you think it was possible?

so i had a small NSV today too. i bought this adorable yellow halter sundress at the end of the summer last year. when i bought it it was too tight, but i kept it anyway - hoping. well just by chance i tried it on today. and it fit. i could bear to wear a body shaper with it because altho it fits my belly sticks out a bit, but still, it fit. and that made me happy :)

also, i got to talking to one of the girls in my class, and she was talking about eating fried foods. shes young - 19, so i joked "enjoy it while you can, skinny girl". she laughed, but told me that she had been doing WW since she was 16 and has lost about 50 lbs total. i was shocked. i told her that i was doing WW too. it was nice to relate to someone like that.

ok back to eyebrows.

voodoo1 03-01-2006 04:20 AM

Luan, any tips for concealing bald bits in your eyebrows? :o No I never knew there was so much to know about them either!
Kaley, glad you & Andrew are ok now, its hard enough dieting without men being silly!!! :joker: I will get hubby to take some photos of the jeans when he gets up, he's on nights this week, and I'll try & email you them.
Garnet, I did about the same as you, a bad February, but we're back here and getting ourselves into healthy food/lifestyle.:)
I had a kind of NSV, I rode a horse for the first time in over 20 years!!! He was a big chestnut, though he looked 'fast' he was a 'plodder' which suited me fine!!!! my old horse scared me half to death, he was so fast and frisky. I did a sitting trot, rising trot and some 'steering' work, the half hour was over too fast, the instructor was really good & encouraging, but when it came to dismounting I tried it without a mounting block and my legs seized up, I was stuck with one leg half over the saddle back and unable to move it back or down!!!! :o The instructer and his wife had to push me back on and get me to the blocks!!!! The back of my thigh is bruised, a really big one, as big as my hand and I have finger marks on my leg!!! I felt so silly and FAT & USELESS.:o After a week my inner thigh tendons/ligaments are finally back to normal. I will do it again, once we find a stables near us, most closed and became livery stables as there are so many new rules & regs for riding schools now.
I am off to drink my carrot juice, hope you are all well,
xxxsharon:grouphug:

voodoo1 03-01-2006 04:23 AM

I forgot, I will get hubby to put the pictures of me riding onto the photo page, though fortunately he was too busy laughing to take any of me being pushed back onto the horse!!!

jillybean720 03-01-2006 08:12 AM

pictures, pictures, LOVE everybody's pictures!

My scale is being particularly unfriendly yesterday and today--it says I am up 5 POUNDS from last week :o I know it's not 5 real pounds...I'm sure I'm retaining water from all the crap I ate over the weekend, but it's still annoying that I'll have to go to my TOPS metting tomorrow night and announce a huge gain when I'm sure it'll be gone in a few days, ya know? And I ate less than 700 calories yesterday, and yet the scale STILL didn't budge this morning from what it said yesterday morning (not that I expected to lose all 5 pounds overnight, but usually at least some of it goes!). Oooh well...I'll drink tons of water today and hope that makes a dent in it.

Tashabella 03-01-2006 08:28 AM

Thanks for the information, Lilion. This might be a dumb question, but how can an IUD affect the heart? I’ve never heard of that.

I have been reading about the IUD. I’ve never used one, but thought I might check into it just for the bleeding (don’t need it for birth control). I also have read about the ablation. I had another rough night last night ~ if it doesn’t stop, then maybe it’s time to start checking into these options. Like I said, my doctor seems more interested in delivering babies. Maybe this is something I will take up with the new doctors when I switch over to my husband’s insurance.

I know something weird is going on with me. I have lost 10 pounds in the last week. I’ve been OP, but that shouldn’t let me lose 10 pounds. It never has before.

MsCrockett 03-01-2006 08:51 AM

Good Morning Girls.

Had a good day yesterday, I feel good about today also,, I will be going grocery shopping tomorrow,, bout out of everything,

Honi~ Gazelle, that sound good,,, I want an eliptical or gazelle really bad,, I cant take a lot of impact on my right leg, sooo These are my two options...

teahoney 03-01-2006 09:12 AM

Tasha - That is weird. Did you get off track and recently get back on?? Maybe it's a lot of water weight. That's all I can think of? Have you been sick? Are you feeling okay.

*****************
Good Morning ladies. Today is the first day of a new month. We often think of new months as new beginnings and are able to forgive ourselves of whatever bad we did the month before. lol Well, my goal for this month is to lose 10 pounds. I'm already off to a bad start because the scale says I gaine 2 but then I remembered that my period should be coming soon and I start gaining days before. So I won't have an official weigh-in for at least another week.

I didn't get to exercise yesterday but I did walk around my house in my new sneaks to help break them in. Today I plan on doing Turbo Jam. Lord help me! lol

MsCrockett 03-01-2006 09:18 AM

tea~~ I gain anywhere from 3 to 5 lbs with Aunt Margaret..

Lilion 03-01-2006 09:51 AM

And the Scale Says...

Howdy all! It's WI Day!

And the news was good...although 2 lbs higher than yesterday...246.4! It's only 1.8 down but I'll take it! I was going to leave my slider at 248...after all, I didn't increase it when it went to 251 last week...but I just can't do it! Besides - I am determined to move it even further down next week!

Tashabella: YOU ROCK! 10 lbs! Don't worry about it...maybe it's your body getting rid of fat and water together! You get the obscene carrot dance! :carrot: As to the IUD, it's the same problem that makes me have to take mega doses of antibiotics in order to go to the dentist. (TMI ALERT) Basically when you have a heart murmer you have to avoid introducing bacteria from your various "bodily orrifices" into the blood stream because it can take hold and begin to grow in the backwash areas around the defective valve. An IUD has little strings the constantly hang outside the cervix and so is a constant "bridge" between the vagina and the uterus that would allow bacteria to enter. Since there is a big chance of blood exchange in the uterus...you get the idea. I was very disappointed as it solved two problems for me. Now I have to either keep taking pills or have my tubes tied...decisions, decisions.

Crockett: The eliptical sure give you a major workout! Thing kicks my butt in about 5 minutes! But it is low impact. Bikes are good for low-impact too.

Jilly: Water may really show you a difference. I had this chicken and stuffing cassarole for dinner last night. I stayed under on points, but with the 2 lb gain from Tues. morning I have to wonder if it had lots of sodium. I'd WI again tomorrow if I were you.

Sharon: Don't feel bad about that horse problem! Be proud you went riding again! I haven't been on a horse in years! I may have to do that with my son this summer....he's never been horseback riding.

Countess: I LOVE labs! My husband doesn't though...he's had experience with their sometimes theiving ways! They do tend to steal anything that isn't nailed down at times. My favorite puppy at puppy kindergarten is an adorable lab named Freud. (His mommy is a psychology student!) They are just soooo sweet!

Everyone else: Must run! Time to check out other threads and then get my butt to work.

Have an happy, healthy OP day everyone!

kayleystar 03-01-2006 10:48 AM

Good morning all. In a very foul mood, so not much to report today. I worked out for today, and that makes my 9th day in a row. :) I did it early, since because of my crazy schedule today, there's going to be no time for me to work out, and when I get home tonight, it'll be fairly late, and I'm going to be pretty tired. I won't get so lucky like last week, and get both of my Wednesday classes cancelled! :( lol...

Well, I hope you all have a great day.

LChin1978 03-01-2006 01:18 PM

Hey Everyone! I'm new to the boards and weigh about 313 right now. I'm 27, divorced mom of a 4 year old girl and 10 month old boy. My dr is really helping me out with it this time, she changed my depression meds, put me on lasix and a potassium supplement. I ended up losing 11lbs from thursday to monday! It's great! I go back on the 13th and we'll see if I lost anymore :) Thanks for the welcome! Laura

AmmiUK 03-01-2006 01:26 PM

Hello All,

Well it's a snow day here today. I swear this country has a couple of inches of snow and everything grinds to a halt. So the girls didn't go to school and I didn't get to walk to the shops. Oh well, at least I got to exercise today, and didn't use the girls being off school as an excuse not to lol.

Kayley - it's awful isn't it when you have to watch things for school that upset you. Caleigh had to watch a film in school recently about the way the Jews were treated by Hitler, and she came home and told us about it. She was crying, and said she cried in school too. Apparently a lot of the girls, even the teacher too were crying. I hope what you saw didn't bring you down for too long.

2loseinit - I am so pleased for you that your weight hasn't stopped you going on all the rides you wanted to in Orlando. I am a huge fan of rides too but unfortunately I can only fit on the odd one or two over here. My big reward for losing weight will be going to a theme park for an overnight stay, with the family of course and having a two day pass to the park. I want to ride all the rides until I am nearly sick LOL.

Garnetfairy - losing 20 lbs in January is awesome, it kinda makes up for not losing anything in February. I only lost 11 lbs in January, not sure about February yet because I weigh the first Monday of every month. I hope to see a good loss, but am not holding my breath. So anyway, don't worry too much about your February, you did brilliantly in January and that's the main thing. I am sure you will do well this month too.

I am sorry you have to hear your parents fighting, mine used to fight all the time and I did what you are doing, put music on loud and tried to ignore it.

Is there any chance of you moving out into your own place sometime soon so you don't have to worry about them fighting and your lack of privacy and all?

Countess - well done on resisting those pizzas. I am not sure I could have, they are my all time fave junk food, mmmm.

Lilion - congrats on doing 5 minutes on the eliptical machine. I am the same when I do my Salsasize, I am constantly watching the countdown on the screen lol. Good for you for using the kitchen timer and not fixating on the eliptical's counter!!

Crock - great to see your pic on your avatar, I love that photo of you. Hope to catch you for a chat later.

Brandnewme - STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES  Seriously they are evil things and they have so much power to bring our moods down and sabotage our diets. Forget what the wicked thing said, and try to stick to weighing when you are meant to, no early peeks ok

Catherine - oh my, Mango pie, is that as delicious as it sounds? Good for you for having a treat, you have worked so hard to get where you are, you deserve a treat now and then.

Amber - I am feeling much better now thanks. Seems I missed reading about your recent loss. I am so sorry. Times aren't easy lately are they? I hope you are ok.

Woohoo on the Gazelle Rider, I want to get one for my birthday in July, they look wonderful, and I know Felicia said her husband loves theirs. You love yours, so I am determined to get one now. I can use it while I watch TV :D

Luan - ok eyebrow question, how on Earth do you get both exactly the same? I don't bother with my own, but my girls both pluck theirs, especially Caleigh who has a monobrow normally lol. Neither can get them looking the same though, is there a trick to it?

Well done on the NSV, mind you, you made me shiver talking about halter neck dresses, it's freezing here and even the thought of a summer dress is terrible lol.

Jill - as I said to Brandnewme STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES :D I know you know that most of that weight is water weight, so just ignore it. You are being good, you are exercising, you are dieting, so any gain in those circumstances can never be a fat gain.

Tasha - I keep forgetting to tell you that I love your photo, it's so nice to put a face to people.

Well done on the 10 lbs in a week loss!! It might not be the norm, but enjoy it, I know I would :D

Tracey - what is Turbo Jam, if it's an exercise DVD it sounds way too energetic for me lol.

I love your signature line saying 100lbs seems insurmountable but that losing 10 lbs 10 times you can do. It's such a positive and true statement. I think I will write that out and stick it on my fridge!!

Laura - hello and :welcome: Looking forward to learning more about you, and will be interested to see what weight you lose after that intial big drop. Good luck!

Ok its time for me to go make tea, so bye for now, and I hope everybody is having a good day.

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

Thanks, Ammi. I know it's primarily water and not fat, but my frustration comes in that I have to fess up to such a large gain when I go to my TOPS meeting tomorrow night. I have to weigh in--no getting around it! I just hate having those false red marks in my weight book, but I joined the group for the accountability, so I don't want to skip the meeting (plus I have to file my renewal paperwork tomorrow night, so I can't skip!). I can tell myself whatever I want to justify the number on the scale at home, but it's a whole different story in a group setting
