Thanks for the advice Nancy. But right now I have no appetite it was just a stupid move to eat the candy, not hunger, probably more old habit and self-sabotage (sp?) But I am putting it behind me (probably literally, ha ha)
I already had dinner no problem and I have sugar free fat free jello for if I get hungry later on.

Thank you for the advice and concern....I love the people on this thread !!

Just popping in to say a quick Hello! I've been busy baking up a storm today. Lots of low fat goodies- whole grain soda bread, carrot-pinapple muffins, banana muffins and some cininmon raisin soda muffins. I made most of the muffins in my new silicone mini-muffin pans- I like that they are so tiny...a lot easier to eat one then only eating half of a regular sized muffin. I was starting to get desperate for things I can nibble at when my tummy isn't feeling too good- which is most of the time...and crackers just don't cut it anymore after 5 years of this. I have been trying to eat a small thing of low fat yogurt every morning with a little cereal...my one cat goes crazy when I get yogurt out and has to have a little on the lid.

Christine - all those muffins sound delicious, can you send some my way please  Seriously good on you for baking some low fat treats, and I am sure they will be much more enjoyable then crackers.

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

Ammi - What program are you following for your weight reduction?

AmmiUK 02-01-2006 08:03 PM

Garnetfairy - I follow the WW 123 Success points plan. It's an ancient plan, I first got the info in 1997. It works really well for me, I just need to carry on losing when I get to 30 lbs lost instead of getting lazy and giving up. The best part of WW for me is being able to eat whatever food I want as long as I stick within my points range. No more living on celery. If I want chocolate, or pizza or a burger I can have it. Mind you I leave those foods until I am well into my diet. Right now I would want to eat a whole pizza instead of just a slice lol.

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

my dad didnt think I had enough to eat so he made me a filet mignon. 240 calories!!! but I had to eat it because it was so nice of him to do it and he bought them special and had one left over which he made for me tonight. Damn, my calorie deficit is almost gone now. Now I have to do WATP!

MsCrockett 02-01-2006 08:50 PM

Well, I just got back from my criminal justice class...was a lot of fun! :) Also got some info on what Mom can do about enforcing the back child support my dad owes. Lucky for him, I'm 19, so it's not building up anymore, but he's got so much back support that he owes, it's insane. It would really help out with my schooling if he would pay us what he owes! I think my interview went really well today! It was given by the office ladies, and they like me, and I made them laugh. It's really probably only a matter of if my schedule of classes will work for them. I should know something by Friday. OH! I got Andrew to agree to go see "Rent" with me at the dollar theater. He was SO against going and seeing a musical! Now to just convince him to go see "Memoirs of a Geisha"! Didn't get to work out tonight. I could now, if I wasn't so TIRED...ugh. First thing in the morning, though! :)

princesspuffypants 02-01-2006 09:56 PM

*drumroll please* the scales today show....

a 3.4 loss!!!!

i almost cried!

Julee - good luck with your weigh in tonight. my thoughts are with you! Where do you weigh in at? i will be going to school out your way at the end of the month and need to find a local meeting. i like weighing in at the same time. its a false sense of security.

Ammi - have you thought about looking on ebay for the updated information with the WW winning points plan? im sure you can find it. I have an extra slider and complete food companion that my friend gave to me before i started and bought my own that i would be happy to send you. i would hate for you to not have current information simply because of something small like finances. i dont know how much good a US book would do for you, but you are welcome to it if you would like - i'll even cover the postage :) you're worth it!

other chicks!! im sorry i didnt reply to everyone, but i hope that you all had a losing day! im off to make dinner.

make good choices :)

Luan, that is FANTASTIC! You are doing a super job!

My BIGGEST NSV to date

Hi Everybody.

Well, it FINALLY happened! Everyone who's said anything nice about my weight, or absence of it, has already known I was really working at it and working out, so while I appreciate it and know that they're sincere, it's just not totally spontanious. I missed ANYone on Bill's side of the family (whom I haven't told) saying a single word at Christmas time, which is part of my furious motivation to lose another 40 by Easter. ANYWAY, I went to the local pizza shop tonight to get a pizza for Bill (who was probably greatful not to have to face chicken yet again.) I know the folks that own the place since their daughter works @ the barn & she used to ride my horse before he went lame, but I haven't seen them in a while. I walked in the door and the woman did a double take on me, her eyes got wide and she said "wow", that I looked great, lost weight, yadda yadda - and I tell you what - isn't that the GREATest!? Talk about a quick trip to :cloud9: ! I wasn't even thinking about it when I walked in, I was just thinking "Great - I have to smell the pizza all the way home...."

Hi Julee * On scale obsession, no math required. The lowest reading is ALways the most accurate! :D Anybody wanna argue??? :jig: *** :bravo: on the 16 Blazer & baggy sweats! Isn't that fantastic!?!

Lilion * Loved the cartoon! Loved your sweet poochies, too! I would have had to call them Carbon & Copy, tho.:D Or maybe just called them both Xerox. Do you mean you can actually tell them apart without checking their parts? They both look like Joy wrapped in happy fur!

Christine * My problem with all those wonderful muffins is that once I had one, they'd all be in danger. I think I can smell them from here.... sigh. That many carbs would send me into a tailspin for Days. The THOUGHT of that many carbs is dangerous.

Zelma * :carrot: :cb: :cp: on your 5 more pounds down! I don't know how you do it so close to goal! I mean, it has to be easier to lose weight when we start out at higher weights - to do what you've done and still keep burning at that rate is awesome! Carrot worthy even! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :D I really hope when you get to goal that you won't drift away from us. You've done something special and personally, you inspire me in a way that words or even dreams can't. I'm (virtually) speechless!

Garnet * That filet was solid protein & vitamins. It had to taste great, too. Just cuz we're losing weight doesn't mean we have to stop enjoying food, it just means we have to be more sensible about what we enjoy, and that beef was a good thing! Don't fret over that handful of cals if you can help it. Besides, if you don't put enough cals in, your body stops burning as much. I recently read a study that said if you hit a plateau, that's what's happened, and you can allow yourself to go back up a bit, say 2-3 pounds, and then start kicking it again. So really, when we slip or have just a mini-binge (I'm not talking about the extreme damage I'd do to Christine's muffin stash given the chance) we really aren't doing ourselves tons of irrepairable harm like we think. Nancy had a really good point about the healthy calories, too. Maybe if you just skip the chocolate part tomorrow?;) BESIDES - You just kicked another 2 pounds to the curb - Yee-haw! :hat: :hat: :hat:

It's so great to read about all these successes! And I sure can relate to the little backsteps, too, but we keep movin' on! Did I ever mention that I used to start my driving shift with a bearclaw & coffee EVERY day? It wasn't even really breakfast, just a wake-up snack. Then I found out that a bearclaw has 920 calories!!! Can u imagine?

May we all have a carrot worthy day!!! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :cb: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: ...I love banana man, too!

***KAYLEY! LUAN! You two snuck posts in on me! FANTASTIC posts! You're both really rockin! Congratulations to you both!!!

kayleystar 02-01-2006 10:06 PM

Valerie, that is GREAT! I would be literally FLOATING out of the pizza place! No one's really told me anything yet...at least not without me mentioning something first, about how I lost weight...except for Andrew. He always tells me that I'm looking (and feeling different). Keep it up!!!

princesspuffypants 02-01-2006 10:10 PM

Kayley - you are totally an inspiration! you have been here a month and you are ROCKING. i have been here since september. i know that when i dont come here tho, im totally less accountable. i would much rather have something good to report than something dumb and self sabotaging!
