Default 30 Minutes Exercise a Day in August 2005

30 Minutes Exercise a Day in August 2005

Here we go....

Our aim is to:

1. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day for the month of July

2. Support/Motivate each other

3. Feel empowered by exercise!!!!

Post your exercise daily. Any deliberate exercise counts, meaning don't include every day activities like walking to work, but post your activity for this challenge. I'll try to post 'roll call' regularly. Every little helps, so post even if you only got in 10 minutes! Pat yourself on the back and KEEP GOING! Good luck everybody and Happy Exercising!

Monday, August 1 - Spent two hours walking the neighborhood with my son doing his paper route collections. It may have been stop and starts, but it was two hours in the humidity, hoofing up some hills!

Come on chickies - let's get moving and blast our way through August!!!

Way to go Doxiemom,

Thanks for taking over. If we take turns every month then no one has to do it always. I appreciate it.

I swam laps for 30 minutes today and did weight lifting. Kind of slow day cause I'm tired.

Blessings all, we can do this

If you don't mind, I would like to join in on this.
I've made the decision to ignore the scale for a while, and concentrate on upping my exercise (as I am being a total failure at losing for the last 4 months or so). I have quite a few health issues and as its winter here I can't do the deep water walking I was doing in summer, so my goal is to work my way up with other exercise to 30 minutes a day. I won't make it at first, but its a goal! Posting here will encourage me to keep going.

So here goes:
Monday 1st: 11 minutes on the exercise bike.

A huge, huge welcome to you Hippygoddess! We'd love to have you no matter how much you exercise.

Well for Tuesday the 2nd of August I weighed myself and did my monthly measurments. I am very disappointed by the results for last month and I believe it was because of my eating. So, I posted in the #'d forum and I will post it here. I am recommitting myself to getting healthy starting TODAY!

I swam 30 min. of laps, 10 minutes of kickboard, 20 minutes of water situps and water weights, 100 situps out of the water. If I feel like it later I may ride the recumbant bike for a bit and I just bought a new DVD called Get fit with "Hip Hop" LOL Wonder if I can do it. It is a ten minute workout or you can do all 3 10 minute workouts or 2 of them what ever you like all on the same DVD. Wish me luck.

Blessings,
Dogpal

Default Tues 2nd / Wed 3rd

Tuesday 2nd August: 15 minute walk + 11 minutes on the exercise bike
That doesn't sound much but its more than I've been able to do anytime so far this winter, so I'm taking it as a victory!

Leanne

Addition to that:
Wednesday 3rd August: 15 minute walk + 15 minutes on the exercise bike = 30 minutes (woohoo!)

PS the "hippygoddess" thing was a joke nickname between myself and a friend - you can call me Leanne hehe

I'm in, if that's okay.

I've been doing a half hour of aerobics and a half hour of yoga lately. That's what I did today.

Here's hoping for another 30 minutes of sweatin' tomorrow

Look at us go!!

Even though I think my head cold has blown into a full raging sinus infection, I did walk last night. I didn't go to my water aerobics class as I don't think there's a bone in my body that doesn't ache, but I walked for 30 minutes.

Roll call for August 2:

Doxiemom
Dogpal
Leanne
Mipsie
BrokenButterfly (I'm sure you're out there!!)

I hope you don't mind if I join in too.

So far this month I have been able to do over 30 mins of walking each day. I am hoping to get in some pilates but haven't been that motivated to throw that in too.

Yes, I'm out there Yesterday I managed to do 45 minutes. I did a 20 minute walk (It started to rain!) and I worked with some weights and did crunches.

It look likes its going to rain again, so I'll be stuck inside exercising tonight, methinks.

Hi guys,

Nice to see the room filling up! I love it. Today the 3rd of Aug. I swam for my normal 60 minutes of laps etc. Rode the recumbant bike 10 minutes.
