4) Track before & after photos(?), weight, and measurements

well i wasnt sure if I was going to get an answer anytime soon so I decided to just do my measurements, photos, weight- the whole nine. Here goes:

I got depressed when I weighed, then I realllly got depressed when I looked at my before pictures :( . Anywhoo, that's why I'm here, to change all that.

well ONLY1SPECIALK what i did was used a site where my pictures are posted (photosite.com)... i guess they call that a picture hosting site. anyways lol. if you have one of those (there's many others...the names escape me...they're photoblogs). then i went to the specific pictures and left clicked then went to properties tab where i can copy the location which'll be www._______/______.jpg (well of course they'll be words there instead but what i'm saying is it should end in a picture format (jpg, gif...etc). Once you've copied that. When you go to the reply button on the top of our forum and get to the reply box there's a mountain icon that says "insert image" when you put your cursor over it. so then you would click that once, past your location, then click it again. you'd then repeat that process over (finding the location for each pic...etc etc) until you've posted however many pics you want. hope this was clear. :o

Goals for six weeks
 
Well guess I should post some goals :shrug: hmmm...
- 3 days of exercise: 1 cardio, 1 stretch, 1 weights (I'm doing none right now, so after I accomplish that I'll work myself back up to when I could do 6)
- Staying within calorie intake (I didnt recieve the plan I'll be following yet so I'll just do this for now)
- Drinking 6-8 glasses of water everyday (I have a habit of keeping this up every other day for some reason :lol: )
- Trying to find another avenue for emotions (loneliness, anger and boredom mostly)

:) Good Morning, so far so good...the 1st and 2nd days I ate properly, drank about 80-100ozs of water and got some exercise...and although I wish the scale would stop fluctuating...it say 299 again...and that is sooo much better than the 303 that I did see...guess it was just the difference in time of day and eating dinner and all that good stuff...today is my day off so I am off to run some errands...be good, stay on plan and I will update some exercise later

seems like you're using the right format ONLY1SPECIALK but something's wrong with the actual url that you're placing in b/w the img brackets (last thing in url should be dot(.)pictureformat (example:www.XXX/xxx.jpg or gif...)
theotherjen your weight is going to keep fluctuating...thats just what it does from day to day depending on what you eat the sodium in it, when you ate etc. i understand your frustration though ;)

Are you guys on a certain diet? I just calorie counting (healthy choices). On my busy work week, I might average 1000-1200 cal per day, but I limit myself to no more than 1500 cals per day. Sofar so good with everything (exercise, diet, and water-96oz). I think I might try for a gallon of water once or twice a week.

Theotherjen: Don't stress over the scale, you know you're doing everything right (diet, exercise, water). I once weighed 3 times in one day---down in the morning---up by afternoon---and back down by bedtime. If you have to weigh, just do it once a week. Then you will have just 1 day of stress instead of a whole week worth of stress :lol: .

Right now I'm not following a certain diet. I'm just making sure I eat every few hours. and keeping a food log. I wish to follow the Michael Thurmond plan and give that a shot. But I'm still waiting for the package to arrive. I need to see if it's simple enough to follow because I have no time to study for classes and study an eating plan! If all else fails i can just re-sell it on ebay....it was selling like hotcakes there! hahaha I need to tweek my eating a bit as well as incorporate some more water. As far as exercise I havent' conquered that beast as of yet.

Im trying to stay below 1500 cal. with no fast food or junk food...

I normally do weigh once a week on fridays, but I weighed on the 1st to give me a start for the Slim in 6 and it threw me off. I am better now though :D

I did swim for about an hour this evening (June 3rd) and it was mostly laps

ExtrinsicRapture: I remember thinking about Thurman Body Makeover when it first came out, most of the reviews I found (internet) thought it was to much planning. So, I decided to pass, but I hope it works for you.


Theotherjen: I always did want to learn how to swim, I might learn later after I lose some more weight.

ONLY1SPECIALK: Swimming is fabulous, you must learn!!! I was basically taught by the good ol sink or swim method, but just moving in the water is good exercise in itself :)

Ladies, it is HOT. Its like 95 out here and I had to help my sister move her stuff out of a place with no A/C...well, no electricity...so I got my exercise walking up and downstairs, carrying furniture and packing boxes...took like an hour or two...I count that as exercise for today

I hope you all are doing well...stay cool :)

Taking my day of rest. Yesterday, I ate too much or more than I wanted to calorie wish. But that is how I get in trouble, I found something good to eat that is low in calories and I continue to eat it cause it was so good, now I've gone over my calorie limit. :p


Theotherjen: sink or swim :lol: , I'm worried I might continue to sink. Anyway, one day I will learn. I'm going to add that to my "To Do List" within the next 5 years.

Well I am still OP...and exercising for a change. I love these challenges cuz they really keep me thinking and on track. I know I will have a pretty sweet loss this week and I am changing my WI to fit in with this challenge to keep things simple. Soooo, I will be on the scale in the morning and I should have some pretty good news to report :crossed:


Rosie and ONLY1- I know y'all are gonna get right back on track...don't even stress about it :) You'll just know better next time.

Doing another day of Pilates, that stretching seems to help my leg and tomorrow I'll be back with regular exercies (hopefully :) )

Also, I'm thinking of moving towards lo-carb dieting. I'm more in control of my eating when I reduce my carbs.

Okay well yesterday went fine on my new plan. Today I ate WAY too many carbs. I had like 2 bagels. Okay may not seem like much but we all know bagels are HUGE. I'm not in huge despair. It was just a high level day today. I worry about so much. And I have the worst migraine. I couldnt even go to class today. The light was giving me this piercing feeling in my head. It's felt like someone has their palms at my temple and is just pressing hard in an effort to flatten my brain lol. I was supposed to do some pilates or even stretching myself but this headache isnt cool and as it got hotter it got worse for me. Well onward to tomorrow...wish me faith lol :devil:

My eating was terrible yesterday, actually I was "good" all the way up to 8PM. I only had time to eat breakfast before work (no lunch) and I was depressed about how my blinds for my house turned out that when I got off work (7:30pm), I just ate and ate.

Rosie- I know exactly how you feel. I have had migraines since I was very small and some days I just can not function between the light sensitivity, the nausea and the blurred vision. Staring at a computer for 10 hours a day just don't happen. Its all I can do to get home, take a super hot bath and go to bed. Exercise just has to wait sometimes. Peppermint oil seem to help to relieve the pain and will relax you. At least it does for me :D I hope you are feeling better now though

Well the migraine's lessened. Still remnants of headaches. Yesterday was an okay eating day, still need to get a hang off this particular eating plan. Aside from that one day I exercised the other day...I still havent done otherwise. Maybe later today. Thanks for the well wishes. but with all the stress and b.s. and i'm sure i'll have plenty of other migraines.

Good Morning Ladies...here is the update as I promised:

Basically I am staying on plan and all is going well...I am eating clean...no fast food (except for the occasional bean burrito), no junk food (except popsicles @35 cal each) and lots of water. Exercise has been going really well, except now my body is trying to sabotage me. Not to whine, but I hurt. I seem to have always had a love/hate relationship with my girl bits, but right now it is one of those hate weeks. Not to bore you or TMI you, but I am going to see my doctor on Thursday about it all. I got off the pill last March to try to have a baby. Well that hasn't happened and for the last month and a half or so I have been spotting/bleeding and it is annoying. To add insult to injury, now the left side of my girl bits is tender and painful and sometimes it just hurts to walk across a room. So basically I am thinking that I will just go back on the pill to salvage my sanity. So I just wanted to let you all know that I am definetely not giving up (I have come way to far for that), I am just taking a couple days off from exercise, except for maybe some walking here and there, until I feel better. Sorry if I grossed y'all out, just figured I'd let ya know what is going on with me.

I meant to post the updated measurements before I left for work this morning, so I will tonight.

accckkk...I forgot to post the measurements again...I did them I promise. I am feeling pretty OK today, so I am going to try to go walking at least. I also think that I am going to get DH to take a "during" picture of me...and I will try to find an earlier pic of me that is more full body for my before shot.
